A week passed, and Ron and Luna came back from their honeymoon. That day after they got back, on Saturday, they turned up at Fred, George, and Hermione’s flat.
“Ron! Luna!” Hermione exclaimed when they walked through the door. She ran up and hugged each of them, “How was the honeymoon?” Fred coughed suggestively behind her, and Ron’s ears went red.
“It was very nice, thank you, Hermione,” Luna said, smiling. George coughed this time.
“Well, how have you been?” Ron asked, throwing one arm around Hermione and the other around Luna. Hermione shrugged, glancing at George, then looking away blushing. Ron was the only one who noticed this, and raised any eyebrow.
“Ah,” Ron said softly. Hermione looked down at her feet. They walked towards the couch and sat down.
“Ron,’ Hermione warned lightly, and Ron nodded.
“I told you what I think about it at the wedding,” he replied. Fred and George looked at each other.
“You know what I’m thinking Fred?” George asked.
“Probably. Enlighten me anyway, George,” Fred replied.
“I’m thinking that these two are just as bad as Harry and Hermione,” George said.
“Or you two, for that matter,” Luna piped up. Ron and Hermione laughed, and then Ron glanced at the watch.
“Oh, damn, look, guys, we have to go, we need to go see Harry, Ginny, and Mum and Dad, and Mum has told us to be at the Burrow in quarter of an hour. Hermione, I’m going over to Harry’s tomorrow, and you’re coming too,” Ron said. Hermione grinned.
“I’m glad I was asked about whether I wanted to,” she joked, poking her tongue out at Ron. Ron laughed lightly.
“We knew you’d want to. It will be just us three,” Ron said, as he and Luna walked out of the flat.
“Sounds great. I’ll see you tomorrow,” Hermione called as she followed them to the door. She waved good-bye as they apparated away. She turned around, and jumped. Fred and George had been standing right behind her.
“So, what do you think, George? You thinking they’re planning a threesome?” Fred asked. George didn’t answer, but seemed to shudder at that thought as he watched Hermione.
“Miss Perfect here? Nah. And I don’t see Ronnie or Harry cheating,” George said seriously. Fred gave his twin a curious look, before he turned away. Hermione made to move also, but George side-stepped in front of her.
“Where are you going, Granger?” George asked softly. Hermione nearly melted at his voice which sounded so seductive.
“George. Please let me pass,” she said weakly. George crossed his arms.
“What will you do for me if I do?” he asked. Hermione knew the answer in her head; ‘Everything, even if you don’t let me pass’, but she refrained herself from saying it.
“What would you like me to do?” Hermione replied instead, silently yelling at herself in her head.
“Hmmm…” George said, “Let me think…” He started scratching his chin on concentration.
“George! Let the poor girl go!” Fred said from the living room. George turned around, distracted, and Hermione took the opportunity to run out of George’s grasp. George ran after her, and when he caught up to her, tickled her mercilessly.
“Why don’t you two just go shag and get it over and done with?” Fred yelled over Hermione’s giggling. George instantly stopped tickling Hermione, and Hermione moved to the other side of the room, embarrassed. Fred sighed, wishing the two would get a move on and get together.
*~*
“George?” Fred asked that night. Hermione had gone to bed early, to read, and he and George were left in the living room.
“Mmm?” George asked, looking up from the accounts for the joke shop.
“Why don’t you tell Hermione how you feel?” George frowned, looking aghast.
“She’s just a friend, Fred,” George denied, but his ears were red. A telltale Weasley sign. Fred rolled his eyes. Like he would believe that for a second.
“George, you guys are always flirting. You know she reciprocates those feelings. So, tomorrow night I’m going to go out with Angelina, and when Hermione comes back from Harry’s, you’re going to ask her out, like a man. Like a Gryffindor,” Fred said, “You’re going to tell her that unlike the rest of the family, you don’t see her as another little sister, and you’re going to tell her you fancy her.” George sighed, and nodded.
“I guess so. You’re right…it’s just…what will the family think? She is like family, I’m sure they’ll see it as incest or something,” George said. Fred snorted.
“Mum will be happy that maybe one day Hermione will officially be her daughter, and Ron and Harry will be happy that Hermione’s happy, and surely Ginny would as well, and the others will get over it,” Fred said. George shrugged, and then he nodded.
“Okay. Tomorrow night, I’ll tell her,” George said. And with that statement, Hermione, who had been heading towards the kitchen for a drink, but had stopped at the doorway, walked quietly back to her bedroom.
So George had feelings for her too? Now that was very interesting…and she knew that tomorrow, with spending the day with Ron and Harry, and then the evening when George would tell her his feelings, would be very interesting indeed.
AN~ As you can tell, the next chapter is going to be very interesting :D Also, with no one being able to post for a week, and then me not being able to post any chapters until a week after that, it's going to be about two weeks before you get the next chapter - if I write it in time. But hopefully I will because I seem to have a bit of inspiration for it at the moment.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed this chapter, thanks for reading, and please review!
