Author's Note: So, Chapter Seven. I didn't really expect to get this far, but don't worry, I have everything planned out. Hmm...what else to say...OH! This is a warning for the next chapter. DO NOT READ NEXT CHAPTER IF YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS BECAUSE NEXT CHAPTER WILL INCLUDE ATTEMPTED RAPE. That is first warning. There will be another on the actual chapter, and probably in the summary. But it's not that bad, because I wouldn't write full on rape. Just not my style. Anyways, read on!
I woke up the next morning feeling extremely guilty. I didn't mean to say those things to James, because he was like an older brother to me. It was like a different person took over me that night. He was the only family I had right now and I didn't want to mess that up.
It was just that he was so infuriating! He was always trying to protect me from what I didn't need to be protected from!
I quickly got ready and headed down for breakfast, sitting down by myself and eating. Today would definitely be interesting, that's for sure.
"Hey," A smooth and sultry voice said from behind me. I turned around and saw that Andrew, my boyfriend, was standing there.
"Hi," I said. "Are you going to sit down?" He nodded and sat down beside me, intertwining his fingers with my own. "What happened to your eye?"
His blue eye was surrounded by a purpley-black bruise. I ran my fingers over it gently and he winced.
"Black and I had a bit of a falling out," He said simply.
"You mean you two fought?" I asked and he nodded. I looked down the table to see Sirius had a black eye that matched Andrew's.
"Let's get away from that topic," Andrew said uncomfortably.
"No, I want to know what happened," I said.
"Well, after you left, Potter and Black were yelling some more, said some stuff about how you were too good for me, I punched him and he punched me back," He said. "Anyways, how has your morning been?"
"It's been okay," I said, looking down the table somewhat longingly. "I just wish the guys weren't made at me though."
"If they get angry at you over a little thing like that, they might not be worth your time," Andrew said. I had to disagree though. They were everything to me; of course they were worth my time.
A few days later, here I was in the Gryffindor common room, waiting for James to come back. I was going to apologize to him if it was the last thing I did.
"It'll work, trust me, it always-" He stopped mid-sentence when he saw me sitting there. I ran up and gave him a hug, something I have never done before, and was also very uncharacteristic of my introvert self.
"I'm so sorry," I whispered.
"No, I am. I was being too protective," He whispered back, still embracing me.
"I shouldn't have said those things," I said.
"I shouldn't have said the things I said," He said.
"You were being somewhat reasonable," I said. "You don't like him, I get it. I just really like him."
"I understand," He said, keeping me in the embrace.
"Are we still brother and sister?" I asked hopefully. He might have changed his mind after that fight. He pulled away from the embrace so he could look me straight in the eyes.
"Hey, brothers and sisters fight all the time, but they will always be brother and sister," He said, hugging me again, just a little tighter.
"Don't I get a hug?" Sirius asked, opening his arms.
"No," James and I said in unison.
"You punched him in the face," I said.
"Hey! He punched me first!" Sirius exclaimed. "And it still hurts."
"Oh fine," I said, walking over and giving him a hug. He wrapped his arms around me in a bone-crushing bear hug. "Remus," I whispered sympathetically as I went over and gave him as well. He tentatively hugged me back; he looked like he was worried that he would hurt me.
"We need to give you a Marauder nickname, one for only us to use," Sirius said once Remus and I had separated. "Seeing as how everyone calls you Elle, it's not very personal anymore."
"What's a Marauder nickname?" I asked.
"Yeah, like how I'm Prongs, Sirius is Padfoot, Remus is Moony and Peter is Wormtail," James explained as it went quiet, allowing the Marauders time to think.
"How about Storm?" Remus suggested.
"The reason behind it?" James questioned.
"She's usually so quiet, but when she's angry, it's like a storm is rolling in," He said.
"Perfect!" James exclaimed gleefully. "I now pronounce you Storm! A nickname only the Marauders are to use and anyone else who uses it can be slapped in the face or worse."
"Remus! I have a huge favor to ask you!" I called, running into the common room where Remus was sitting on the couch reading. "I asked the other guys and they said you'd be the best to help with this and yeah."
"You haven't told me what it is yet," He said, chuckling slightly as he bookmarked his page and put his book down.
"I want you to teach me how to kiss," I said as I sat down beside him. He looked stunned by this question. "Well, can you?"
"Tell me why James or Sirius can't teach you again? They're probably better than me," Remus said, avoiding eye contact.
"Well, I asked them but James said he couldn't possibly kiss someone that he considered a little sister, and James also said he wasn't going to let Sirius anywhere near me."
"Well, the only way to teach someone to kiss is usually by demonstration," He said awkwardly.
"So kiss away," I said, flicking my hair over my shoulder, closing my eyes and puckering my eyes.
"Well, okay...but first, I need to tell you some stuff about kissing," He said, making me open my eyes and regain my normal composure. "You need to close your eyes when you kiss. And if anyone has wandering hands and it makes you feel uncomfortable, a trick is to just hold their hands. Now, some people like it slow and passionate, while others like it rough and fast. Safest way is to go with a variety of the two. Now, are you ready?"
"Yup," I said as I crawled on my knees over to where he was sitting so I was closer to him. He cupped his hands under my chin and tilted my head so I was looking up at him. He had really pretty eyes. Amber with flecks of gold.
His lips met mine and he started kissing me very lightly, using his hands to pull me closer to him. Our chests were touching when I snaked my arms around his neck, my hands reaching up and playing with hair as if they had a mind of their own. As he deepened the kiss, his tongue begged for entrance, tracing my lips. I slightly parted them, allowing it to enter. Our tongues were dancing with each other, but then we broke apart.
I had felt nothing like that before. Swarms of butterflies had been flying around in my stomach, my heart pounding and there was this...spark. More like fireworks. Actually, it was more like five huge fireworks shows.
I sat there staring at him for some time, my hands still entangled in his hair, and he was staring back at me.
"I-I have to go."
Next time on "Remember"
"Yeah?" She asked, nuzzling into my chest, making herself comfortable. God, this was like a dream come true.
"How can you be so trusting after something like that happened?" I asked.
"Because I know you Remmy, and you would never hurt me on purpose. I know that," She whispered, sending a chill up my spine. "I'm really sorry about how I've been acting lately. I haven't really been myself."
