Author's Note: Hey everyone! I'm sorry about the long breaks between updates...I'm just so busy right now. I'm planning a singing competition at my school, lots of tests and quizzes are coming up, lots of homework, Christmas, photography projects, friends and family issues, directing grade eights and nines, writing a script for a webshow I'll be writing, directing and acting in, and all sorts of other things. So its quite a handful. And I do have all the chapters for this story done, the thing is that I don't have all the chapter images done. Which gets annoying when you try to think of things to put. But I've managed to get two or three ahead, which is good. Now it's just about going over the chapters and making sure there's no mistakes. Thank you for all the reviews and I look forward to more! They give me lots of inspiration ;)
So my parents suggested my sisters bring my stuff down for me. I don't know why they didn't think of using magic, seeing as how I used my wings to fly downstairs. Oh well, their fault. So anyways, my sisters were just bringing down the last of my stuff for me.
"Okay, well, I must be going mes soeurs. Are you to-," I said, indicating my parents, "-coming to drop my off or shall you be staying here?"
"We're coming," My dad said, and the tone of his voice told me I wouldn't be able to convince him otherwise. Not that I would want to, but I think my family was used to me arguing.
"Okay, see you in less than a second!" I said, taking hold of a few of my bags and Apparating. I arrived at the station and grabbed a trolley, putting my few bags on it before my parents Apparated there as well and put the rest on it. Sono's carrying case was on the very top so I quickly took him out, slipping him into my purse (Yes, he was still that small) and looked around for anyone I knew.
There were a few people that I recognized, but then a group came onto the platform all chattering loudly. I automatically recognized the redheads and the tall boy in the middle with messy ebony hair and emerald eyes. And he was being followed by a...scruffy black dog? I walked over and bent down with quite a bit of trouble and gave the dog a scolding look.
"Snuffles, you know you're not supposed to be here. Bad doggy," I said, tapping its nose lightly before he growled at me. I stuck my tongue out at the "canine" before standing up again, using Harry as support. I gave him a hug, having missed him even though it had only been a matter of days since I had seen him. Hey, I was a girl in love - I couldn't help it. "How are you?"
"I'm good - even better now," He said, making me smile as he gave me a light kiss.
"My dad is right there," I muttered, shooting a look over at my dad who was going over to talk to the Order members. A loud whistle blew on the train only moments later, signaling that it was time for everyone to board the train. "I'll be right back, I have to say goodbye to everyone." I said goodbye to everyone, my mom and dad giving me the usual speech about no drugs, no drinking, behaving, and keeping up my marks with the new twist of 'no sex'. Well, they definitely didn't say that before...must be the whole boyfriend situation. I boarded the train with all my luggage, taking a deep breath to calm myself. "I always hate having to say goodbye to my parents."
"It'll be okay - you know that," Harry said sympathetically, placing a kiss on the top of my head. "Shall we go find a compartment then?"
Hermione and Ron exchanged looks before Hermione spoke up, her voice shy and cautious. "Well - er - Ron and I are supposed to go to the Prefect's carriage."
"Oh," Harry said and I could literally feel him become tenser at this. "Right. Fine."
"But I don't think we have to stay there the whole journey. It said in our letters that we're supposed to get instructions from the Head Boy and Girl and then just patrol the corridors from time to time," Hermione said.
"Fine," Harry said. "I - I guess I might see you later then."
"Yeah, definitely," Ron piped up. "I'd rather - I mean, I'm no Percy - I mean, I'd just rather hang out with you guys."
"I know," Harry said, a forced smile springing to his face as I started leading him away with Emilie and Ginny to find a compartment. We looked into every compartment and every single one was full. Then we finally came upon one that only had two people inside of it.
"Hi Neville, Loon- I mean, Luna, do you mind if we sit here?" Ginny asked.
"No, n-not at all," Neville stuttered, holding onto a very odd-looking plant as well as his toad, Trevor. The girl opposite to him had long, straggly, dirty blonde hair, bright blue orbs for eyes and was wearing a pair of earrings that looked like radishes. Emilie and I exchanged devilish looks, grinning widely before taking our seats. I say close to the window beside Harry and across from Luna. Ginny and Emily sat next to Luna, with Emilie sitting right beside her.
"That's a pretty sexy plan you've got there, Nevy," Emilie said, winking at Neville which caused him to turn a bright shade of crimson.
"Er - it's a -" Neville started.
"Mimbulus Mimbletonia," I said, staring blankly out the window to feel several pairs of eyes turn on me.
