Disclaimer: Sirius Black is a sexy beast, but sadly I do not own him or anything else from the Harry Potter Series :(
“Psst! Evans!”
Lily heard a whisper coming from her left. With the twitch of her head, she was staring at Emmeline, Alice, and Cecilia, all with their heads popped out of a door that connected to an empty classroom. Looking around to make sure no one was around to see, she slipped into the classroom and leaned on one of the desks. Alice shut the door, and her and the other girls all took places on the desks around Lily.
“So…is it true?” Emmeline asked, hesitantly.
“Is what true?” Lily asked, confused.
“That…you know.” Alice said, not wanting to say the word out loud.
“What?” Lily asked, again.
“Is it true that you’re…bisexual?” Cecilia said, the last word coming out in a whisper.
“What!” Lily exclaimed, “Oh! No, no, no! That was all stupid Potter’s fault.”
“What do you mean it was Potter’s fault?” Emmeline asked.
“It’s okay if you are, Lils.” Alice said, softly, “We won’t judge you.”
“Yeah, Lils.” Cecilia said, “We might be a bit mad you didn’t tell us before, but it’s no big deal.”
“Okay!” Lily said, “I’m not bisexual. Potter caught me looking at another guy and just assumed. It’s not true. I swear it.”
Emmeline made a relieved noise and wiped her forehead, “Well that saves us a lot of awkwardness.”
“Tell me about it.” Lily muttered. It had been hard the past few days trying to get through school when the Marauders had let out her “secret”. She was badgered daily, and also teased. However, one of the most unlikely person always came to her rescue. James Potter. She was beginning to think he might’ve changed a bit and matured, but she knew she was just kidding herself.
“Yeah, so, anyways,” Emmeline said, “How’s living with guys?”
“Disgusting.” Lily said, pretending to throw up, “I’d rather not hear about their latest nightly ‘adventures’ with the different girls of Hogwarts. Plus, throw in an odd smell and their inability to aim when using the restroom, and there you have it. Not the best experience to have.”
“I’m sorry, Lils.” Cecilia cooed, hugging her friend.
“Yeah, well, you kind of get used to it after awhile.” She said after letting go of the other girl.
There was a pregnant pause.
“So, did you hear? Hogsmeade is coming up.” Alice said.
“Oh, yeah, I forgot to tell you guys!” Cecilia smiled, “Diggory asked me to Hogsmeade!”
“Diggory?” Alice gasped, “As in the Amos Diggory?!”
“Yeah!” Cecilia exclaimed.
“No way!” Alice yelled. The two girls jumped up and down happily with excited screams.
“Would you two shut up?” Emmeline stressed, “And seriously, White! Diggory? Come on! He’s such a pansy!”
“Yeah, but a good looking one.” She smiled, “And he’s so romantic.”
Like Emmeline, Lily wasn’t too happy about her choice of going out with Amos Diggory. She kind of had her hopes up that Remus would gain the courage to ask Cecilia out, but apparently, he didn’t. She let out a disappointed sigh and watched as her two friends bickered about Amos. Though, she had to agree with Ceci. Amos Diggory was quite the catch. He had golden hair and beautiful grey eyes. He was a seventh year, Hufflepuff, and was with the popular crowd. She was happy for her friend for she knew Amos was generally a sweet guy.
The bell rang suddenly, signaling that class would start in five minutes.
“I’ve got to go guys!” Alice screeched, “I’ll see you at dinner.”
She tumbled out of the room followed by the other three. They said their good-byes to her and took off down the other corridor. Students now crowded the same hallway that had been empty minutes ago. Lily squeezed her way through, trying to stay besides Emmeline and Cecilia. They made it to Transfiguration in no time, and entered the room talking about something that had happened at lunch. As soon as Lily was seen by the other students, they class went silent. She let out a small sigh and sat down at one of the empty desks.
Ever since the school had found out she was “bisexual” they would get quiet when seeing her, then the moment she turned her back, would whisper secrets about her. It didn’t bother her much, which kind of had to do with the fact she was currently wearing a masks, hiding her true identity, but she did have a lot more respect for gay people who came out to other people. It was a lot to handle.
“Hey, Evanson.” A voice said from next to her. She looked up to see Sirius sliding into the seat next to her.
“Oh, hey, Sirius.” She said.
“So, you have to tell me.” He said.
“Tell you what?” Lily asked, confused.
“How James found out you were…you know, bisexual.” He said, “I mean we all have our theories and doubts on your, uh, straightness.”
Lily fought the urge to roll her eyes and said with a sigh, “He caught me looking at another guy.”
“Really?” He asked, “And you got wood that easily?”
“Wood?” She asked, confused, “What does going into the forest and getting parts of trees have to do with this?”
