Friends, in this chapter there are some question-answers, which you may feel boring. But these are questions that my friends asked me after I told them this story, so I thought of adding them in the story. Riya told her tale. Now everyone believed her and knew her secret. But they still had doubts.
“I know you want to ask me questions, but one by one. I’ll answer all of them, and truthfully.” Riya said. And the question-answer session began.
“Why didn’t you tell us your surnames on train? We were alone then.” Ron.
“Yes, but I was afraid you won’t believe me.”
“And why wasn’t Piya’s surname announced during sorting?” Fred.
“Fairies don’t have surnames. Piya is Fairy-born witch so…”
“Professor Snape is so rude with everyone. So how does he love you?” George asked doubtfully.
“He loved my mom and so he loves me. He thinks I am just like my mother and Harry is like my father.”
“But he is a death eater. How…” Ron started saying with hatred in his eyes.
“He was. But after my parents’ death, he improved. He wanted to leave Voldemort, but then he decided to remain in his service to become Albus’s spy.”
“What about your boggart?” Harry.
“I was afraid that you would never believe me and that Piya may leave me. So I was afraid of loneliness, I am afraid of no other thing.”
“Is Malfoy your friend?” Ginny asked.
“Yes. He knew about me since his father knew. His father is Severus’ friend and a teacher. So Draco knew that I am a fairy since he started school. He knows everything.”
“Why were you severely hurt when you had the duel with Ron?” Hermione asked carefully.
“I was sensing someone evil around me. You know that if I’m attacked when I’m not feeling well, I get severely injured. And Scabbers alias Peter Pettigrew was with Ron and I felt sick.”
“But where were you? We visited you in the hospital wing and Madam Pomfrey seemed afraid.” Harry asked.
“My condition took a turn for worse and so Severus took me to the F.D. Of course, no witch or wizard can enter fairyland without help of fairies. So Piya came to help me. And so she too missed her classes.”
“Riya tell me the truth. Did you know that Peter betrayed James and not Sirius? And did you know about me?” Lupin asked, with worried look.
“Yes Remus. Albus told me all this when I was three. I came to the earth with all knowledge about my parents. I knew ‘bout you and I wanted to help Sirius to escape. So I learnt Patronus and I wanted from bottom of my heart that Harry too should learn it. That’s why I was very happy when Harry casted his first Patronus.”
“Riya, where did you go during Christmas holidays? You said you weren’t going home.” Hermione.
“Yes. Severus had work and so we didn’t go home. But I and Piya went to meet our friends in fairyland.”
“Riya, you…” Harry started saying, “O I’m sorry I didn’t believe you at starting. Please forgive me. You were always trying to save me and I kept on suspecting. But now I’m sure that you are my only true relative. You are MY sister.” Harry was almost in tears and so was Riya.
“Don’t cry Ri. Everything is fine. Now you have your true friends with you. And I too am always there.” Piya said.
“Harry, now that you know that I am your sister and that your Godfather is busy, will you come stay with me? Or will you prefer staying with Dursleys?”
“Riya I have no problem with you but I won’t be able to live with Snape and he too wouldn’t like me. We’ll better live as we used to. But we’ll stay in contact.”
“I knew your answer. Well, all right. Ron, are you still cross on me?”
“No Ri. You are my best friend. I haven’t seen a dedicated sister like you.”
“Ronald Weasley, don’t speak such things in front of your sister.” Ginny said. Everyone laughed.
It was hard for everyone to believe that Snape was Riya’s Godfather and the fact was hard to accept, but for Riya they accepted it. She truly loved him and would even give her life for him. But now she got more people to love and so all was well.
After about two weeks, Riya was completely well and so Madam Pomfrey allowed her to leave. Riya started attending her classes as exam was near and Snape and Dumbledore were back in school.
Riya told Severus and Albus about all that had happened.
Harry, Ron and Hermione were called in Dumbledore’s study.
“Harry, do you believe Riya now?”
“Yes I do. And I have accepted her whole-heartedly.”
“What about you Mr. Weasley?” Snape asked in an angry tone.
“I believe Riya. She’s my friend.”
“Is she? I didn’t know this. Well, Ri, have you accepted them as friends?”
“Yes Severus. I always wanted to. And I am happy now that they have accepted everything.”
“Good. But listen to one thing Mr. Potter, the fact that I’m Riya’s Godfather shouldn’t become a barrier in your friendship. My relation with Riya shouldn’t affect her life.”
“Yes professor. We’ll take care.” Hermione said.
Snape and Dumbledore were satisfied and Harry and his friends left.
After two days it was Sunday. Riya had promised her friends that she would show them the Room. So Harry, Hermione, Ron, Riya, Piya, Ginny, Fred and George went to the Room.
All settled down on the couches.
“Ri, can you show us some fairy-magic?” Fred asked.
“Yes Ri, please do. I’m so eager to see a fairy…” Ron said, blushing.
Riya smiled and muttered something. Suddenly there stood Riya with silver clothes and a silver wand with a star. Piya too muttered an incantation and her clothes turned blue and she held a wand similar to Riya’s but it was blue.
They both looked beautiful and charming.
“Do all fairies wear similar dresses?” Hermione asked.
“Yes. But common fairies have either white or lavender dresses. And they cannot change the color of their dress. Princy and the others in the Parliament wear golden dresses. I and Piya are there in Parliament and we too have to wear golden dress while going to meetings.
And the fairies that are special can chose the color of the dress while going for the parties and I and Piya generally chose pink ones. We can thus wear three types of dresses. And every jinni has to wear a yellow dress, but the special ones can choose a golden one.” Riya explained.
“Wow! Can you show us some magic?” Ron asked.
“Magic? I will show you that.” Hermione removed her wand.
“Mione let Riya do that.” Harry said laughing.
Riya waved her fairy-wand and Ron’s nose turned pink.
“Not on me Ri! Why do you target me?” Ron said hiding his nose. Everyone laughed. They enjoyed for about two hours and then Riya and Piya returned to their normal clothes. They went to the common room.
Hermione and Riya went to the library to study.
The exams went very well and all students were busy packing. Next day, they were going home. At night Harry and his friends gathered in the common room.
“You guys don’t forget to owl me.” Hermione said.
“I won’t owl you…” Ron said.
“And I will.” Harry said.
“Will you owl me? I hope you will.” Riya said.
“Of course we will,” the trio replied together.
All of them were happy. Harry didn’t want to leave Hogwarts but he was happy that he got two new friends. He had prepared himself to go back to Dursleys.
Next day all of them sat in the Hogwarts express. Piya went to sit with Ginny and Riya sat with Harry. They started their journey home…
