I was still confused as to why Sirius wanted to work with me. We had hated each other since first year, when he had made fun of me and "accidentally" poured pumpkin juice on my skirt. It was a nice skirt too! It was blue and had white polka dots on it. It was very comfortable too, and he just goes and poured pumpkin juice on it. Here's exactly what happened:
I was sitting at the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall with Lily, eating breakfast.
"So did you do your DADA homework?" She asked me.
"It's Saturday, we don't need to do homework yet." She chuckled and we went back to eating our cereal.
"There's Sirius Black," Lily said.
"So?" I asked
"I know you have a crush on him,"
I could feel my face burning with embarassment. She laughed.
"I knew it."
"How'd you even know?"
"You stare at him during class."
"It's not my fault he sits in front of me!" I exclaimed.
"Shh, here he comes." We went back to eating our cereal and trying not to laugh.
"Hey Scarlett," Sirius said.
"Hi," I replied. I picked up my pumpkin juice to take a drink and his hand flew under it and poured it on my skirt.
"Sorry," He smirked and walked off with James.
That was the day Sirius Black became an ugly slug, and I can't even believe I told you that memory. I can't believe I used to like him, he's disgusting.
So after that, I decided to try to ignore him. But in Potions class, that didn't really work out. Professor paired us up with each other and he kept slipping the wrong ingrediants into the cauldron. I was frantic and tried to fix it, but it kept getting worse and Sirius was just there laughing. We, of course, failed and that's how I started getting so bad at Potions class.
I started worrying about the ingrediants and if I put them in or not, so I would accidentally put in the same thing twice. I still do that, it's a habit.
Sirius tried to talk to me after, but I kept ignoring him and after a while he started to do more mean things to me. He stopped about two years ago, when we stopped talking altogether. He would still say the occasional insult, but other then that, no talking.
So you see how it could make no sense as to why he wants to work with me now.
I paced around the Gryffindor common room thinking about this and then I bumped into someone.
"Sorry!" I exclaimed. I looked up and saw Sirius.
"No, it's okay, I was just bringing up some potions books for you to look over." He smiled. A genuine smile. His eyes were even lit up, like a little kid at Christmas.
Things keep getting weirder.
"Um, thanks." I furrowed my eyebrows. "Why would you bring me books?"
He coughed. "Um, just so you wouldn't have to spend all year with me as your tutor."
"Oh, thanks." He handed the books out to me and I took them.
"So I was thinking Wednesday we could study again because tomorrow you have Quidditch."
"Yeah, that's fine." I said quickly. "Bye."
I walked up to the dormitory and threw the books on the floor. I fell onto my bed and sighed.
The next day at Quidditch practise, I was so confused I almost fell off my broom seven times. I never do that! After practise James ran up to me and hit my arm.
"Ow!" I shouted.
"What was that?!" He yelled. "You were terrible today!"
"I'm tired, that's all." I shrugged.
"That's all?! Scar, you almost fell and would've hit your head, and then you wouldn't be able to play in the game next Saturday!" If smoke could literally come out someone's ears, it would be James' right about now.
"I'm sorry, I promise I'll be better next practise." I said.
"You better be, or else you're getting kicked off the team!" He ran past me out of the pitch. I sighed and dragged my broom across the ground as I walked. I finally picked up my broom when I got to the castle and walked up to the seventh floor.
"Hey, what's wrong?" I heard Sirius' voice from behind me and I turned around.
"James." I replied.
"Oh yeah, he was steaming when he walked into the common room." I nodded. "So what did he do?"
"Why do you care?" I asked.
"Um, well..." He trailed off.
"Exactly." I turned around and said the password. I walked into the common room and up to the sixth grade girls dormitory. I layed on my bed and fell asleep within seconds.

"Oh my gosh Scarlett, wake up!" Lily yelled.
"Whatdyouwan?" I mumbled.
"Wake up, we're going to be late!" That got me out of bed. I bolted out of bed and grabbed some clothes. I ran into the bathroom and jumped in the shower. I took the shortest shower I had ever taken and threw on my robes. I brushed through my hair and threw it up into a ponytail. I ran back into our room and grabbed my bag.
"Let's go!" I said. We ran out of the common room and started to run down the stairs.
"I can't believe you wouldn't wake up!"
I yawned. "Well you're lucky I'm even up now."
She rolled her eyes. We ran into the History of Magic classroom and took our seats. Thank goodness Professor Binns was a ghost. He was talking about goblins or something, and I was guessing we didn't miss anything. A paper slid onto my desk.
Sleep in, much?
I knew it was from Sirius. I sighed.
Y'know, it's really weird that you're talking to me all of a sudden.
I waited for the paper to get passed back to me, but it was twenty minutes before I got it back. Things were crossed out over and over, and I couldn't tell what he tried to write before.
Sorry.
I sighed. Why couldn't he get that I didn't want to talk to him?
Okay, here's chapter four! Thank you guys sosososo much for reviewing! :D But this is the favorite story of 12, can you all review!? :3 I'm power crazy, yes I understand. But anyway, I have another story up and I'm going to post the second chapter to it when this one is validated, so I won't be updating anytime soon, I'm sorry! But I hoped you liked this chapter! :D
