“Now presenting, Mr. and Mrs. Zabini!” a voice over the speaker announced.
Applause erupted in the large ballroom as the doors opened and the couple walked in. Hope looked simply ravishing in her long white silk gown. It was strapless and hugged her until the waist where if flowed out and down to her feet. The bodice of the amazing gown was lightly dusted in silver glitter. Her hair had been left down with a diamond tiara on top of her red curls. Other then the crown and her ring she wore no other jewelry. Blaise wore his customary dress robes and couldn’t stop smiling and couldn’t stop looking at Hope. The crowd cleared a path for them as they made their way to the dance floor to share their first dance as man and wife.
It was a splendid moment, being in the spotlight like that, even for as short as it was. Soon Eddy and Jenny joined them on the floor, soon to be followed by many others. After a while of just dancing with Blaise, Hope shared a dance with Eddy. Soon she wondered over to where Hermione sat with Harry and Ron. The two boys had been picked as Blaise’s buddies to stand up with him, Harry as best man. Hermione had been her maid of honor while Charity had been her second. Grace and Faith had been the flower girls and were dancing together at the edge of the dancing floor.
“Hey there Mrs. Zabini,” Ron waved as she sat.
“Hi Ron,” Hope laughed. “Having fun?”
“Tons, actually,” Ron grinned. “I don’t normally enjoy these things.”
“He thinks Charity is, how did you put it Ron? Hot?” Hermione smirked at him.
“Shove off,” he frowned at her.
“I think you’re pretty hot yourself, Mr. Weasley,” Charity stood behind him and placed a hand on his shoulder. “I dare say we should share a dance.”
“Sure,” Ron managed as Charity took his hand and led him off to dance.
“Well,” Harry laughed. “On another point, thanks for picking flattering dresses for your bride’s maids.”
The dresses she had picked were knee length, flowy, strapless red dresses. They both got simple diamond necklaces that they got to keep and a pretty red rose to put in their hair. They both looked very good in the color and it was perfect since red and white had been her theme colors. Hope laughed and winked at Hermione.
“Well I wouldn’t dream of disappointing you Harry,” she said. “Plus, Hermione did the same for Ginny and I when you married last week.”
“It was quite difficult to plan a wedding while helping a friend plan hers at the same time,” Hermione laughed. “Wouldn’t you agree Hope?”
“Oh, indeed,” Hope smiled. “It was quite a difficult task.”
“I should think it was a good thing I wanted a beach wedding,” Hermione smiled back.
“What are you doing sitting down?” Blaise came over and pulled Hope to her feet.
“Talking with my friends,” Hope replied, sitting back down. “We were just talking of how convenient Hermione’s planning was.”
“It couldn’t have been too hard since you’d been engaged on the same day,”
Harry rolled his eyes. You’ve only been married a week apart, to the day after all.”
“That’s all fine and dandy but I want to dance with my wife!” Blaise declared.
“Oh if you insist,” Hope smiled and stood, bidding goodbye to Harry and Hermione as she was led off.
She definitely enjoyed being married, Hope decided as she curled up beside Blaise in their marriage bed. They had just finished ‘consummating’ their marriage for the fourth time that night. She could hardly believe that she was finally getting what she had always hoped for, and only a year after everything that had happened. The worst thing to happen to her since then was finding out that the florist had begun arranging the flowers too late and might not be able to finish on time.
Blaise really couldn’t have been happier. Everything was turning out wonderfully. He couldn’t ask for anything more, except to maybe move to England in the country in a big house and start a family. But that would happen in time, he knew. Now he was just going to enjoy being with Hope and have a happy life. They had their whole lives ahead of them, after all, and he had Hope to spend it with.