"How did you know?" Neville asked, looking at me in shock.
"Yeah, how did you know?" Harry asked, giving me the same look.
"Oh! Um, I just know some pretty random facts. Like that Mimbulus Mimbletonia are native to Assyria which is also a country that a certain type of cat comes from," I said.
"Does it do anything?" Harry asked, looking at it oddly.
"Loads of stuff!" Neville said proudly. He started going on and on about it and before I knew what was happening, Stinksap covered the whole compartment.
"Gross," I commented, spitting out some onto the floor that had gotten in my mouth.
"Sorry, it's never done that before - didn't know it would be so - don't worry, Stinksap's not poisonous," Neville stuttered as I shuddered. Trust me; it was not the potential poisonous aspect that disturbed me about it.
"Scourgify," Ginny said, flicking her wand and it all disappeared, thank goodness.
"Sorry," Neville said again in a tiny voice.
"Aww, it's alright Nevy," Emilie gave Neville a hug and he turned bright red again. I just shook my head at her crazy antics.
"Okay, Emily needs candy," I referred to myself in third person as I stood up, dragging Harry along with me.
"You honestly don't need any candy," Harry mentioned as we walked around, trying to find the elderly witch with the candy trolley.
"Who says I want that kind of candy?" I asked, waggling my eyebrows at him.
"Are you trying to suggest something?" Harry asked in a suspicious voice.
"You can interpret it however you want," I said, winking as he swiftly grabbed my by the waist and placed his lips onto mine. My arms found their way so that they were loosely hanging around his neck as he backed me up into a wall.
"I kissed a girl, and I liked it. The taste of her cherry chapstick," a song started playing from my back pocket. I pushed Harry off of my for a second while I reached my phone out of my pocket and slid it open so that I could read the new text message from Brad.
"What the hell? Brad knows I'm going off to school," I said and as I opened the message, Harry kept kissing my neck.
That is absolutely disgusting.
I pressed the reply button and started typing my reply, giggling as Harry continued trailing kisses all over my neck.
What on Earth are you talking about, boy?
I sent it and seconds later it vibrated to show I had gotten a text back.
Look behind you.
"Look behind me? That boy must be doing some serious dru-" I turned around and saw Brad standing in the middle of the aisle. "AH!" I ran over and almost tackled him to the ground, hugging him tightly. "What are you doing here?"
"Well, you know, I just thought I'd sneak on the train and all," He said sarcastically. I stuck out my tongue at him before giving him another hug. "I can't believe you're coming to Hogwarts!"
"Me neither, but I got a letter from Dumbledore and decided to keep it a secret until now," Brad shrugged.
"But how will you ever live without your cell phone and texting?" I asked dramatically for his eyes to widen fearfully.
"What? Cell phones don't work here?" He asked, frightened.
"No electronic devices work at Hogwarts," I said and he looked as if he were about to commit suicide right there. See, the thing about Brad is that he was addicted to his cell phone and texting. So much that in class he would just wait until the teacher turned their back to start texting again. "Suck it up. We're going to go get some candy, would you like to come with us?"
"Sure, I need something to cheer me up," Brad said, acting all depressed as I took hold of Harry's hands and attempted to skip, but ended up almost falling, if not for Harry and Brad both catching me. And I noticed Harry glaring daggers at Brad when this happened. Uh oh, I felt some jealously from my boyfriend towards my best guy friend. That's not good.
We got to the sweets trolley and I got out my money before starting to order, just narrowly avoiding a cat bite from Sono who was sleeping in my purse.
"I'll have ten Bertie Bott's, five Drooble's, ten Cauldron Cakes, seven chocolate frogs, eight pumpkin pasties, and nineteen licorice wands, s'il vous plaît," I said and the lady got out a large brown bag and filled it up with all the candy I had asked for. I paid her the designated amount before turning to Harry and Brad. "You two better get your own because I'm not sharing."
"You really are a pig, you know that, right?" Harry asked teasingly, kissing my cheek as he wrapped an arm around my waist protectively, causing me to roll my eyes at his overprotective antics. They were both ordering when I heard a voice I definitely could've lived without hearing.
"Emily, is that you?" A high-pitched, girly voice from behind me said.
"Shoot me, shoot me now," I muttered to myself, pretending not to hear her.
"Emily, did you hear me?" She said again, this time tapping on my shoulder forcing me to turn around.
