When You Come Back To Me Again
Chapter 13: Better Than Me
I really miss your hair in my face
And the way your innocence tastes
And I think you should know this
You deserve much better than me
-- Better Than Me
Hermione, Draco, and Rogue were a family. Finally. All Blaise could say was it took them long enough to figure out that they were meant for each other. Dred still hadn't come back. They all knew he was fine, as they had seen him about, but none of them were eager to invite him back or apologize for nothing. So, they let him be.
Hermione was looking for house, though. She figured that Harry's house was crowded enough. So, she decided that she and Rogue would move into their own house and Draco would move in with them. If Draco didn't like it, then... she didn't care. He would just have to live with it, or fix it himself.

"Mione!" Cordelia called. Hermione walked over to her. "Look at this one!"
"It doesn't look... I dunno... right," Hermione said, looking at the picture of the house.
"It's just how the picture was taken, I'm sure. I've seen it before and it's perfect. It has five bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a dinning room, a living room, a basement, and a Muggle game room, among other things. It's perfect."
"What's the yard like?"
"Um... Three acres of land. Some woods, a small quidditch pitch, and a pool," Corde answered.
"Well, then let's go check it out."

"Hey, Potter?" Draco asked.
"Where are they going?" He gestured towards Hermione and Cordelia driving away.
"I'm not sure, really," Harry replied running a hand through his hair. "Probably off to go shopping or something. Hard to tell with those two."
"Hermione's not that hard to read if you know what to look for, and she's your best friend. And Corde's your girlfriend. Which means you should know these things."
"That may be a good point," Harry admitted, "but I really don't know."

"You were right," Hermione admitted to Cordelia when they reached the car. "It's perfect. Hopefully, Draco likes it."
"If he doesn't then there's something wrong with his head," Cordelia laughed.
"I already know there's something wrong with his head, but there's serious damage if he doesn't like the house."
"I know Rogue will like it. But it's too empty right now. We, meaning the two of us, Riley, Ginny, Lynn, and Glory-"
"Don't forget Grady," Cordelia interrupted.
"Right. And Grady, are going to go shopping for furnishings for that house."
"Sounds awesome. When is this gonna happen?"
"As soon as humanly possible," Hermione sighed. "Because I want to try and get it done before we move in."
"Tomorrow it is."

The next day, Hermione, Cordelia, Riley, Ginny, Amberlyn, Glory, and Grady all loaded up in cars and took off for town. Janessa was going to be meeting them a the store, as she was secretly paying for everything. She was thrilled that Hermione finally had a house of her own. Snape was just happy that she and Draco had finally settled their differences. But, even though he was happy, Snape still refused to talk to his daughter. Which, in turn, pissed Janessa off, so she wouldn't tell him that she was using his money to buy things for Hermione's new house.
"We need to split up if we want to get everything done," Amberlyn stated. Janessa nodded.
"Okay," Janessa started, "Corde and Grady, you two get the kitchen and dining room. Ginny and Riley, you two can do the guest rooms. Amberlyn and Glory, you can to the living room and library. And-"
"What about us?" Caleb asked coming up behind all of them, with Pogue and Tyler in tow.
"Well, you just threw everything off," Hermione muttered. Janessa nodded in agreement.
"In that case, Tyler will go with Amberlyn and Glory. Pogue, you go with Corde and Grady. And Caleb, you come with Mione and I. Let's go, then! We only have all day!" Janessa exclaimed.

