Author's Note: Hey everyone! Like my disclaimer ^^? I thought it was pretty hilarious. So, the very last chapter of "Hogwarts, Here We Come!"! LE GASP! It's horrible! I think I just might die. I'm just kidding because the sequel is coming out very soon. It's called "Chaos in the Order" and thanks to lupinsmoonlitsweetheart for the lurvely name, I owe a lot to them, as they came up with the name for the sequel, but are also a very loyal reviewer, and I love reviews! In the preview of Chaos down below, each little thing is a different preview. Just to let you know. Anyways, read on my fellow literature fans and enjoy!
Why did I just stand there and let it happen? I could have stopped it! Now what was I supposed to do? Now Voldemort was back and ready to kill. People were going to lose their lives, and it would be my entire fault.
And him! He was a Death Eater! It makes me wonder why my parents never told me about my magical heritage so we could've avoided this whole situation. He ruined a huge part of my life! He scarred my life as well as my whole family's life forever. And he was a Death Eater. And my parents erased my memory so that I would forget everything that happened that night.
And to top it all off, I have some bloody mark on the back of my neck! And what the hell did it mean? And how did Voldemort know my great grandmother? He can't be that old!
I was ripped from my trail of thought when I was tackled roughly to the ground. I look up and saw a pair of eyes that were the most amazing shade of green that I had ever seen.
"Hi," He responded, now sitting on my stomach, much like how he had done during our snowball fight. I found that it was surprisingly comfortable.
"What is with us tackling each other and other people to get their attention?" I asked and he just shrugged, grinning impishly at me. "You know, I was sore enough before you tackled me to the ground."
"Oh well," Harry said offhandedly. Well, it's nice to know he cares about the welfare of his girlfriend...not! "So what are you doing out here all by yourself? It's called the 'Forbidden Forest' for a reason."
"I'm not really scared. Nothing in here can hurt me," I said. "But I was just thinking."
"Stuff," I answered vaguely.
"Well, I need to ask you something. It's been bugging me for a while now," Harry said and I nodded, signaling for him to continue with his question. "In the graveyard, when they were checking you for a mark or something, one of the Death Eaters was talking to you. I could tell they were really angering you and that you were talking back, but I couldn't understand what either of you were saying."
"Oh. That," I said, reflecting on it for a few seconds before responding with, "It's nothing." I really didn't want to have to think about any of that again, even though it kept popping up without my permission. Oo-er.
"By the look in your eyes, it's obviously not nothing," He said, gently touching my face. He was the only person who could read me like a book, and sometimes it could get very annoying. "Tell me what happened."
"Can we at least stand up?" I asked quietly.
"Yeah," He said, standing up before helping me up as well. "So what happened?"
"Well," I started slowly and quietly, pacing a little even though my knee was quite sore. I had problems staying still for too long. "You remember how I told you about the drunk driving accident, right?"
"Yeah," He nodded, looking like he was thinking about it.
"Well, he was the one to do it. Michael McDonald. And he said it wasn't an accident, which it wasn't. I got my memory back once he said his name and I saw his face, and he tried to kidnap me," I said, trying to keep calm because at this point, I was really close to breaking down.
"Oh..." Harry said thoughtfully. "That makes a lot of sense now. Is that why you just left when he was mentioned when we were with Sirius?"
I nodded. And I just couldn't hold it in any longer. I started bawling right then and there. "Harry, everything's my fault. I could've stopped him. I could've stopped him from coming back!" I cried out. Harry came over to where I was standing and wrapped his arms around me in a tight hug. I leant my head against his chest and began to cry even more, as he continued to whisper that it wasn't my fault.
"Professor Dumbledore? You wanted to see me?" I asked as I walked into his office.
"Ah yes, I'm glad you could come," Dumbledore said. "Would you like a lemon drop?"
"Sure," I said before taking one out of the crystal candy dish and popping it into my mouth, enjoying the citrus flavor that was exploding inside my mouth.
"So I've called you here for a specific reason. As you are probably aware of, we are starting the Order of the Phoenix back up," Dumbledore said and I nodded. "We would like you to join us."
"But I'm only fourteen!" I told him.
"You are much more powerful than you or anyone else could imagine, and I believe in you completely. You were meant for great things," Dumbledore told me. "We'll need you to attend meetings all throughout the summer at 12 Grimmauld Place, if you agree to join."
I had to think about this. It was a huge commitment. Did I want to be a part of, and maybe even risk my life for the organization to help destroy Voldemort? That was an easy question with an even easier answer.
