Hermione rarely went out while the moon dominated the sky. She preferred it when the sun was in control of the stars. Night seemed eerie and deafening without somebody with her. Especially since Voldemort fell. People definitely have it in for Hermione. She took advantage of daylight to help her find the vermin that hid in the dark before they had a chance to kill anyone else. This was her new assignment: to seek them out.
She lived alone in Godric's Hollow. She, Harry, and Ron are still the best of friends. They were still there for each other through thick and thin even after Hogwarts. At the moment, however, the two boys were out shopping for Harry's tux.
Yep. You guessed it. Harry and Ginny have decided to tie the knot. Their wedding has been set to take place three weeks from today. Ron is Harry's best man and Hermione is Ginny's maid of honor. Hermione and Ginny had already taken care of the dresses last week so they didn’t have anything to worry about.
As for Ron and Hermione, let’s just say that things didn't work out between them. There was too much bickering involved. The two of them had decided to end it before their friendship was lost forever. Every now and then Hermione catches herself sneaking glances at Ron in secret but she doesn't want him back.
It's funny how things turn out. Ron is now currently talking to Lavender and Hermione has taken herself off the market for the time being. She loved having time to herself. Even though she won't admit it to herself or anyone else for the matter, she is secretly in search of that one true love.
Thunder roared, startling Hermione. She glanced out of the window and dropped her book when something caught her eye. Within the midst of the rain fall, two silhouettes could be seen. It appeared that they were talking under the night stars, or at least that's what it looked like from Hermione's point of view.
She hurriedly ducked down, because she could have sworn that they looked her way. She came up slowly to take a peek, and her thought was confirmed. They had seen her.
Lightning flashed throughout the night sky. Draco Malfoy found himself snooping around Godric's Hollow with his best mate Blaise Zabini. Night time was when he was at his best. He had an advantage amongst the shadows. What's sad is that he has to remain within the shadows to not be seen by the human eye.
Ever since the Dark Lord fell to the stupid Golden Trio, Draco Malfoy has had his name on the Wanted list. If he was ever to be seen then that would be the end of the Malfoy legacy. His parents had been killed by Aurors and Draco wanted revenge. If you would look into his eyes, you would see a burning fire that feeds off his anger and hate.
He had it with the Ministry and, even though the Dark Lord was gone, His glory will not be forgotten. Draco and Blaise have been trying to muster up followers ever since a secret had unfolded in front of them. Hope was restored to the two of them. The Dark Lord had trusted them with His secret. There was another way He could come back. Only Draco and Blaise knew how and they weren't going to let it reach the ears of the Ministry just yet.
The two of them have lost too many friends and family, but their day was coming. They knew it. The dark side will rise again, destroying all those who oppose them.
What Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy did not know was that although the roads they were traveling had been paved with their own good intentions, these roads would soon intersect each other.
Thunder roared making Draco look up. He looked to his left and noticed someone looking out of a window from one of the houses. He motioned for Blaise to look. As he did, the person ducked down out of sight.
Blaise's face fell, "We've been seen. What do we do?" He looked at Draco for an answer or a plan that they could put into action.
"Kill whoever it is," Draco shrugged as if it was nothing. Stun them first because I want to see who it is. Maybe we can use them." Blaise nodded his head in agreement. The person had gone back to staying out of sight, so the boys snuck around the house.
Blaise nodded to Draco, and they kicked open the door. A scream was heard and Blaise was hit by a stunning spell. Draco fired one back and the person froze. He muttered a spell and Blaise sighed in relief. They examined who they had caught and shock was clearly written on their faces. They had stunned none other than Hermione Granger. The brains of the Golden Trio.
Blaise glanced at Draco and asked, "What now genius?"
Draco smirked, "We use her as bait. Hurry. Let's get her to my place quietly. We can't be seen. Understand?"
Blaise nodded and called for their brooms. Draco held the stunned Hermione and up they went. High in the clouds and out of sight from any spying eyes.
Hermione, unable to do anything, was amazed when they arrived at the Malfoy Manor. It was so big and simply gorgeous.
Soon after, she was stripped of her wand and thrown in a cell in the dungeon. "Don't try anything funny. I might send a house elf down with food but I think I'm going to need time to think about that one," Draco sneered and walked out of the dungeon with a smirk plastered on his face.
As soon as he was out of sight, Hermione tried to Apparate. She felt something tug at her and she was thrown back on the ground of the dungeon.
Draco poked his head from around the corner. "Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that there's a spell placed on this manor so people can't Apparate in or out. I will check on you tomorrow morning. Bye for now." He waved his pale hand and made to leave once more.
"Wait!" Hermione stood up. "What do you want with me?"
"Revenge," Draco said as the fire in his eyes roared.
"Come on you stupid git! You're just upset because you lost! Well you're going to lose again so you might as well not even try. If you let me go now then I won't turn you in." She folded her arms in defiance.
Draco let out a sinister laugh. "What makes you so sure that I'm going to lose? As I seem to recall, you are the one locked behind bars. Now you better not be so rude to me because there are far worse things that I can make you do. As a matter of fact, I think I already have something in store for you." With that, he left without a second glance.
Hermione slid down the stone wall and hit her head against it. "How am I ever going to get out of this one? I better be out within three weeks because if I miss Harry and Ginny's wedding, all hell will break loose." She glared at the bars in front of her. Ideas started running through her head and stopped once she found one she liked. She smiled to herself and stood up.
A/N: Kind of short I know. Sorry but I wanted to get this out to see what people think of this idea. The next one will be longer. Let me know what you think!
