Author's Note: Hey everybody! So this is Chapter 8 and I'm warning you now, this chapter has attempted rape, so if you get really uncomfortable by that, do not read. Anyways, I'll keep this short, so hope you like this and don't forget to leave a review!
I was sitting in History of Magic, next to Lily and Marlene, absentmindedly looking out the window at the rain falling from the sky.
A note floated onto my desk and I looked around the room to see who it was from. No one seemed to be looking at me, so I unfolded the small piece of parchment.
Meet me in the Entrance Hall at eight.
I looked over at Andrew, who looked back and winked. I nodded which made him smile before turning back to face the front of the class. Maybe this would be the night we had our first kiss. I wondered if it would be anything like the one I had with Remus. Remus...he had really pretty eyes. He was really cute too. WAIT! I can't think these things! I have a boyfriend! Well, I guess as long as no one knows I'm thinking these things...right?
I was waiting in the Entrance Hall for Andrew. He still hadn't come yet. And I was getting really bored!
"Sorry I'm late, almost got caught," He said as he came over and wrapped his arms around my waist, mine sneaking their way around his neck.
"It's okay, I forgive you," I said, smirking slightly.
"Oh you do, do you?" He asked, placing a light kiss on my forehead.
"Yup," I said as I looked up into those beautiful blue eyes of his and there was a moment of silence before our lips met.
I wonder if I finished all my homework...dang, I think I forgot to finish my Transfiguration essay. That's not good. I think that's due in a few days...oh well, I can finish it tomorrow or something. Wait, why was I thinking about my Transfiguration essay when I was kissing Andrew? It was our first kiss, shouldn't I be enjoying it? Well, I wasn't. There was no spark. Not even a little one. Yet, Andrew didn't feel the same way because he was still kissing me. To be honesty, I just wanted this to end.
He moved his hands up and down the small of my back before he started putting his hands up my shirt. Ohmigod, he was trying to unhook my bra!
I started to push him off, but he was stronger than he looks. He just didn't want to stop kissing, so I pulled my lips away instead, and his hands out of my shirt.
"Come on, you know you want it," He said in what he must've thought was a seductive voice. He was actually starting to annoy me.
"No I don't," I said firmly, but he kept trying to kiss me anyways. "Get off me! Andrew, it's over! I don't want to be your girlfriend anymore!"
"Come on baby, you don't mean that," He said, kissing my neck.
"Yes, I do mean that and don't call me that," I said as strongly as I could, although it wasn't working. I really wanted him to stop and just get off. "Please get off."
"No," He growled, pushing me up against the wall very roughly. He used his wand to pin my arms and legs to the wall as he began kissing me and undoing the buttons of my top. He ripped off my shirt and was trying to unhook my bra. I felt tears threatening to fall from my eyes. I didn't want this to be happening! I didn't do anything to him! I just didn't like him anymore!
"Hey King! You might want to stop what you're doing before someone gets hurt, mainly you," A voice said, making me look up through my blurry eyes.
The blurry figures of Sirius, James and Remus were all standing there, looking very intimidating. Remus flicked his wand and my arms and legs were released from their hold on the wall.
I ran over and he automatically wrapped his arms around me, protecting me. We hadn't talked since our kiss, but when I needed him the most; he put it all aside for me.
I cried into Remus' chest (I wasn't that tall), and he just held onto my protectively.
"Elle, put this on," Remus said quietly, taking off his jacket and putting on me. "Now Elle, I need to help James and Sirius deal with this jerk."
"No Remus, please don't leave me," I whispered, gripping his hand tightly, not wanting to let him go. I didn't want him to leave me. Andrew would come back and try to hurt me.
"Ellie," He said, kneeling down slightly so he was at my height. He did up the buttons to the jacket her had put on me before speaking again. "You know I'd never let anything happen to you, right?" I nodded in response, tears still falling. "Then trust me when I say, you'll be fine. I won't let anything happen to you. Ever."
I nodded as he ran off, and heard him joining in on the shouting of spells before there was a loud thud. All three of them came running over to me after the loud noise, Remus ahead of them all.
"POTTER!!" Lily shrieked from the top of the stairs, storming down. "How could you? You're Head Boy! And you just attacked a fellow student! I thought you had changed!"
"He deserved it!" James yelled back at her, not caring that he was yelling at the girl of his dreams.
"And why on earth would a fellow student deserve that?" Lily demanded.
"What is the meaning of this?" Professor McGonagall demanded. "You are waking up the whole castle! And w-what is the means of this?! All of you to my office! Right now!"
Remus put his arm around me, giving me the support I needed as we all walked up to McGonagall's office in silence, the boys staying close around me.
"Elle, here's your shirt back," James said as we walked into McGonagall's office. I didn't want to touch it. It disgusted me.
"Burn it," I told him quietly, and he nodded taking it back, making me realize I was only in my bra and Remus' jacket. Well, this would definitely be an interesting meeting.
We all sat down, Remus making sure I was right with him, as I gripped his hand tightly, not wanting to let go for any reason. McGonagall bustled in, her lips so thin you could barely see them.
"Now tell me, what is the meaning of all this?" McGonagall asked. "We have a student in the Hospital Wing unconscious because of you lot!"
"Potter, Black, and Lupin attacked him!" Lily exclaimed.
"With good reason!" Sirius retorted.
"And what would that be?" McGonagall asked, looking very sternly at us all.
"King tried to rape Elle," Remus said, giving my hand a squeeze.
