Note: A Wichetty grub is an Australian wood-eating larvae if you want to know what they look like, then Google it haha! They are gross, you can eat them and apparently they taste like chicken (that's what everyone says when they eat a bug) or almonds. And no I haven't tried one >< ewww....

Enjoy!

.MementoMori thanksss!

When Sirius had walked away, Heather, Kim and Mary rushed over cheering.

“You did it!” Heather cried.

“Pfft, that was nothing, I once had to eat a Wichetty grub,” I said happily.

“Aw, now I wished I had picked dare!” Mary said pouting. “I bet I could have kissed a Slytherin!”

“I'm sure you would have,” I said with a smile, patting her on the shoulder.

“Ew, I'd doubt you would have succeeded Mary, but that would have been a good one!” Kim laughed.

I looked over at Lily; who stood back, arms folded. It looked like a scene from a movie, her red hair blew back in the breeze and her famous emerald green eyes were narrowed, but a slight smile was on her lips.

“Come on, that's it for today,” she finally spoke, “Let's go in for lunch.”

“Yes! Lunch, I'm starving!” Kim said. “Let's go!”

The girls began climbing the stairs, but I didn't move, and surprisingly niether did Lily.

“You girls go ahead,” Lily said.

The girls exchanged looks, but Mary just took them by the arms and led them away. I positioned myself one step below Lily, readying myself for the conversation about to come.

“Lily, why don't you like me?” I asked awkwardly.

Lily sighed, “It's not that I don't like you, Adams, just more that I don't trust you. Something is rather, airy about you, and until I know the truth about you, and your Slytherin friend, I will continue to be on my guard. But I do not rule the other girls opinions and they like you, so I can't hold them back.”

Well, at least Lily didn't hate me. That I was happy about. Lily was pretty smart, and I didn't blame her for not trusting me, I decided it was best to take it slow, let her come to trust me, and not force it.

“I'm glad to hear that you don't hate me,” I replied, smiling slightly. “I really don't mean to come across airy, but I guess it can't be helped. Dom and I just 'appeared' and even though we didn't expect to fit in straight away like a new kid normally would a few days into their new school, this isn't normal – it's a magical world. Plus, I know Volde – I mean, Who-Know-Who is rising to power, so I understand that a lot of people are watching their backs. But, if I were to do something, I would have done it by now; you can totally trust me, Lily.”

Lily grinned. “I'll decide when I can trust you, but for now don't put a foot out of line, with my friends, or anything else.”

“I won't.”

“Good.” Lily placed her hands on her hips, sort of in a motherly way. “Now watch yourselves with the Marauders also. Potter is a toerag with a huge head, and Black is no better and take into account that is a massive flirt. Remus, although better and more mature, thinks highly of his friends and would easily take their side, and with Pettigrew, always watch the quiet ones.”

“Errr, thanks for that warning Lily, but you dislike them and I think I will hold my own opinions on them,” I replied. “But, yeah you are right with Peter, and yeah, he's got some answering to do in the future ...” I paused and hoped she didn't take not on that. “But for now he's alright … I guess.”

Lily rolled her eyes, and gave me back my clothes. “Whatever, hurry, let's go and eat.”

That sounded good and climbing the stairs, I followed Lily back into the castle.

After lunch, I went back to the common room. Sitting down on the couch, I took out my mirror and opened it and patiently waited for Dom's face to appear, when it didn't, I snapped it shut and became more worried.

“Hello, Sophie!” A familar voice squeaked from beside me. Looking up, I met with Peter's watery blue eyes.

“Hey, Peter,” I said, shoving my mirror back into my pocket.

“I'm so glad that you've started a clean slate with the boys, I just wished you became proper friends though.”

“Hm,” I hummed and then I remembered. “Hey, you know Heather?”

“Heather...”

“Perrywhittle,” I replied.

Peter smiled. “Oh, yeah!”