“Oh Merlin, you really have been deprived from some good ole’ loving, Evanson. Wood? You know?” Sirius said, making crude gestures around his genitals and sadly, Lily got the hint, “We need to catch you up.”
“Uh…no thanks?” She scoffed, “I hardly call your ‘adventures’ acts of love.”
“Well, maybe love wasn’t involved, but some other stuff was.” He said, wiggling his eyebrows at her.
“That’s sick.” She said, turning away from him.
“To you.” He said, “But to me…”
Lily didn’t even respond. She didn’t want to hear anymore of his degrading statements. There was a long pregnant pause.
“So what guy were you looking at?” Sirius said, breaking the silence that Lily had been quite liking, “I mean, he had to be pretty damn good-looking to get a stiffy that fast.”
“That’s none of your business.” She said, biting her tongue. She wanted him to shut-up.
“None of my business, my arse!” He said, “I’m your friend. Friends tell friends everything.”
“You’re just like a girl.” Lily sniffed.
“Uh! I am n-Hey! I know why you’re getting so defensive.” He smirked, “It was me, wasn’t it! You popped wood for me!”
“Sirius Black! I have never met someone so egotistical and pig-headed!” Lily screeched. She couldn’t take anymore of him, “I most certainly didn’t ‘pop’ wood or whatever for you!”
“Yeah, well if it wasn’t for me, then why won’t you tell me?” He snapped, “Who was it for then? Remus, James…Peter? Why can’t you tell me? No need to be shy, Evanson. I know it was for me. I mean, this just proves no one can resist me.”
“It was for Joey King! Okay?!” She screamed, not noticing the classroom had gone silent and everyone was listening to their fighting match, “Are you happy now? It wasn’t for you! Merlin’s beard! I’ve never met someone so aggravating besides Po-”
She quickly stopped herself from saying Potter. That would have blown her whole cover. She calmed down and sat back down, not noticing the point in the argument in which she stood up. Sirius sat there with shock on his face, staring at something passed Lily. She turned around and followed his gaze and nearly died in embarrassment at the sight of Joey. She had forgotten he was in this class, hell, she had forgotten she was even in a classroom. She couldn’t help the fact her face turned a bright cherry red.
She could hear whispers all around her.
‘He pretty much just announced he has a crush on Joey.’
‘Well duh, Amanda! What else would getting a boner for him mean? He wants to bake cookies with Joey?’
‘I can’t believe he has a crush on Joey King!’
‘I can! Joey King is bloody fit.’
‘I thought he would’ve gone for Black. I mean, its obvious Black has a bit of a poof in him.’
“Take that back, Vance!” Sirius said, turning around. He had heard the whisper in the back of the classroom. Lily smiled mentally, despite the embarrassing situation she was currently in. Emmeline was never very good at whispering.
“Well, I wish I could say I was flattered, Evanson,” Joey said, with a small smirk, “But that would be a lie. I don’t swing that way. Poofs are disgusting, bile, creatures. I would hardly call you a man.”
Some guys in the class cheered, others looked shocked, some looked mad.
Lily was definitely mad. If this was a cartoon, smoke would be pouring out of her ears. Her face turned redder, though in anger. She couldn’t believe she ever like that guy. He was such a jerk! Even if he didn’t like guys, he didn’t have to be so rude! Even though she knew she wasn’t really a guy, for some reason she felt the need to cry. She felt hurt and she felt like the scum of the Earth. She couldn’t even describe what she was feeling, but it was most definitely not good.
Dinner that night was nothing less than awkward. She could feel the stares of people around her, could feel the glares of Joey and his friends, and could feel the pitying glances of her friends. She wanted nothing more than to run up to her room, close the curtains around her bed, and just cry. This experiment was nothing like she had expected it to be. She wanted to be Lily again. She wanted to go back to being a girl, where it was expected for you to be over-emotional, and when you got ‘turned on’ it wouldn’t show.
She wanted to feel the smooth skin, not this dreadful hair. She wanted to be able to put make-up on and wear dresses. She wanted to be able to just sit and cry and not be called a pansy or be judged. She just wanted to be a girl again.
“Hey, Evanson!” Lily heard a voice; she looked up, only to have a fistful of mash potatoes slam against her face. She looked at Joey in disbelief and angry, not to mention hurt. Instead of blowing up and screaming at him like she would usual do, she felt drained. She just grabbed a napkin and began wiping her face off, feeling tears build up in her eyes.
“Don’t pay attention to that jerk, Luke.” Cecilia said, grabbing her hand. Lily held onto her hand feeling comfort, but let go as soon as she saw Remus’s sad glance at their hands. She didn’t want him to think she liked Ceci.