"Okay, I'm in," I said firmly, feeling in my heart that this was the right thing to do.
"Excellent!" He exclaimed, clapping his hands together happily, a bright sparkle in his light blue eyes. "I have asked two other students that you know as well, and they have also agreed to join. The first meeting with be in a week."
I nodded and got up to leave when I thought of some more questions. "Professor Dumbledore?"
"I just have a few questions."
"Well," I said, closing the door behind me as I stepped back into the room. "Why did my parents erase my memory of what happened? And why does Voldemort want me? And what is this mark he was talking about?"
"Ah, I was wondering when you would ask these questions," Dumbledore said, standing up and pacing for a few seconds before stopping and turning to me. "I believe your parents were trying to protect you. And as for Lord Voldemort wanting you, I cannot say, as I cannot say why your parents were so keen to protect you that they'd erase your memory, but I do believe they had your best interests at heart. But I think you will find out these answers very soon because being who you are, you won't leave any questions you have answered until you get answers to those. You are the kind of person, I believe, who will go to whatever measures it takes to get what you want. As for your mark, I can honestly say that I don't know what it means, but I will look into that for you and alert you as soon as I find out."
"Thank you Professor," I said, nodding my head respectively before exiting the room.
Harry, Hermione, Ron and I were on the Hogwarts Express and were trying to find a compartment for us all to sit in. I had wanted Emilie and Lindsay to come and sit with us, but Lindsay was off with the twins and Lee planning some prank and Emilie was still mourning with some of Cedric's close friends that she got to know well.
Hermione finally found an empty compartment and we all walked in, spreading across the seats. I sat down by the window with Harry on my other side, and across from Hermione, and I just looked out the window, watching all the scenery passing by. Ron and Hermione were currently being filled in on what had happened at the graveyard by Harry. I think Harry was starting to feel somewhat better, and much more open about it.
"Emily?" A voice called into the compartment and I looked over to see Emilie, her face pink and her eyes swollen from crying. I signaled to the others that I'd be back in a few minutes.
"Emilie," I said soothingly, giving her a hug.
"I can't do this anymore, I want him back," She said.
"Emilie, you knew he was going to die. That was one of the risks you took when you agreed to start dating him," I told her and she nodded.
"I know, but I never expected it to hurt this much. I never knew I could love someone so much that it hurt," She said before crying again. We talked for a little while longer before she went off again, a bit calmer. I walked back and sat down, looking at the scenery before I felt a hand squeeze my own. I looked over and smiled at Harry as he pulled me closer towards him. I just leaned my head against his shoulder and closed my eyes, not wanting to have to deal with reality right now.
"Emily?" A soft and silky voice whispered in my ear, startling me so much that I woke up, jumping slightly before a pair of reassuring arms wrapped around me.
"Mhmm?" I asked sleepily, just realizing that I had fallen asleep.
"We're almost at the station," Harry whispered and I jumped up, suddenly wide awake.
"Oh gosh, I didn't even realize that I had fallen asleep for that long!" I exclaimed before bursting out in laughter. Just pure laughing without any reason behind it. And I guess it was contagious because within seconds our compartment was roaring with laughter. It felt good, especially after all that had happened. I felt like I was never going to laugh again, and here I was, laughing so hard that my stomach was in pure agony.
The train pulled up to the station and we all grabbed our luggage, still laughing slightly as we started to walk out, Harry told onto my hand tightly as we began to walk off the train.
"Hey, wait. Are you wearing my sweater?" Harry asked suddenly and I sheepishly looked down at my outfit. I was wearing a pair of short denim shorts, a white tank top, a bunch of varying length necklaces and of course, Harry's zip up hoodie. I had his hood pulled up over my hair and the zipper undone. His sweater was actually so big on me that it reached my knees.
"Yeah," I smiled shyly. "I like it. And it smells like you."
"Keep it over the summer. You look better in it anyways," He said and I smiled as he snuck a quick kiss on the lips, much to my delight. We all walked onto the platform and I walked over to where my parents were standing with my sisters.
"How is my little girl?" My dad asked, giving me a hug.
"I'm getting better," I answered, smiling half-heartedly as I pulled away from my dad and gave my mom a hug.
"Where's Hannah?" My mother asked and I just shrugged in response.
"Haven't seen her for a few days, not that I think of it," I said before going back to Harry and bringing him over. "Harry, this is Kelsey my older sister, and you've already met Allie."