“Talk to her and get to know her,” I said. “She's really cool, and I think you two would get along well.”

“Really? Does she like me, huh?”

“Well, yeah.” For a rat, he was pretty quick at guessing, pitty he grew out of it and it didn't do much for him in the future.

“I don't know, I mean isn't it obvious I like someone else?” Peter said, smiling slightly at me.

I sighed. “How much has Sirius and James rubbed off on you?”

“Sophie, go out with me!”

A lot obviously.

I stared at him, and bit my lip. “Err, Peter...”

“Come on, you won't regret it, I'll make you very happy!”

“That's nice, but-”

“Oh, come on, Sophie, please!” He grabbed my hand. “There is something different about you, and it attracted me straight away, you are one of a kind, and I want you to be my girl.”

Crap. Think of a nice way to let him down, Sophie! Don't you dare say yes! You'll regret it! You don't want to be the one who goes out with the one who kills his best friends and resurrects the Dark Lord do you?!

“No!” I accidently blurted.

“N-No?” Peter stammered.

“I mean sorry Peter, but it's just not going to work out and you know that, we are completely different people,” I said. “Trust me, you'd be happier without me – plus I am definitely not ready for a relationship right now.”

“As I guessed, why do I even bother,” Peter sighed, leaning back. “All the girls might respect me, but when it comes to asking them out, they turn me down flat. Prongs keeps saying 'don't worry Wormtail, the right one will come' but of course they like Padfoot, Moony and Prongs, they always do.”

“Well, Peter, James is right, the right one will come and when she does, trust me, she'll only have eyes for you.” I said gently, I couldn't believe it, but I felt completely and utterly sorry for him. And even though he was downright evil in the future, this was now and I couldn't hold anything against him, so I decided it was best to help. “I know how you feel, sometimes I try so hard to grab the attention Dom get's when we're around super hot guys, and in the end I feel stupid and foolish, because I wasn't acting myself.”

“You're pretty, Sophie.”

“Thanks Peter. Now, talk to Heather, she really likes you and maybe she could be the right one, but you haven't noticed it yet.”

Peter thought for a moment. “Well, yeah, she is cute huh?”

I smiled and playfully punched him. “She tot's is! Now at dinner, approach her and talk about things, okay?”

Peter nodded. “I will, thanks, Sophie.”

I smiled. “No problems.”

Finally, I felt my mirror vibrate and pulling it of my pocket, I opened it to see Dom's smiling face, my heart leapt.

“Meet, Reg and me in our room.”

*** *** ***

I couldn't get there fast enough, rushing inside I saw Dom and Regulus sitting there waiting. I rushed forward, biting my lip just to prevent a smile, just in case I had been fooled.

“Sophie, I'm sorry,” Regulus said, from his corner spot on the floor. “I wasn't angry at you, but myself, for not being able to talk to my brother, and I disappointed you.”

I smiled. “You didn't disappoint me, nor did you disappoint Sirius, don't worry about it, Reg.”

“Well it felt like I did, when you and Dom walked out of the Great Hall, I was scared I'd just lost the two people who didn't see me as anything but myself.” Regulus said softly, his eyes adverting. “Everything's different now, the unsaid, is going to be left unsaid, sorry Sophie.”

I bent down and placed my hand onto Regulus' shoulder. “Oh, Reg, don't worry, just don't worry about it, I'm sorry I planned it without telling you.”

“I probably would have made it worse if I did know, so you did the right thing, things just can't be fixed.”

“I know, damn it, I know!” I said, tears prickling behind my eyes. I looked over at Dom, her eyebrows were knitted, she looked so angry and yet in the most vulnerable state I've ever seen her in.

I already knew we couldn't change the future, and some things had already changed by Dom and I arriving here. But, going with the flow, no matter how bad it was going to be, even if we knew what was coming, and didn't know what was coming, the best way to go.

“You are too forgiving, Sophie,” Regulus said, shaking his head.