Four hours and quite a bit of money later, they had everything that was needed to fill Hermione's new house. From chairs to coffee tables, beds to lamps, they had everything. Even a pool table. It was crazy. They left with everything in the big trailer Janessa conjured [when no one was looking, of course]. When the employees walked away, they quickly shrunk everything, placing it in the cars, then got rid of the trailer and modified the memories of the Muggles that had seen before leaving.
When they reached Hermione's new house, the Sons of Ipswich looked at it, jaws dropped, eyes wide. The girls simply laughed and carried the miniature things inside as they continued to gawk. Janessa started yelling orders again.
"Okay, Corde and Grady, you two can take care of the... what would you two like to do?"
"How about we stick with whatever rooms we shopped for?" Corde suggested.
"That's rather smart," Janessa said. "So, Corde, Grady, and Pogue, you go to the kitchen and dinning room. Amberlyn, Tyler, and Glory, you have the living room and library. Riley and Ginny, you have the guest rooms. And the rest is for us to do, Mione, Caleb. Let's go." The boys [minus Grady] all sighed and were drug away by the girls.
"So, we have mine and Draco's room, Rouge's room, the game room, and the basement, right?" Hermione asked. Caleb nodded as they watched Janessa walk in circles around the game room. "Mum?"
"I'd like to do this room myself, darling," Janessa said with a smile. "If you don't mind, that is."
"Of course not. We'll go get started on my room then," Hermione said as she led Caleb to the room she had picked for her's and Draco's room. "I don't really need a lot in here."
"I know. I saw the difference been your side of the dorm and Corde's side," Caleb said with a smile as he held the mini furniture out to her. She grabbed the bed and enlarged it. "I guess you want me to move it until you have it in the place you want it?"
"No. That's what a wand's for, dear," Hermione laughed. "They'll have Pogue and Babyboy doing that, but I'm not that mean. Promise."
"That's good. So what are you gunna do with the basement anyhow? Or even Rogue's room?" he asked. She looked at him.
"Rogue is smart enough to do her own room. She'll draw it up tonight and I'll do it tomorrow," she explained moving the bed over to the far wall, by the door. Then she moved it to the wall with the window. "There. What else is there?" Caleb's hand held a mini dresser, nightstands, desk, and bookshelf. Hermione grabbed the dresser.
"That would be extremely heavy," Caleb sighed. "Thank you for not making me lift it."
"No problem. But you do know that most of the weight is from the mirror, right? And that could be taken off to move it." She enlarged the dresser and positioned it on the other side of the window. Then she took the nightstands. Before long, they were done. "If Draco wants to add anything, he can. That's good enough for me."
"Then let's take the mini furniture to Rogue's room and set it down. Then we can head for the basement."
"Sounds like a plan."

Caleb and Hermione stood in the basement. Hermione was deciding what to do. She hadn't the slightest clue as to what she should do.
"You could turn it into a party room," Caleb suggested. Hermione thought for a moment. Amberlyn, Tyler, Kate, Pogue, and Sarah walked down the stairs to the basement.
"We figured you guys could use some help with this room," Kate said. Amberlyn nodded. Hermione laughed.
"We don't have stuff for this one, do we?" Caleb asked Hermione slowly. She shook her head. Sarah, Amberlyn, and Kate shared a look. "I don't like how you three are smiling."
"We just happen to have everything for the basement," Sarah said. Hermione smiled.
"Thanks. But you guys didn't have to do that." Amberlyn hugged her.
"We know, but we wanted to help."

Hermione and Cordelia pulled back into the driveway. Harry and Draco were in the living room. They looked up. The girls froze.
"Where have you two been?" Draco asked.
"Out?" Cordelia said as if it were obvious. "You wouldn't have wanted to come. There was mucho shopping and girl talk."
"Where's Rogue?" Hermione asked. Harry pointed to Rogue's closed door. Hermione walked over to it and knocked before entering. Rogue looked at her. "I have a favor I need to ask you."
"Okay," Rogue said. Hermione pull a sketch pad and colored pencils from her bag.
"I want you to draw what you want your new room to look like. Then I'll do it tomorrow. Can you do that for me?" Rogue nodded excitedly. Hermione gave her the sketch pad and colored pencils then left her room. She went to the kitchen and started to fix a cup of tea. Draco walked in and sat at the counter.
"So where were you?" he asked. Hermione looked at him.
"Filling our new house with furniture," she muttered.
"I'm sorry. I think I misunderstood what you said. Did you just say 'our new house' is where you were?" he asked. Hermione nodded. "We have a house."
"Yes, we have a wonderful house."
"Our own house?"
"When were you gonna tell me you bought a house?" Draco asked.
"Once we were done fixing it up," Hermione sighed. "But, I wanted Rogue to design her own room, so I had to wait to do her room. And mum isn't exactly the easiest person to work with. So, it may take a while before it's finished. But I think you'll like it."
"How big is it?"
"Five bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room, a dining room, a Muggle game room, and a basement. Corde's been in it before, and she said that there are othe rooms. So, a few more random rooms here and there. Two stories, not including the basement. Three acres of land. There are some woods, a small quidditch pitch, and a pool. It's a nice house. And it's in a wizarding town." Draco nodded as Hermione prattled on about the house. "You could come with Corde and I tomorrow to finish up if you want."
"I'd love to." And so he did.
~ ~ ~ About a year later.
"MUM!" Rogue yelled up the stairs. They were going to be late for Serenity's birthday party. "Hurry up or grampa will never for give us!" Hermione appeared at the top of the stairs.
"I'm coming! And I have a few suggestions for your grampa," she said. Draco laughed at this. "Okay, let's go!" The family stepped into the fireplace, clearly said their destination, then disappeared into the green flames.
A/N: Okay. So, what'd you think? Can't tell me unless you leave me a review.