"Nice to meet you," Harry said awkwardly as my older sister looked at him oddly. Soon after, the whole Weasley clan was over talking to us so it was like a big meeting of people, whatever that's called.
"Well, we better be off," Mrs. Weasley said. "Lindsay, we'll see you in a few weeks."
"Yup, I look forward to it," Lindsay said, suddenly popping out of nowhere.
"Bye Ron, Ginny," I said, giving both of them hugs. Ron was quite stiff when I gave him one - he obviously didn't expect it. "Don't forget to call or write or whatever you feel like doing."
"Bye Ron," Lindsay said, giving him a hug as well. Was that a spark I saw?
"Lindsay," I whispered. "Distract my mom and dad for a little bit, okay?"
"Sure thing," She said, walking over to where my parents were.
"Hermione!" I called after the bushy-haired girl, making her stop dead in her tracks and turn around. "Here's my cell phone number. Call me during the summer and we'll hang out."
"Sure," Hermione said, giving me a hug before going through the barrier, probably to meet up with her own parents.
"So it's just you and me," I said as Harry wrapped his arms around me in a hug.
"I'm really going to miss you," I said, wrapping my arms around his neck.
"Mmm...yeah," He said, holding onto my waist and bringing me closer to him.
"Wait...you have a phone at your aunt and uncle's, right?" I asked suddenly.
"Yeah, why?" Harry asked.
"Here's my cell phone number," I said, handing him a small piece of paper with ten numbers written on it. "You can reach me at this number. It's my cell phone so it's on all the time. Even if you want to call me in the middle of the night, you can."
"I'll make sure you do that," He said, grinning impishly.
"Here, put the Dursley's phone number in here," I said, handing him my phone. He dialed a number in and I went beside him to take a picture for it. "There, now I'll always know when you're calling."
"Aren't you going to give it a ringtone?" He asked curiously. I can't even believe he remembered that my phone could do that after ten months. He was so cute!
"Sure," I said. "Which one do you want?"
He took my phone and scrolled through the ringtones and songs, looking for one before apparently finding just the right one. "There," He said, sliding the phone closed. "Now don't look. Wait until I call you."
"Fine," I said as he slipped it into my back pocket, making me laugh.
"Well, I guess I should be going. The Muggles will be waiting for me," He said, holding onto me tightly and I pouted. "Don't do that. I don't want to leave you."
"Promise to write and phone everyday?" I asked.
"Everyday," He guaranteed, laughing slightly which made me smile into his shoulder.
"I'm going to miss you so much," I said. He leant down some more and gave me a short but passionate kiss on the lips. "Bye."
"Not goodbye. Never goodbye - especially now. It's always 'see you later'," I corrected him.
"And why is that?" Harry asked, his hands resting on my hips.
"Because when you say goodbye, it should only be for a short amount of time, like a day, or when you're saying goodbye once and for all. See you later is what you say to anyone you count on seeing again," I explained and he nodded.
"Well then, see you later," He said, laughing slightly as he started to walk away. I watched him for about a minute before running over and giving him one last hug.
"I love you so much," I told him.
"I love you too, more than anything in the universe," He said, cupping my face in his hands and kissing my lips gently.
"Stay safe," I told him before walking away, my fingers automatically touching my tingling lips when I turned around. I let out a deep sigh before Apparating away with my family. I could already tell that a new adventure was just starting, for all of us.
A Preview of "Chaos in the Order"
"YES YOU WILL YOU FILTHY LITTLE HALF-BREED!" She screamed at me.
"Well, we heard about what happened to your little sister," She said. "It's just amazing how they found out where she was."
"Well, I really don't know how to say this, but I don't want you to be friends with Chad anymore," He said and I gaped at him, my mouth opening and closing, resembling that of a fish.
"This is...oh God...my eyes...my little sister...dear God," Brad spluttered, looking away.
"I hate you!" She screamed, tears flowing freely down her pink cheeks. "Let. Me. Go."
Dilys came back into their portrait, panting as well. "Dumbledore, she's in St. Mungo's...saw them taking her in...looked horrible, and she's losing blood fast."
"HEY! IF ANY OF YOU ARE NAKED I SUGGEST YOU COVER YOURSELVES!" I shouted before entering the room to find Fred, George and Lee on one of their beds, obviously planning something. "Hey! Thing One and Thing Two, come here for a minute."
"No, thank you. It was a pleasure meeting and I hope to see you in the near future, Your Majesty."