I sighed. “I know, but that's just the way I am.”

“One day you might not be able to forgive someone, what would you do then?”

I shrugged. “Guess I'd have to wait until that day. Now, please, let this be the first and last fight.”

Regulus smiled slightly. “Yes, let this be.”

I smiled and gave him a hug. “Now, let's go find Matt and Christy and see if they want to hang!”

“Actually, Yo, Reg and I have to do something,” Dom said, there was something in her voice that hinted it was Slytherin buisness and I couldn't believe she wasn't going to tell me about it. I was a little worried and annoyed to say the least.

“Hey, Reg,” I said tightly. “Do you know Mary MacDonald in my year?”

Regulus huffed. “Oh yeah, of course. She had a thing for Lamont Mulciber, the stupid girl kept interfering with Slytherin Qudditch practice, bloody Mud-Muggleborn, why?”

“So that's what you were going to tell me about, she has BBS huh? Personally, I don't blame her.” Dom laughed.

I smirked. “Well she got bewitched right? Because she got in too deep with danger. Don't tell me you are doing Slytherin things, bad things, Dom.” I looked at her and she looked away slightly – a dead giveaway.

“Don't you look at me like that, Sophie, it's not like I have a choice!” Dom snapped.

“A choice, Dom, a choice – look we know-” I stopped myself and stood to my feet.

“Sophie, don't be worried,” Regulus said. “She's in good hands.”

“Good hands, isn't good enough! Dom, you know, you've read the books, you know what can happen!”

“Soph-”

A knock broke us off, and Christian Nott's squinty face peaked over the door. “Black, thought I might find you in here, we are all waiting on Austin and yourself.”

He looked at me and I rolled my eyes. “I'm leaving.” I turned to Dom, who was frowning. “We will talk about this later.”

And I took my leave to find Matthew. It didn't take me long to find him, he was walking out of the library, several books in his arms.

“Matt!”

He spun around and smiled when he saw it was me. “Sophie, hey!”

I rushed over to him. “What's up?”

“Oh, well I am getting some more books out to help with teaching you girl's next tutoring lesson.”

“Oh, thanks so much, Matt.”

Matthew smiled. “No worries. Anyway, you alright?”

I shook my head. “Dom might be falling for the Slytherin ways...”

“No way! I'm sorry to hear about that, Soph,” Matthew said apologetically. “Want to talk about it?”

I nodded. “Yeah, I'm getting a little worried, and scared.”

“Come on, let's go outside and enjoy the weather before the rain comes.”

“Sounds good.”

It was a little chilly outside, but it was fresh, and I took a deep breath of the clean air, you could smell the rain coming and the sky was darkening by the minute.

“So it's hard to believe you and Dom have only been here for six days huh?" Matthew began.

I nodded. "It is incredibly hard to believe, it feels like we've been forever."

"So you think Dom is converting into her own house, huh?” Matthew asked.

“I know she's Slytherin, but that doesn't mean she has to act like one,” I said, bringing my knees up to my chest.

“Oh, so I can't act like a Ravenclaw and you can't act like a Gryffindor?” Matthew said slowly.

I just stared at him mouth opened, annoyed, because he had a point. “Okay, you have a point, but you know what I mean.” I finally said, pouting slightly.

Matthew chuckled and rubbed my back gently. “I do, don't worry. Look, if Dom is as smart as you say and as I know she is, she'll pull out, you never know she could only be doing this to impress someone.”

“Who?” I asked in surprised. “A guy?”

Matthew huffed. “Black.”

I was even more surprised. “Regulus? No way! If she liked him that way, she'd tell me, besides even she's not that stupid to follow his footsteps even if she does, because...” I trailed off and put my head into my hands. “Never mind.”

Matthew smiled slightly. “Don't worry, you can tell me in your own time. And don't worry about Dom, she'll come around, you've been having trouble with your house right? Maybe, secretly, she is too.”

