Hermione always knew that Draco Malfoy was not good for her. It wasn’t just in the way he smirked, or the horrible things that he said, or the way he carried himself around others. It had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that she was a muggle born and he was the toast of the pureblood world, or the fact that his father would spit at her on sight. No, the reason that Draco Malfoy was not good for Hermione Granger was because of the thoughts that he made her have, horribly awful thoughts that ran through her head nearly constantly.
So when the two of them were made head boy and girl in their seventh year, after the war had taken place, she had gawked at Professor McGonagall, commenting on how unfair it was that she would have to share a common room with him. After all, what a stupid idea to share a common room, didn’t the staff at Hogwarts have any common decency anymore? And to share a bathroom as well..the thought was ridiculous.
And yet here she was, on her stomach with her legs bent behind her, trying to focus on all of her work in the midst of their final, glorious year at Hogwarts, after all the changes that had been made in their lives.
“Draco! Would you please stop making that awful noise?” she sighed loudly,looking in his general direction. He was in their common room, and she was in her own bedroom that was located off to the side.
“Can it, Granger, I’m busy,” he said, frowning deeply at her before turning back to his desk. Hermione couldn’t tell what he was doing, but it was absolutely the most annoying noise she had ever heard. She rubbed her temples and wished she could move back into her old room in Gryffindor tower. Surely Professor McGonagall wouldn’t mind? She could break years of Hogwarts tradition, right?
“I can’t believe I’m stuck in this room with you,” she said, feeling as though jumping off the astronomy tower would be more fun than sitting in here. The noise stopped abruptly and he stood and walked to her bedside. Her bed was decked completely out in Gryffindor colors, and he stared down at her, making her feel very uncomfortable.
“You know what, Granger, I’m just about sick and tired of you telling me what an awful life you have, now that you have to live with me. How do you think I feel? I’m stuck in this room with YOU. And I know we’re just going to go around and around in circles here, so let me get it over with for you: I’m a know nothing ferret, my family is a disgrace, and I shouldn’t have been allowed back into the school. And in response, I thought I should tell you that I. DON’T. FUCKING. CARE. Now back off and leave me alone!” He snarled, turning to leave. Hermione sat on her bed, stunned. Her thoughts ran a million miles in her head.
“Draco! Wait! I’m sorry but…I didn’t just say those things, you did. That is to say..sorry that’s not what I meant. I didn’t know you were so…annoyed with me, I guess. I’m sorry.” He stopped in his tracks and turned around, and it looked like a single tear was glistening in the corner of his eye.
“Do you know what it feels like to be completely alone from everyone else? I mean, OI know I was never super popular, but now things are even worse. I don’t even have anyone to turn to. Crabbe is dead, I have nothing, I’m lower than low. And I don’t need you to rub it in my face every time you see me. And it’s even worse because now I have these…these feelings and I don’t know what to do with them!”
“What feelings?” Hermione asked, her bottom lip shaking.
“I-I don’t want to talk about it. Leave me alone, Granger.” She reached out a hand and grabbed him. He stared deeply into her eyes and then she surprised him with a kiss. It was an honest, deep kiss that made her go weak in the knees. He ripped his lips from hers and stumbled backward.
“How…how dare you!” he shrieked. Hermione felt smaller than anyone had ever made her feel in her life. “How dare you touch me like that! How dare you…how dare you come close to me, when I…when I…”
He lunged at her then, pushing her all the way back to the bedroom. His tongue slid into her mouth and she felt a chill up her spine as she relished the taste. It was beautiful. She felt his hands roaming all over her and she couldn’t help but notice everything was happening so fast.
“Draco…” she whispered.
“It’s always been you. It pained me so long but I’m free. I love you Hermione, I always have. And I want to have you.”
“Oh Draco…I want you to have me!” she moaned. She felt like he was kissing her everywhere, and then in the heat of everything, when she couldn’t believe it anymore, THEN THEY DID IT And it was so unbelievable and awesome, they couldn't catch their breath. They had the best relations, losing it all. It was romantic.
When everything was over, and she lie softly in his arms, she knew it was true- this was the beginning of an entirely new Hogwarts experience.
A/N: This is like my 3rd time submitting this story, it kept getting rejected for NC-17 material but I finally got some good advice and took it out. It's not nearly as good as it used to be but I hope you still like it! Read and review, it makes me happy when you do! Hopefully I'll get another chapter up, it's gonna get much better!
