“SWEET! PARTY IN THE GRYFFINDOR TOWER!” I exclaimed.
Me, Sirius, Remus and Peter were eating breakfast when Sirius told me. I always get left out of planning parties now. Ever since I became Head Boy. I hate this. Dumbledore sooooooooo did it on purpose.
“It’s gonna be sick,” Sirius boasted.
“YEAH!” Peter said. Oh Peter…always trying to make us like him more. Even Sirius was too excited to say something mean to him.
Remus just shook his head and kept eating. Ever the goody-goody. Oh man…I’m excited to tell Lily about the party. Normally she hates them, but she’s gotta love this one! Even Sirius said it’s gonna be sick! And everyone knows…when Sirius says a party’s gonna be sick…it’s gonna be sick. It’s like common sense.
I just told Lily about the party. She said that no matter what Sirius says, the party is not gonna be sick. It’s gonna suck. Cause every party is a good party for Sirius. He is a party animal. You know what…she’s right now that I think of it. Sirius does like every party. Even the lame ones that my parents throw for the Ministry.
“But we could still go and then leave after!” I said. I don’t want to go to the party if Lily’s not gonna go. What’s the point? She’ll get mad at me for ‘deserting’ her.
“But I really want to catch up on my studying for the NEWTS,” She said.
“Are you saying…that we skip a party…to STUDY?!” I asked. Oh hell no. No way. That’s like saying that you want to skip a date with a good looking person to go have a sleepover with Snape. Please!
“Please study with me James?” Lily asked, with a sparkling smile on her face. I sighed in agreement. Seriously…F my life.
So...here I am...running up to the Heads Dorms so she won't get mad at me for delaying her studying.
I burst into the room to see it empty. Phew! I got her before her. Yesssssssss! At that exact moment, she walked out of her room and smiled at me.
“Hi!” She exclaimed.
“Hey…I got…here in time…to…study…” I puffed. She looked at me oddly.
“Do you need an oxygen tank?” She asked, raising an eyebrow. Oh very funny..
“Pfft, no. I’m fine,” I said. She looked away and I started gulping in air as fast as I could. Oh dear God…my lungs are on fire. She looked over at me again and I quickly stopped.
“Do you want some water?” She asked, concern evident in her voice.
“Nope,” I said calmly. Okay…I think I’m fine now.
“…Okay…I’m gonna go get my books…” She said. I nodded and sat down on the couch and opened up my Potions textbook and started reading it.
She walked out of her room wearing a silk robe thing and holding two glasses full of some Muggle champagne thing. What on earth is she doing?
“Why’d you get champagne if we’re studying?” I asked. Like seriously. Who needs champagne to study?
She looked at me exasperatedly and rolled her eyes. Fine then…don’t answer me. I turned back to my book. I heard her walk over next to me and sit down. She put the glasses on the table and stared at me until I looked up.
I looked up at her and she had an odd look on her face. “What?” I asked stupidly.
“I don’t really want to study anymore…” She said, biting her lip.
I squinted my eyes at her. “…then why…did you make me skip the party?” I asked suspiciously.
“I want to do something else…” She said, trailing off. She started playing with the collar on my shirt. What in Merlin’s name is she doing?! Oh my gosh…did somebody put a weird potion in her food?!
“OMG LILY! DID SOMEONE PUT A POTION IN YOUR FOOD? IT’S OKAY! WE CAN GO TO POMFREY! YOU’LL BE OKAY!” I exclaimed.
She shut her eyes and shook her head. “How much more obvious can I make it for you, James?” She asked me tiredly.
“Umm..what?” I asked, voicing my thoughts.
She shook her head and leaned forward and kissed me.