"I'm sorry, love, you must have me mistake for someone else," I said in a fake British accent before turning around again.
"You are so funny! You always did love British stuff," She said, forcing me to turn around again, and this time stay that way.
"Why are you here Kacey? Didn't you torture me enough back home?" I asked morbidly.
"Oh Emily, I never meant to be that cruel to you. I was just...jealous," She said, looking at me with those perfect blue eyes of hers. Kacey was taller than me by a few inches, skinnier and had longer blonde hair and blue eyes. She also wasn't as pale as a ghost like I was. "I'm sorry for all of that."
"That's okay - er - I guess," I said awkwardly, playing with a few strands of hair.
"Well," She said cheerfully, "I have got to go see some acquaintances of mine, but I'll see you at school."
"Yup," I said and I waited until she had walked out of sight before freaking out. "God, I hate her!"
"What's the deal with her?" Harry asked as we started walking back to the compartment.
"She's the daughter of Satan," I muttered under my breath angrily to get an odd look. "All through school she made my life hell. I had to switch schools in elementary school because of her and then she was at high school, and made that hell, and now she's at Hogwarts and is going to make that hell. I DON'T WANT MY LIFE TO BECOME HELL!"
"It won't," Harry cooed soothingly. "You have all of us and we won't leave you no matter what."
"Good," I said, giving him a kiss on the lips as we entered the compartment. We noticed Hermione and Ron were there now. This compartment seemed to get smaller and smaller. Not good. The compartment door opened again and there stood Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle.
"Aw, just when I thought this day was going to be good, but then I saw your ugly mugs," I said sarcastically for Harry, Ron, Ginny, Hermione and Emilie to laugh.
"Manners, or I might just have to give you a detention," Draco drawled for his cronies to laugh. "You see, I, unlike you or Potter, or Grant for that matter, have been made a Prefect which I means I have the power to give out punishments."
"No, did you figure that out?" I asked sarcastically. "Seriously, unlike you, we are not complete idiots so you can get out and leave us alone."
"So Potter, tell me, how does it feel to be second-best next to the Weasel?" Malfoy asked.
"Shut up," Hermione growled defensively.
"Did I hit a nerve, Granger?" Malfoy asked. "Just watch yourselves, because I'll be dogging your footsteps."
"Someone's a stalker," Emilie noted, smirking and he looked gobsmacked.
"Get out," I said, pushing him out, accidentally "firing up" as I so fondly like to call it. I slammed the door shut behind him and rolled my eyes before sitting back down on Harry's lap. His arms wrapped around my waist as he rested his chin on my shoulder.
"Anyways Luna, these are my friends Harry, Hermione, Emilie, Ron, Neville, Brad, and Ginny and my name is-"
"Um...yeah," I said, giving Harry a look and he shrugged. "Just a question. How do you know me?"
"Doesn't everyone?" She asked, giving me one of her dreamy looks. "You transferred to Hogwarts last year, that's why the school opened a month later than usual, you went to the Yule Ball with Harry Potter and are currently dating him, and you were in the Daily Prophet last year, not that I read it. I heard it from some of the girls in my dormitory that were gossiping."
"Wow, that's...not normal," Harry whispered for me to smack him on the head.
"So I see you're reading the Quibbler," I said, smiling. Luna looked up from her magazine and Hermione just rolled her eyes.
"That's such a rubbish magazine, there's not a true word-"
"My father is the editor," Luna said and Hermione opened and closed her mouth, resembling a goldfish.
"Hermione, that is a great goldfish imitation! Anyways, I happen to think it looks really interesting," I said earnestly. "Mind if I take a look?"
"Not at all," She said before handing it to me. I flipped through the page and found an article on Nargles. "Emilie, they have an article about Nargles!"
"Are you serious?" Emilie asked. "Dude! One time I was certain I saw a Nargle nicking my Poptarts! Do Nargles like Poptarts?"
And the sad thing about that statement was that she was dead serious. She really scared me sometimes.
Next time on "Chaos in the Order"
"You are trying my patience Miss Williams," She said through gritted teeth, her anger obviously getting the better of her.
"Oh really? I didn't know!" I said, looking thoughtful for a moment. "Oh wait, yes, I did know that."
"Miss Williams, you can join Mr. Potter for detention tomorrow night," She said.
"Actually, you won't see me because I won't be attending your petty little detention," I said cheekily, smirking at her reaction.
"YES YOU WILL YOU FILTHY LITTLE HALF-BREED!" She screamed at me.