"W-what?" Lily asked quietly.
"Could you all leave the room for a minute so I can talk to Miss Knightley by herself?" McGonagall asked, in a more sensitive voice.
"I'm sorry if there's any disrespect in what I'm about to say Professor McGonagall, but Elle is like family to us, so we're staying no matter what," James said.
"Okay. Miss Evans, could you keep patrolling?" McGonagall asked, Lily nodding and leaving. "Now these are serious accusations that could get a student expelled. Can you tell me what happened Eleanor?"
I shook my head fervently. If I told, he'd come back and hurt me. I didn't want to get hurt! I didn't want to ever see him again!
"Eleanor," McGonagall said, taking on a very motherly voice. "I need you to tell me what happened so he can get punished correctly. Nothing will happen to you, we'll make sure of that."
I took what she said into consideration. They would be pretty good about protection...I guess I could tell them.
"Well," I started in a whisper. "We started dating, and we were having our first kiss. I didn't feel any spark or anything, so I tried to get him to stop, but he wouldn't." I let out a muffled sob as all the guys looked at me worriedly.
"Please go on Eleanor," McGonagall encouraged, although she wasn't trying to force it on me.
"I-I kept telling him I didn't want him to do that but he just kept on doing it. And he started putting his hands up and tried to unhook my bra but I told him not to. He wouldn't take no for an answer so I told him that I didn't want to be his girlfriend anymore. He started kissing my neck and I told him to stop, but he refused and-" I started crying as Remus pulled me towards him. I didn't want to go on, but I knew that if something were to be done I had to, "and he r-refused to stop and u-used a spell to pin my a-arms and l-l-legs to the w-wall, and kept d-d-doing what h-he was d-doing. He-he took my s-shirt off a-a-a-against my w-w-will, and t-t-tried to t-take off my b-bra as well but then Remus, J-James and S-S-Sirius came and s-stopped him."
I was full out crying by the end of this and Remus was holding onto my tightly as were the other boys. Why did it have to be me? I didn't do anything!
"I'm going to have to bring this to the Headmaster. This is inexcusable behavior from a student, or from anyone for that matter, and it will result in at least a suspension from Hogwarts. It will be dealt with right away, but in the mean time, we'll need you at a moment's notice, so you will all be excused from your classes tomorrow."
We nodded as we walked out of the office, heading back to the common room.
"I'm sorry James," I whispered.
"Sorry? About what?" He asked, stopping dead in his tracks.
"For not believing you," I said, looking at the ground. "I should've trusted you, not him. This is all my fault." I started crying again and James came over, engulfing me into a hug, his shirt getting wet from my tears.
"Elle, you listen to me. This is not your fault. It never will be your fault. Don't even think that. No one could've known he was going to try that."
I was sitting in the common room, waiting for the boys to come back down. Well, James and Sirius were probably going to sleep but Remus was coming to sit with me and keep me company.
He came down the stairs from the boys' dormitory with a pile of clothes in his hands.
"Here, you can change into these if you want to," He said, handing them to me.
"Okay," I said quietly, looking at them. "Can you just make sure no one comes down?"
"Of course," He said, walking over to the boy's dormitory stairs and standing in front of them, turning his back to me.
"Here, you can change into these if you want to," I said, handing Elle a pile of my clothes.
"Okay," She said, looking at them thoughtfully. "Can you make sure no one comes down?"
"Of course," I said, walking over to the boy's dormitory stairs and standing in front of them, turning my back to her.
I couldn't believe what she had been through tonight. The nerve of him! When he said that comment earlier this year, I didn't think he had meant that he was going to try and rape her! I thought he was going to try and get her to consent to it.
I couldn't help but turn my head slightly and watch her out of the corner of my eye. I wasn't trying to peep! Honest! I was making sure no one was coming through the portrait hole while she was changing.
"Okay, you can come back over, not that you weren't looking anyways," She said, smiling slightly.
"I guess you noticed," I said, feeling my cheeks burning.
"Yeah, kind of," She said, as she sat down on the couch closest to the fire. I laid down behind her on my side. "Remus?"
"Yeah?" I mumbled, feeling really sleepy, but determined to stay awake for Elle's sake.
"Can you stay down here with me? I don't want to be alone," She said, her eyes pleading to me. How can I resist that look?
"Yeah," I answered lamely as she laid down, turning around so she was facing me. I laid down on my back and she laid her head on my chest. "I have a question for you."
"Yeah?" She asked, nuzzling into my chest, making herself comfortable. God, this was like a dream come true.
"How can you be so trusting after something like that happened?" I asked.
"Because I know you Remmy, and you would never hurt me on purpose. I know that," She whispered, sending a chill up my spine. "I'm really sorry about how I've been acting lately. I haven't really been myself."
"You have nothing to be sorry about," I told her, noticing her eyelids drooping before opening and drooping again. It went on like that for a few minutes before I finally said something. "You can fall asleep if you want to."
"Okay," She whispered, before falling asleep on top of me. I fell asleep as well, not too long after.
Next time on "Remember"
"Miss Knightley, it is very unfortunate for me to have to give you this news, but we have to bring in Mr. King for interviewing as well."
I was on feet within milliseconds.
"NO! Please don't! I don't want to see him! Please Professor don't!" I begged; tears streaming down my face as James wrapped his arms around me protectively, trying to calm me down with little shushing noises.
"I'm very sorry, but this is important to the investigation," Dumbledore said with a look of pure sadness in his eyes.
