I watched her silently. Her blonde hair whipped her face when she suddenly spun in a circle. I could hear her humming softly to herself. Her green eyes sparkled in excitement when she found a flower she liked. Flowers, she loved them. A perfect red rose could brighten her day and bring the dreamy smile that I loved so much to her lips. Every so often she would glance over at me and smile. That smile, that beautiful smile, took my breath away and time stood still. Butterflies jumped in my stomach and a thick cloud covered my mind; I couldn’t think. She was beautiful. In that single, simple smile I was reminded how lucky I was to be able to call her mine.
It still amazed me that someone as perfect as her could ever love me. Why me? I’m nothing special. She deserves so much better than me. I’m as imperfect as anybody could be but I’m the most amazing person in the world in her eyes.
She brings out the best in me. Because of her I’m a better person. When faced with a difficult decision I think about what she would do and I’m able to make the right choice. Does she know how special she is?
She was able to see past the horrors of life and find beauty in the simplest things. Forgiving, kind, caring, that’s what she was. Everyone was equal to her. It didn’t matter if you were muggleborn or a pureblood, a Slytherin or a Gryffindor.
She had a dream. A dream of bringing the world together and putting differences aside. She wanted everyone to feel the simple happiness that she did. In her dream world all prejudices disappeared. The seemingly never ending pain of the world would cease and everything would be okay. It wouldn’t be perfect, she wasn’t asking for perfection but it would better if everyone could just get along.
Abruptly she stopped. She turned to face me and grinned widely. She held out a hand for me to take. I pushed myself slowly off the wet grass and took her hand. I pulled her close to me putting one hand on her waist. She placed her free hand on my shoulder and we started to dance.
Her bubbly laughter brought a content smile to my face. Her eyes had a dazed look in them, the look she got when she wasn’t seeing this world but realm of her mind. I knew she was seeing things I could only imagine. I will never understand that way her mind works but that’s okay. When she comes back to reality she’ll explain it to me just like she always does. I’ll listen intently and try to picture her world but I’m never able to truly grasp it. She was a dreamer, she would always be a dreamer, but as long as she was my dreamer my life was perfect because I, Teddy Lupin, am uncontrollably in love with Victoire Weasley.
