Chapter 13 : From Dinners to Howlers
| ||Rating: Mature||Chapter Reviews: 2|
Background: Font color:
“Bit late for mail isn’t it?” Ginny questioned, as her family owl Errol dropped a howler in front of her.
“Better open it Gin, you don’t want to ignore a Howler. Ignoring it is worse than the actual Howler itself.
Just as she started to unfold it, it started to unfold itself, Ginny braced herself for whatever could be thrown at her by her mother.
“HOW DARE YOU REACT LIKE THAT! YOUR BROTHER IS ONLY CONCERNED FOR YOUR WELL BEING. AND YOU SWITCH HOUSES? I DIDN’T EVEN KNOW YOU COULD DO THAT! IF YOU PUT A SINGLE TOE OUT OF LINE, YOU WILL NOT BE RETURNING FOR YOUR SEVENTH YEAR NEXT YEAR!” Her mother yelled at her thru the Howler before ripping itself up into pieces in front of her.
“I can’t believe she treats me that way. I’m her only daughter you think she would treat me differently than as if I’m ‘one of the boys’ because I’m not. She needs to realize that. She’s doing to me, what she did to Percy before he came back. She pushed him away and treated him awfully until he had enough and left. Granted he came to his senses later and came back. But I might not come back if she pushes me enough. I can easily move in with you and be with Blaise. And she probably won’t even know the difference.” Ginny said hanging her head
Ginny, Mia, Draco, and Blaise decided to go back up to their common room after to sit around the fire and talk about what had happened the past few days. Draco and Hermione were sitting next to each other holding hands and Mia had her head on his shoulder. And Ginny and Blaise were sitting the same way. They talked about everything. From this being their last year for most of them, to what Ginny would do without them next year, to the wedding and how everyone reacted, to how Ron and Harry had come back to them so fast, to Harry and Britta. They talked about everything they could think of, and before they knew it the girls were fast asleep lying on their laps, leaving the boys to talk alone.
“Draco, I really like Ginny” Blaise blurted out. “I got something for her but I need your help to figure out when I should do it.”
“What do you mean you need my help?” Draco asked a bit confused.
“I don’t want to do this with the girls’ right here because I don’t want to take the chance of them hearing it accidentally. So let’s go put them in bed” he suggested.
So the boys picked up the girls and put them in their beds so they could talk freely and be able to move about.
“So what’s this you say you got something for her, but don’t know what to do about it?”
“Well, we were shopping in Hogsmead the other day and we walked by this jewelry Shoppe. And she had commented on this necklace, saying she loved it and she had always wanted it. But her parents never had the money to get it for he-“he had started but was cut off by Draco
“Don’t tell me you got it for her?” he mentioned, because Draco knew the necklace he was talking about, and it was a lot of money “that necklace was a lot of money”
“That’s not all I got her man,” he reached into his pocket and pulled out a little box “go ahead, open it, tell me what you think.”
Draco opened the box to find a beautiful engagement ring. “I don’t know what to say,” he said acting as if it were to him, “I’m already married, this could be a problem” he joked
“Not you, you idiot. Ginny. I’m going to ask her to marry me. You think her parents will approve?” Blaise questioned kind of skeptical
“Not a chance, but who cares? Because if you love her, it shouldn’t matter. And besides after that Howler she got at dinner form her mum, I don’t believe Ginny’s going to be going back there anytime soon…” Draco pointed out
Blaise looked a bit dejected “your right, it shouldn’t matter, because I do love her. She’s coming to stay with me this summer, that’s final. She will live with me after the gets all her stuff from the Burrow”
“If she says ‘yes’ you mean” Draco pointed out
“Oh my god, she might say ‘no’. What If she does? What am I going to do? I spent so much money on these gifts.” Blaise started to rant as Draco slapped him across the face.
“She’s not going to say no, pull yourself together. She loves you. Hermione’s told me many times how Ginny feels about you. Don’t even worry about it. There isn’t a chance she’ll say no. She will gladly move into the Manor this summer, just give her time to go home, collect her stuff and tell her parents, because she needs to tell them first.” Draco had convinced Blaise that it would all turn out okay in the end.
“Yeah I know I mean I know my parents would be pissed if I randomly came home and told them I was leaving because I was engaged. So ill give her some time at the end of term for her to go home and tell her parents and then collect her things. As long as she knows she has a place to go to when she leaves, because if I know her parents, or really just her mum because that’s all I’ve had contact with, they will probably kick her out of the Burrow.”
“She loves you Blaise, don’t even think twice about anything. I can guarantee she will jump up and down and say yes, when you ask her.” Draco pointed out.
The boys realized how late it was so they both went to go lay down next to their girlfriends. Draco realizing that he was finally lying with his wife, and Blaise realizing that he will soon be lying with his wife. They both fell asleep content with their girls in their arms.
