Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter *la di da*

Over the next week, Hermione was a lot happier. This completely confused me. She said she hadn't been perfectly happy with Ron for awhile, but still. There had to be more than that.

I told Ginny afterwards that she had interrupted us. She apologised, and suggested talking to her again.

"I don't think so, Ginny. She's already started telling me twice. I don't think she'll do it again," I replied. Ginny shrugged, accepting my decision. I didn't tell her what Hermione had told me, though she kept on bugging me for it. I didn't know if Hermione wanted her to know.

The second Saturday after Ron saw Hermione and me hugging, it was the second Quidditch match of the season. We were playing Ravenclaw. Ron had seemed to decide that he'd at least be civil towards me. I was glad that we could move past it, if only for Quidditch.

Before we went out to the Quidditch pitch, I gave my team a pep talk.

"Okay, we can win this! I know we can! We have the best team in the school! Last time, well, that was McLaggen, distracting you all! But this time, we will win! Comeon!" I called, and I lead them out to the pitch. I shook hands with the Ravenclaw captain, and then we were off.

We were doing really well. We had gotten seven goals, and Ron had blcoked all the goals from Ravenclaw, until a bludger got sent towards Ginny. One of the Beaters whacked it away, but the distraction got Ravenclaw a goal. It didn't matter, we were up sixty points!

I watched out for the Snitch, looking everywhere, until I saw it. I raced towards it, and the Ravenclaw Seeker followed me, catching up to me. I flew quicker, and caught the Snitch. The team landed, as we heard screams and yells from where the Gryffindors were. A whole lot of people coming towards the team as they screamed as well.

"We did it! 220-10! We won! Well done, guys!" I yelled over the noise, though it seemed to be only Demelza who heard me and smiled. I looked around, notcing Hermoine coming towards us. She slipped over next to Ron, and whispered something to him. He nodded, and they walked off. I looked around, and, knowing no one would miss me, followed them.

*~*

I heard them say something about the lake. I quickly went up to my dormitory to get my invisibility cloak, and ran after them, not wanting to miss much. I knew I shouldn't be spying on them, but if they were going to get back together, I didn't want to wait another two years to find out about it.

I saw them sitting by the lake, and I went towards them. I didn't go too close, but I went just close enough to hear.

"It's beautiful," Hermione said, gazing out at the lake. Ron shrugged, and looked at her.

"So, what did you want to talk about?" he asked. Hermione sighed, tore her eyes away from the lake, and looked at Ron.

"Look, Ron, I know what you think you saw, but it was nothing. Harry is my friend, and I was hugging him because we heard of the new law in place for next year. I was worried about the war. I'm so worried about him. What if he dies?" she asked, choking on tears. Ron moved closer to her and put his arm around her.

"Hermione, this is Harry we're talking about. He won't die. How many times has he fought against Voldemort and come out alive?" Ron asked. Hermione shook her head.

"He's been lucky, he said so himself. What if next time he isn't lucky? Voldemort wants him dead as much as he wants Voldemort dead. Next time it will be a fight to the death, and it could be Harry's," Hermione said.

"I have complete fatih that Harry will be able to defeat Voldemort. Admittedly, I'm worried about whether he'll die along with him, but I'm sure that Voldemort will be defeated," Ron said, kissing the top of Hermione's head. I watched him with fury. I wanted nothing more than to attack him for kissing her. I had no idea what was wrong.

"Ron? So you believe me? Harry and I aren't secretly seeing each other or anything," Hermione said, looking up. Ron nodded.

"I know. I'm sorry. I just got really jealous, I suppose, I love you," he said. Hermione smiled, not replying, and Ron leant in towards her. I stood up, knowing what was coming and not wanting to see it. Even thinking about it made my head burst with rage. I walked up to Gryffindor tower, wondering what was wrong.

Then I realised. Ginny had been right all along. I was in love with Hermione.

*~*

"You're kidding, right?" Ginny burst out. I shook my head, and she cracked up laughing. She was leaning against Neville on the couch opposite the one I was lying on. Luna was sitting on a chair next to them.

We were in the Room of Requirement, which had turned to a mini-Common Room at the moment.

"You only just realised you're in love with Hermione? So much for loving her like a sister!" Ginny cried out in between fits of laughter. I frowned. Ginny suddenly stopped laughing and looked at me with mock horror.

"You love me like a sister!" she said, and then started laughing again. I rolled my eyes, and Neville tried to stop himself from laughing.

"Don't be ridiculous, Ginny," I snapped.

"You're house will be waiting for you guys, they'll be having a celebration," Luna said. Ginny sighed, then stood up.

"You coming Harry?" she asked, taking Neville's hand. I shook my head.

"Luna? A word?" I asked. Luna nodded, and Neville and Ginny left. I looked over at Luna.

"How do you handle the jealousy, I mean, I just told Ron a week ago that it isn't anything like that, I can't realy go all jealous now," I said. Luna smiled.

"It's not that hard. But anyway, it doesn't matter, now you've realised you love her, you can make her happy, and you don't have to be jealous," she said. I looked at her, aghast.

"You want to break them up?" I asked, not completely sure I had heard her correctly, "There's no way I'm doing that, they only just got back together, I'm not doing that to Ron!"

"What about Hermione?" Luna asked. I shook my head, walking towards the door.

"I'm not breaking them up. I can wallow in self-pity all I like, but I'm not making life difficult for them!" I said, and I left the room. I had no idea what was wrong with Luna. How could she possibly think that trying to break them up was a good idea?

AN~ Okay, so this is the seventh chapter of Truth, the one you've all been waiting for...at least, the one I've been waiting to write! This one and the next one are my favourite chapters I've written so far, not necessarily because they're written well, but because of what they contain.
So...Harry loves Hermione...well, we've known that all along, but now HE'S realised! What's going ot happen with them? Will Hermione stay happy now she's back with Ron, and what will happen in the Final Battle?
Thanks for readinf, pretty pretty please review!
