Mum said Hogwarts would be fun. She was wrong. She said when she went there everything was idyllic, and that I'd have the best time of my life. She was wrong. She said all the teachers would be nice. She was wrong. She said that they'd look after me, make sure I was all right. She was wrong.
Dad said me and Mum were freaks, that people like us were weird and that we were bad. He was right. He never wanted me to go to Hogwarts, said that it would be bad for me. He was right. He said this stuff before he left us a couple of years ago. He was right to leave us.
Neville Longbottom told us first years not to worry about the Carrows, that he'd protect us from them. He told this to all the DA members. He tried to. He helped us the best he could. He got hurt for it.
Ginny Weasley and Luna Lovegood made this year easier too. They taught us how to defend ourselves, and how to duel. They were really nice and very positive; even in the "dark times" that everyone says we're in. It was mostly Ginny, because Luna was taken hostage on Christmas break, but after Easter Ginny didn't come back either.
A couple of weeks ago Michael Corner rescued me from the dungeons -where the Carrows chained me up- and got tortured really badly. Luckily I got away and Seamus Finnegan showed me the Room of Requirement. I've been living here ever since, because the Carrows are still looking for me.
Everyone said that Harry Potter would come to the school, and now he has. He's here, and all the DA members are really excited. We can't wait to here what he has planned, and what we can do to help.
Wow! Most of us didn't think Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley broke in to Gringott's, but they did! Mum said it was the safest place in the world. And guess what! They rode on a dragon! A real live dragon! I think Harry Potter is an even bigger hero now.
Uh-oh! Something weird is happening to Harry. He just collapsed (lucky Ron Weasley caught him) and there is sweat all over him. Everyone is wide-eyed, and can't believe what just happened. There's nothing we can do for him either. We could take him to Madam Pomfrey, but the Carrows'd probably catch us, and that would be too risky for Harry. He's the Number One Desirable at the moment, and if they find him, he'd probably be locked in Azkaban for the rest of his life, or worse. Azkaban is a wizard's prison, where all the criminals go. They have dementors there, which are scary cloaked figures with scabbed hands. They're really scary.
Harry says he needs to go with just Hermione and Ron. Everyone is confused, because we thought when Harry came we'd help him overthrow Professor Snape and the Carrows, but he doesn't want to do that. I can't help but wonder why he came here in the first place.
Luna just arrived with Dean Thomas. The haven't been here, so they think we're still planning on overthrowing the Carrows and Snape. The DA members are getting angry, because Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger won't let us help.
Just then Ginny and three of boys came through the tunnel, followed by an Asian girl. They also think we're still fighting. Neville must have said that on the fake galleons that everyone has.
Ron seemed to have a brainwave, and he said to Harry, "Why can't they help?" Harry was a bit shocked and they began murmuring so we couldn't hear. Meanwhile the two redheaded twins that came in with Ginny had been telling jokes. They were really funny. When I saw that one of them had a hole where his ear was suppose to be, I realised they were Ginny's brothers, Fred and George. She had told me all about them when I was scared of the Carrows. Like how they stole a flying car from their dad to get Harry in his second year, because his aunt and uncle wouldn't let him go back to Hogwarts, and how they again rescued Harry from his house with Aurors. They're good people who track dark wizards.
After the Golden Trio (Ron, Hermione and Harry) had finished their hushed conversation Harry addressed the crowd. He said he needed to find something that belonged to Rowena Ravenclaw, and then the Ravenclaws in the room started talking about a diadem.
Eventually Harry left with Luna to see what the diadem looked like, and we were all left to wait until they came back. It was nail-biting, and I could tell we were all a bit caught up in our own thoughts, mine mostly being "What if the Carrows find Harry and Luna?"Ö