“Well if she is, and if I find out who it is, they'll be nothing more than hair and clothes by the time I'm finished!” I spat. “And I'm sure, Regulus could do worse.”

Matthew laughed and I couldn't help but to laugh also.

“Just remember, Slyherin house is very strict and Dom might be feeling pressured slightly, but she's headstrong and soon she'll snap, so don't worry okay Soph.”

I let out a breath. “You're right, thanks Matt.”

“No worries.”

I looked at him, his honey brown eyes, I noticed, had gold specks in them. And his hair was looking more careless and curly than ever today. He was classically handsome, my fingers twitched to touch his hair. A smile ran across his lips.

“Matt, do you play Quidditch?”

“I use too, but it's just not my thing anymore,” He replied. “I used to be captain for the Ravenclaw team, believe it or not.”

“Cool, super cool.”

I don't know what happened, but Matthew was suddenly so close, his hand reaching over and placing a loose strand of hair behind my ear. I smiled slightly, as he titled my head and leant in even more, and I found myself moving closer, it was just inches between us. My mind was cloudy and I didn't know if I wanted to kiss him, but I did … how teenage hormones made you do weird things.

“OH! Oppsy!”

Matthew and I jumped and pulled apart right away to see, Sirius, who's smile disappeared, with a giggling Hufflepuff girl on his arm.

“Looks like the stairs are taken. Uh, well, the broom cupboard it is then! It's going to rain anyway,” she said, pulling Sirius, who just kept staring as she dragged him off.

“Alright...” Matthew mumbled.

“Matt...” I mumured looking back to him.

Matthew smiled. “Yeah?”

I moved to touch his cheek, but I pulled back, and pretended I was scratching my hair. “Uh, n-nothing, um, we should go back inside too, I feel it spitting.”

Matthew nodded as he helped me back up, taking my hand we went back inside.

Christy had come along not long after and stole Matthew away, so I decided to go back into the common room, meeting up with Heather on the way.

“Hey ya, Heather, sup?”

“Oh, Sophie, erm sup!”

I laughed. “What are you doing?”

“Looking for you actually,” she replied. “Peter come over and spoke to me!”

“Wow! Really? That's great!” I said happily.

“I know!” Heather said smiling. “It was great, but, to be honest, I realised, he's my type physically, but not mentally – if that makes sense.”

“So, you don't like him anymore?” I asked with sincere surprise.

Heather shook her head. “I wish we did get along, but we just don't have the same morals and interests, he seemed, I don't know, odd.”

“Heather, I am so sorry.”

Heather shrugged, sadness shown in her blue eyes. “No, it's okay Sophie, and thank you.”

“For?”

“Asking him to talk to me – I kind of overheard your conversation.”

“Heather, I didn't want to hurt you,” I said, placing my hand on her arm.

“You made me realise my true feelings, so it's okay and I know you didn't want to hurt me, and you didn't, so we are cool okay.”

I smiled happily. “We are tot's cool.”

Heather laughed. “Tot's.”

“So does Lily like anyone?”

“Remus, last I heard.”

“WHAT!” I cried. “Serious?!”

Heather looked as though she wasn't mean to blurt that out. “She only told me because I caught her staring at him dreamily, but no one else knows, so keep it a secret okay?”

OMG! OMG! OMG!

“Okay, but whoa! I would never have guessed, the way she talks to and about him is so composed and normal!”

“She's good at hiding it,” Heather said.

“She is! That was unexpected!”

And I was about to encounter another unexpected thing. Heather and I approached the Portrait of the Fat Lady and saying the password we walked in and rounding the corner, we saw two people making out on the couch. Heather and I gasped a little, and covering our faces we continued to walk past, trying not to laugh.

“Heather, Sophie!”

We turned around, and my eyes uncontrollably widened when I saw it was actually James and Kimberly.

