“Luna!” a voice came from behind her.
The voice belonged to Ginny Weasley, a very close friend of Luna’s. Luna, who at the time as sitting on a bench outside of the Great Hall, looked up from an issue of the Quibbler and smiled at the red head who was sitting next to her.
“So, have you heard of this?” Ginny said taking a piece of parliament out of her bag and handing it to Luna.
“The Blind Friend Program,” Luna read out loud, “What’s that?” She asked staring a Ginny with her big blue eyes.
“Well, you send your name in to Parvati and her and who ever she’s doing this with will give you and someone else a note with the same distinction on it, you two meet, then you have to spend time with that person for a week,” she explained.
“Well, doesn’t that seem kind of dangerous?” She asked.
“There aren’t any serial killers here at Hogwarts Luna” Ginny giggled.
“That’s not what I meant,” Luna laughed along with Ginny, “I meant that what if the Slytherin’s are sending there names in too, than isn’t there a chance you will get matched up with them?” Luna questioned.
“I never thought of that, woops,” Ginny confessed.
“You do have a least a 50 percent chance to be put with a Slytherin,” said Luna in her normal dream-like voice.
“Yeah…” Ginny started to play with her fingers. Luna knew Ginny for a long time and she could tell something was bothering her.
“Ginny, what’s wrong?” Ginny tensed even more, still looking at her fingers.
“I entered your named too.” She finally looked up Luna with a nervous smile.
“Why?” Luna said calmly.
“I didn’t want to be the only one enter this because Hermione definitely wouldn’t do it with me and plus you like to make new friends, don’t you?” Ginny asked.
“Yes, I quite enjoy making new friends so I suppose I can’t be mad,” Luna smiled. Ginny then hugged Luna with a smile planted on her face.
“If your partner is a douche-y git then you have the right to hate me,” They laughed.
“No, I’m not entering,” Draco said to Pansy as they were walking though the Paved Courtyard.
“But why not? I’m doing it!” Pansy argued.
“I think it’s stupid. Plus I don’t want to spend a day with anyone here let alone a week,” he debated.
“Well I entered your name anyway,” she admitted.
“WHAT? I told you a million times that I didn’t want to enter! What don’t you get about that very clear statement?” Draco groaned.
“Oh come on Draco! Why can’t you do it for me,” she begged clinging on to his arm smiling playfully.
“Fine, but you owe me big time,” he said pointing his index finger at her.
“Ok, but to make sure you don’t try to get out of this…” Pansy then stood in front of Draco.
“I smell a bet coming on,” smirked Draco.
“Right you are my friend,” giggled Pansy.
“The bet is you have to stick with your partner for the week for more than five hours each day, if you follow though you get that astronomical model that you need,” she bargained.
“Alright but same goes for you,” he told her.
“Well then I want that enchanted coin you have,” she said.
“Alright then that settles that,” Draco said putting his hand out for her to shake which she gently shook.
“You’re on Draco Malfoy.”
