Hermione didn’t know weither to be scared, or happy that she was there. Would she have to live knowing Draco died for her? Before Hermione could even contiplate a plan Bellatrix threw Hermione onto the ground, as Draco rushed to help her up.
“I think you two’ll do good down in the cellar.” Lucious hissed and Bellatrix grabbed the both by the necks and lead them out of the room and back into the dark room, still occupied by two young girls.
“Hermione?” Ginny asked feeling her way over with Lavander, “Who else is here?”
“It’s me, Draco.” he said, as his eyes adjusted and saw two dim figures
“Oh, why are you here?” Lavander said
“I came for Hermione thank you very much” He said feeling around for Hermione’s hand.
“Hey Gryffindors!” Bellatrix shouted from above, Ginny and Lavander groaned
“Don’t worry about us, if you hear screams,” Ginny said slowly and getting up “Just come and take us up there. Didn’t your filthy mother teach you not to play with your food?” she snickered.
Belaltrix had came into the cellar and grabbed Ginny and Lavander, “your next”
Hermione swallowed hardly, thinking she was pointing to Draco. Hermione layed her head on Draco’s shoulder and let a tear fall.
“I’m sorry.” Draco said
“For what?” Hermione asked, gripping his non-visible pale fingers
“Letting them take you.” He said, as if ashamed of himself
“No, it’s not your fault. It’s mine. I should have fought back. You shouldn’t have even came.”
“Right, that’s Potter job to be the hero.” Draco said blankly, causing Hermione to laugh a bit
“You’re just as good as him.” Hermione whispered, shutting her eyes as she felt his lips on her head.
“You’re the one thing I live for, and the only person I’d die for.” he whispered in her ear
Hermione had hoped he wouldn’t say anything like that.
“Draco, I don’t want you to ever die for me. Do you understand?” Draco was taken aback
“Why is your wand in a knot?” he sat up and tried to look at Hermione
“What?” Hermione asked, not understanding, she had spoken clearly in English.
“Why are you getting all deffensive?”
“When I was little, I had a cousin. Me and him always played together and one day we were at the park. My hat fell into the lake and he asked me if I wanted him to go and get it. I told him yes, because I would die without it. Draco he went in and the current took him under. They found his body two days later.” Hermione was on the verge of tears remembering Timothy.
“Fine, I promise to never leave you alone in this world. Do you understand that?” Draco said, as they heard a scream above.
“GINNY!” Hermione screamed, her addrenaline rushing
Hermione pounded at the doorway, but nothing happened. She looked at Draco, who’s devious smile was being hidden by the darkness.
“Alohamora!” he cried and the door flung up
“Crucio!” Came a voice from the side of the doorway, Hermione let out a shriek.
