Disclaimer: Harry Potter belongs to the most wonderful and amazing JK Rowling. Where would we be without her? Certainly not on this website :P
The front door burst open, and Ron and Hermione looked up.
“She said yes!” Harry told them, a hug smile on his face. Hermione stood up, and gave him a hug.
“That’s brilliant! That’s so great!” she said.
“Congratulations, mate,” Ron said, clapping Harry on the back. Hermione stood back, and looked at her two best friends.
“This isn’t fair! Ron’s getting married next week, Harry’s engaged, and I’m on my own. You guys are going to leave me here,” she said, still smiling. Harry and Ron laughed.
“We don’t mean to. You could move in with one of us,” Harry said. Hermione shook her head.
“I think I should find my own way in the world,” she said, “anyway, enough about me! What happened?” Hermione and Ron looked at Harry, and the three of them sat down.
“We were having a picnic, and after eating, I asked her if she wanted to go for a walk. She shrunk the picnic basket, and the ring was in that. I enlarged it back to it’s normal size, and she looked at me strangely. I opened the basket and looked through, and pulled out the ring to make sure it was the right size. She asked me if it was what she thought it was, and I nodded, and she screamed that of course she would marry me, and then I put the ring on her finger,” he said, looking at Hermione, “No, it’s not the most romantic of proposals, but Ginny doesn’t seem to mind.” His two best friends laughed.
“Of course she didn’t mind. She’s been waiting for a proposal for months. She was getting worried that you didn’t want to marry her!” Hermione said, laughing. Harry frowned at her.
“Why didn’t you tell me that before?” he asked. Hermione shrugged.
“I guess it slipped my mind,” she said, standing up and leaving the room. The two boys looked at each other, and shrugged.
“I’ll never understand girls,” Ron said.
“Really? You understand Luna well enough,” Harry pointed out, laughing, “well enough that you’re getting married to her next week. Poor girl.” Ron got one of Fred and George’s fake wands out of his pocket, and the boys stared a pretend duel. After awhile they heard a giggle from the doorway.
“Now, it’s a pity you’re leaving, Ron, I’ll really miss the 24 hour entertainment from the two of you,” Hermione laughed. The boys looked at each other, than attacked her with cushions from the couch.

The next morning, Hermione sat in the kitchen, eating breakfast. Slowly, both boys dragged in, and slammed their bodies down on the seats. They took some of the cold toast Hermione had left on the table.
“I’m moving out,” Hermione told them. Both boys looked up sharply.
“What? Why?” Harry asked. Hermione shrugged.
“You guys are leaving anyway. I may as well get used to living somewhere else. Anyway, last night, I looked at places to stay, and as it turns out, Fred and George are looking for a flatmate. I sent them an owl, and they sent one back straight away saying that I can move in right away. Apparently they didn’t even look at the other applicants, which is rather biased, but I don’t mind this time,” Hermione said quickly. Ron nodded, but Harry looked hurt.
“You’re trading us in for Fred and George?” he asked. Hermione shook her head.
“No. You guys will always be my best friends. But this way, I’ll still get my 24 hour entertainment. Anyway, I’m going to start moving my stuff today, but I’ll move in properly in a week, pay this week’s rent, and leave,” Hermione said.
“At least you’ll be with Weasley’s,” Ron said brightly. Hermione bit her lip to stop her from laughing.
“I suppose it would be good. I’ll just live on my own for awhile,” Harry said, “It might be nice.”
“Or Ginny can move in,” Hermione said slyly. Ron cracked up laughing, and Harry shook his head solemnly.
“As much as I’d love that, Molly would forbid it,” he said, “I don’t think she realises Ginny’s 21 and can look after herself.”
“She doesn’t realise Bill can look after himself,” Ron pointed out, his mouth full of food. Hermione looked at him disgustedly, and then nodded.
“That’s true. She can just Apparate over every night,” Hermione said. Ron glared at her.
“Thanks, Hermione. Because, you know, I wasn’t eating,” he said. Hermione grinned at him, and then sighed.
“I’ll miss this,” she said. They both knew what she was talking about. And they agreed. All three would miss living together, laughing, having fun, being friends. They were growing up. And that was scary.
AN~ This is short. I know. I've been playing around with a Hermione/George fic for awhile now, and then I asked for help on how to actually start it, so this is how. Thanks to the people on the forums who helped me! I don't remember your names, sorry, but thank you!
Anyway, the next chapter should be more interesting and longer, this is just an introduction to the story, what's happening, etc.
Thanks for reading! Constructive criticism is greatly appreciated and belongs in a little box down there. See it? Good. Please type something, and then click preview, and then submit. Thank you!