“Yeah, Evanson.” James said, smiling, “Besides, doesn’t he know a thing about karma.”
“Wha…?” She said, confused, only to hear a big boom. She, just like the rest of the people in the Great Hall, almost fell off her chair in surprise. When she looked back up, smoke was coming from the places Joey and his friends had been sitting.
It cleared out and there they were, all dressed in very girly clothes. Joey’s blonde hair had pink stripes in it and across his forehead it said ‘I prefer boys’. He was dressed in nothing but a small, bright blue vest that hardly covered his skin. His pants were now short shorts and were yellow. His friend, Stephen, shirt was now a pink, fish-net, long sleeve shirt. His pants were skin tight and orange. His two other friends were in similar get ups.
Stephen suddenly went blank, his eyes wide and unemotional, then they turned to loving and admirable. He turned to look at Joey. Joey looked shocked and embarrassed. His man parts were sticking straight up, just like Lily’s had been the other day. She laughed at that.
“Joey!” Stephen exclaimed, “Joey, my love! You are my stars! You are my savior! You are my love! You. Are. My. Life! I love you, you dirty little boy!”
He jumped on top of Joey, grabbing him in a hug. Joey looked disgusted and tried to peel himself away from the boy confessing his love for him. Stephen pressed his lips to every part of flesh he could find on the other boy. Joey tried to roughly push him away, but Stephen held onto him for dear life.
“Don’t be like that, Joe Joe!” He screeched, “You seemed to enjoy this last night!”
Everyone erupted into cheers and hollers, laughing uncontrollably. Lily looked at James and Sirius and could see Sirius’s wand pointing at Stephen under the table, and James mouthing the words he was saying. Not only was she flattered they had done this for her, but she was impressed. This was very powerful magic. Only the highly intelligent would be able to pull this off with little mistakes. And they were doing this flawlessly.
“Black! Potter! Lupin! Pettigrew!” Professor McGonagall shouting, storming her way over to the four boys. Sirius slipped his wand back into his pocket, along with James. Stephen fell off Joey in shock. He didn’t understand what he had been doing. The four boys dressed in bright clothes looked at each other with shock and embarrassment. As everyone laughed and teased them, they ran out of the Great Hall.
“You four! Detention!” McGonagall screamed.
“What?” Sirius said, acting confused, “We didn’t do anything!”
“Don’t try and play that game with me, Black!” She snapped.
“But it’s true!” James cried, acting innocent, “It wasn’t us!”
She glared at them.
“I know it was you four.” She snarled.
“But we didn’t do anything.” Remus said, “Where’s your proof it was us?”
Lily could hardly believe Remus was standing up for his group to McGonagall. He usually sat quiet and took any punishment she gave them. Perhaps Remus was finally getting out of his quiet stage.
“I will find out.” She glared at him, “And when I do it will be a weeks worth of detention for all of you!”
She stormed out of the Great Hall, following the other boys who had just ran out. James and Sirius smirked at her back, sharing a high-five under the table.
“You guys did that for me?” Lily asked, her voice clouded with disbelief, “Why?”
“Well, duh, Luke.” James said, “You’re our friend. Friends stick up for friends.”
Lily was impressed with his loyalty. She smiled back at James.
Maybe he wasn’t as bad as she thought he was…
“Hey, Vance.” A voice said, coming up from besides Emmeline. She groaned when she realized who it was. Sirius hopped on the table, sitting in front of her. She looked up at him.
“What do you want, Black?” She sneered.
“Merlin! You don’t have to be so mean.” He said, placing a hand over his heart, “Can’t a friend just come talk to a friend?”
“I hardly call us friends.” She laughed sarcastically.
“Oh, so then what are we? Fuck buddies?” He said with a hopeful tone.
“Not likely, Black.” She said, going back to reading her book.
“Not likey? Does that mean there’s still a chance?” He said, grabbing the book out of her hands.
“No! Now go away.” She said, trying to grab it back. He pulled it away from her.
“Give it back!” She snapped.
“On one condition.” He said, holding it above his head.
“What?” She sighed, calming down.
“Give me a kiss.” He said, patting his lips with a finger.
“Gross, Black. Who know what you caught from Sadie!” She said, talking about his latest ‘girlfriend’.
“Talking about Sadie again?” He laughed, “Do I detect jealousy?”
“Hardly.” She scoffed.
“Just admit it, Vance.” He said, “You want me.”
“In your dreams.” She said, rolling her eyes, finally grabbing the book from his hands.
“How did you know what I dream about?” He said with a smirk.
Emmeline sighed and looked down.
Because I dream the same thing…
Yay! Fourth chapie! So you likey? You hate it? Tell me in a review!
