I was starting to get closer to nine months pregnant now, my emotions were more unstable now than ever. I had argued with Sirius six times in two days, a record even for the beginning of our crazy relationship. I was due in two days it was just two days before the new year as well, Sirius and I had moved out of the Potter house when I turned eight months, it was like a Christmas present from them Sirius had also been working hard training for pro. Quiddich. He was new player on the Cannons he wasn’t complaining that they sucked he might be able to improve them too.
James had proposed to Lily Christmas morning, she practically broke my ear drum telling me. It was sweet and romantic they were getting married in February, that only gave them a month to plan the wedding. But they assured me that it wasn’t going to a large wedding, we were in dark times, Voldemort was picking up his pace with the killings. I was worried every time Sirius left the house. I worried that he wouldn’t come home, I worried for my safety. I usually kept my self busy with cleaning and cooking but if the house was clean I’d loose myself in a book but that worry was kicking me in the back of my head all the while little Alex was kicking my bladder. I was in the bathroom every half hour peeing. It was starting to get on my nerves.
“Honey I’m home,” Sirius called out, I was in the kitchen. He stopped in the door way watching me, I could feel his eyes boring into the back of my head.
“Hello, Sirius,” I said flatly.
“What’s wrong?”
“Alex is killing my bladder slowly and painfully!” I said.
“And your sure you want to have more.”
“Yeah.”
“Okay,” Sirius said.
“Stir this and I’ll be right back.” I said pointing to the pot of chili I was stiring. I didn’t make it to the bathroom, my water broke and I was in intense pain. “Sirius, Turn the Chili off!” I called.
“What?” he was confused I hobbled my way back to the kitchen.
“My water broke!”
“What?” he was now getting on my nerves we’d been talking about this since we came up with the name. I gave him the dirtiest look I could muster up.
“We’re launching sputnik!” I tried to clarify. He still not getting it, “the bun is done,” I tried. My husband is a dumass. “I’M HAVING THE BABY NOW ASSRAT!” I said angrily. Realization hit him like a ton of bricks or pretty soon, if he didn’t pick up speed, my fist and his jaw!
“Oh… OH!” he mumbled something and turned the chilli off. We made it to St. Mungos I was laboring my breaths the way they taught us in those stupid classes, Sirius was holding my hand while we waited for the doctor.
“GOD SIRIUS IF I MAKE IT OUT OF HERE ALIVE YOU OWE ME BIG TIME!” I yelled at him while the pain got worse, I squeezed his hand, if I was hurting him he didn’t show it. his other hand was stroking my hair lovingly. He was telling me to breath and relax. But as another contraction hit me I felt as though I were going to burst into two. I was crying and sceaming the medi-witch was doing her best to get me and epidural. But it was too late I was nine centimeters dialted.
“Okay Mrs. Black you need to push!” I pushed, “Again,” She kept saying it I was running out of hair I felt like hell.
“Come on, love push,” Sirius coaxed. If I didn’t love him as much as I do I’d kick his ass! “I can see her head.” he said as he looked between my legs.
“Her,” I asked growling.
“That face is far to feminine to be a boy, love push!” Sirius said. I pushed once more then the room filled with crying dainty girly baby crying.
“congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Black you are now proud parents of a baby girl!” The Medi-Witch smiled. “Mr. Black would you like to cut the chord?” Sirius let go of my hand so he could cut the umbilical chord. I fell back and they cleaned up my baby girl, and brought her to me putting her in my arms I looked down at her she really did look like and Alex, she was so beautiful, she had Sirius’ face shape and I could tell she was going to have his hair as well.
“Alexandra Rosalie Black,” I said.
“Rosalie?” Sirius asked.
“Yeah, that’s my great grandmothers name!” I said.
“I like it, it’s…”
“It’s okay to say pretty!” I told him. The medi-witch said I should get some rest and Sirius was going to fill out the birth citificate and stuff. I was exhausted I fell in love with Alex before seeing her and when I saw her I was never more in love with a human being not even Sirius.
I woke up hours later “Sleep well?” Sirius asked.
“Yeah, nothing was kicking my bladder to death!” I said. “Where is she?”
“She’s right here,” Sirius said, I saw him holding her. “I didn’t think I’d love her as much as I do, it’s amazing. We created her!”
“Sirius, what ever I said to you I didn’t mean it.” I was only vaguely aware that I had called him and assrat, and that I told him he owed me big time.
“I know, I love you.” Sirius said, smiling.
“I love you too,” I said happily. “Can I hold her!” it was more of a demand than a question. Sirius placed her into my arms and I could see her tiny fists and her little nose and mouth I couldn’t wait for her eyes to open, there were only a few possibilities, brown, blue, or gray. Sirius kissed my forehead.
“Mrs. Potter and Lily are here, they want to see you,” Sirius said.
“And what about James?” I asked.
“He’s at work,” Sirius said. “He said he can’t wait to see you though.”
“Well send Mrs. Potter and Lily in.” I told him, he went to go get them.
“Charlee!” Lily ran to my side. “Oh my god!”
“Charlee darling how are you doing?” Mrs. Potter asked. “You look really good for just giving birth.”
“Thanks,” I said.
“She is so pretty,” Lily said indicating Alex, “you named her Alexandra Rosalie right?”
“Yeah, Rosalie was my great grandmothers name,” I told them.
“It is such a pretty names, it suits her.” Mrs. Potter said.
Sirius came back in the room carrying a glass of water. “We should take a picture of the happy family!” Lily suggested grabbing a camera out of her bag. She held the camera up and Sirius stood over Alex and I and she snapped the picture. “I’ll develop them tonight so you can put it up in your sitting room!”
(Siriusly awesome I hope you had a good holiday, I was happy to see you've read and reveiwed the chapters I posted while you were gone. so yeah I think I'm getting to the end but no worries I will be writing a sequal About Alex this time. I don't know if you noticed but I finished Life in the Summers Clan and I posted)
