“What are you doing?”
I whipped around in my seat so quickly, I almost fell out. I shuffled to hide the papers I was drawing on when Sirius came over and plucked them out of my hands.
“…Oh my god…you are such a creeper, buddy,” he said slowly.
I narrowed my eyes. I am not a creeper, thank you very much. “I am not a creeper, thank you very much!” I exclaimed indignantly.
He looked at me and shook his head. “Whatever you say, man. Whatever you say.”
“I’M NOT!” I shouted.
“Then why are you drawing pictures of Lily?” He asked smugly.
“How’d you know it was her?” I asked disbelievingly. Woah…
“It has an arrow pointing at her head that says LILYFLOWER” He said matter-of-factly.
“…Oh…well, I’m still not a creep! It’s not like I’m stalking her!” I pressed.
He looked at me like I was crazy. Pfft. “James…you’re drawing her…sitting in a trolley at the supermarket?” He said questioningly. Then his eyes widened. “OH! This is one of your weird fantasies right? Like the one where you want to go on a broomstick ride with her and sit in the Quidditch hoops?”
My face burned in embarrassment. Oh dear. I didn’t know I told him about that. “No…” I said unconvincingly. See…the thing is…I was never a good liar. Sirius burst out laughing and I sat there staring at him. “…If you’re gonna react like this Padfoot…I’m not gonna tell you next time,” I said sternly.
He wiped the tears out of his eyes and snorted. “Imma go get Peter and Remus!” He announced and he skipped out of the Heads Dorms. Thank God Lily wasn’t here. That would be embarrassing.
20 minutes later, I’m still burning in embarrassment and Sirius is running back into the room with Peter and Remus in tow. They both take one look at my drawings and burst out laughing. I see Sirius already told them about it.
“Why is she a stick person?” Remus howled.
“It’s not my fault!” I protested. “It’s hard to draw people!” Peter laughed even harder. “Stop laughing at me! It’s not funny! It is hard! Their shoulders always look funny and their heads get too big for their bodies so it’s easier to draw stick people!” I whined.
They’re not even listening to me. Geez, what kind of friends do I have?
At that exact moment, Lily walked into the Heads Dorms to see a flustered me, and three boys in hysterics. She sighed and walked over. “What now?” She asked tiredly.
“…Nothing,” I said, shooting the guys looks so they’d be quiet.
They sobered up and smirked. Lily looked at them and asked me what was up again.
“Nothing!” I exclaimed.
“…don’t test me James. Just tell me what’s so funny. It’s obviously about me,” She said tiredly. Holy…how does she always know when we’re talking about her?
“It’s nothing Lily. Just a fantasy of James’,” Peter snorted.
Lily realized quickly. Her face went bright red and she turned and walked into her dorm. I threw a quill at Peter. Oh my God…I’m never telling them anything again
A/N: So? Let me know what you think! I wrote this in like 20 minutes. No joke. I really wanted to get one in before the queue closes, so here you go! I'm not really feelin' it but whatever