“Holy shizzle!” I cried, Kim grinned cheekily and straightened James' crooked glasses. “So you really did get to him, Kim!”

Kim giggled. “I sure did.”

“You've got me to thank!” Heather said, and Kim winked at her.

“Thank you, Heather!”

James chuckled. “I heard about your little encounter with Sirius, Sophie, he said you were wearing very nice erm, see-through underwear.”

I blushed. “Well it was a dare, at least one of us benefited from it.”

James wrapped an arm around Kim and gave her a gentle kiss. I watched them, it just didn't seem right seeing James with someone that wasn't Lily – even though I did take into account that they didn't officially start dating until 7th year (which was next year obviously.) It was weird finally realizing James would have dated other girls since it was only written that James asked Lily out every five seconds, but despite that I wondered if he just tried to push his feelings aside. And Lily, who had a thing for Remus! I couldn't believe I was here, in the past of Harry Potter, and about to watch everyone's love unfold, and in the midst of it all, Lily and James' love, it would be so popular and yet so heartbreaking, and not knowing they were to have a son that would spend half of his life trying to kill the man, who killed them and tried to kill him. If only they knew what was in store...

“Soph?”

I shook my head and smiled. “Yeah?”

James stood to his feet. “You alright, you seemed dazed out?”

“Oh, yeah of course I am!” I said quickly and cheerfully. “Congrats, you are so cute together!”

“Well guys, I'll see you around!” Heather said, taking my arm

“Alright, bye, Heather, bye Soph!”

“Bye.”

Damn it, I can't change the future, I really can't, damn it...

"Well, that was surprising, wait till Lily finds out!" Heather said, giggling as she jumped onto her bed.

"Lily's reaction ..." I trailed off, when I saw Sirius' jacket drapped over my bed, best to give it back. Picking it up, I pulled it close to me, and my heart skipped a beat when I smelt something familiar, something really nice. I stood there for a moment, wondering what it was. Looking at Sirius' jacket, I slowly brought it up to my nose, Heather watched with a raised eyebrow from her bed. I sniffed, and mint, herbal and a woody scent filled my nostrils.

"Um, Sophie, what are you doing?"

I snapped back and chuckled. "Oh, nothing, better go give this back to Sirius, brb - that means be right back btw, oh and that means by the way IM, long story!"

Heather just nodded slowly and spinning around, I walked out of the dorms and treading causiously on the last few steps, before peeking around the corner, just in case James and Kim will still up to buisness, but they were gone. So smiling, I walked out and stood on the first step leading up to the boys dorms. I bit my lip, wondering if I should go up, but then deciding that I'd already been up there before, what harm would it do going up there again. So going all the way up, I reached the door, and turning the handle, I pushed the door open, only to walk in on Sirius and the Hufflepuff girl I'd seen eariler on.

"Oh, shiz, not again!" I said, spinning around. I'd seen enough making out today to last me a lifetime I think.

"Sophie, what the?" I heard Sirius cry, as he scrambled to his feet, the Hufflepuff girl let out a groan of frustration.

"Sorry, thought no one was going to be in here," I apologised. "Just came back to return your jacket!" I outstretched my hand behind me that held the jacket and Sirius chuckled.

"Just turn around, Sophie."

I did, biting my lip. "Totally sorry, I swear."

"It's okay, I was getting bored anyway."

"WHAT!" The girl cried.

I laughed, and handed him the jacket. "Here you go, Snuffles."

Sirius' eyes widened, but a smile twitched at his lips. "Snuffles?"

I shook my head and giggled. "Nevermind."

And with that I spun on my heel and walked out.

A/N: There you go guys! How was that? I hoped you liked it ^^ I'll warn you now, that chappie 14 may take a while as I want it to be absolutely perfect and right now I'm not satisfied with the structure and whatnot BUT it's the beginning of the awesomeness to come :D So until then, please review and I'll make sure the next chappie won't take TOO long!
