Rose Weasleys hand was shaking as her large (and hugely annoying) family stood around her shooting daggers and giving her the third, no fourth degree.
It was so typical, three months of pure joy and happiness was all she was destined to have whilst here at Hogwarts. And those three months of sneaking around shooting flirty sideward’s glances at her amazing man were perfect. Amazingly so.
But that stupid stupid James Potter had gotten in the way of that by seeing her and her guy walking to class together.
Now this may not seem to strange to you. Guy and girl walking to class. Not holding hands or anything innocent right?
Wrong.
Not when that girl is Rose Weasley and that guy is Scorpius Malfoy.
No that’s not a typo.
A Malfoy and a Weasley who'd have guessed?
Well not Rose's family that’s for sure! And they were MAD. Like I mean proper mad so mad that they had all gathered together and made everyone leave the Gryffindor common room. And I mean everyone, anyone who wasn’t a Potter or a Weasley was forced out of there.
Rose cursed her family for having so many prefects, and you know what, even just people at school right now!
Honestly there was a small army of them her Uncle Harry and Aunt Ginny’s kids Al, Lily and James (the pain in the ass who's fault it was she was busted) her Uncle Georges twins Fred and Roxanne her Uncle Bill's daughter Dom even Uncle Percy’s daughters Lucy and Molly, who were almost never invited to these gatherings because of their tendency to tell on them for whatever weird uncle Percy like reason, and to top it off her brother Hugo. And let me tell you they looked maad.
Rose didn’t understand why. I mean sure Scorpius father had been an enemy of her Dad and uncle Harry at school, and sure Draco Malfoy had been a death eater, but that didn’t say anything about Scorpius! He hardly ever saw his Dad! Only for the last two weeks of the summer every year. And he wasn’t even a Slytherin.
Didn’t that prove that he was different from the rest of his family?
Apparently not. Not from the looks Rose was being given from the family. But there was no way, she was caving. There was no way that her parents were going to find out about her and Scorp. She would lie through her teeth to her army of kin to stop that.
Who was to say they were not just walking to class because Scorpius missed out on the DADA homework? They couldn’t tell if she was lying right?
Shit!
Lily would know! Her and Lily had discussed their weaknesses when it came to lying. Lily knew that if Rose started blinking that she was lying. But Lily would drop her in it right? They were best friends. Had been since forever. No Lily would keep her secret, Rose had kept enough from James and Al for her in the past. She's just lie, that’s what she'd do.
Rose was vaguely aware of everyone shouting around her, she was sitting in her favourite chair- which she'd been forced into by the way!- trying to make herself look innocent while she worked out a way to fix the mess she'd gotten herself into.
It wasn’t until the noise stopped and she saw that everyone was staring at her that she realised she had been spoken to. Trying to think what Hugo had just accused her of her face looked blank and confused.
"Rose!" He repeated "What the Hell do you think you were doing with the Malfoy boy?!"
He looked livid and ,despite the cover story Rose had thought up, she was struck dumb. The guilt as clear on her face as the anger was on her families.
"I.....I.." She stuttered and then blurted "Its not what you think!"
Authors Note- Theres Chapter one! I Know that its a little messy and difficult in places but this is my first fanfic so go easy on me! Please? I obviously am not Jo Rowling (much to my dismay) so all credit goes to her! Reviews make me happy! So please review! :D - Kirsty x
