She groaned and rolled over onto her belly. She wrapped her arms around her pillow, closed her eyes and inhaled deeply. This was her favourite part of the day. She opened one eye and looked at the picture on her bed side table. She smiled and squealed, burrowing in her covers. The picture was of a beautiful platinum haired boy, smiling proudly into the camera, looking extremely handsome in his green quidditch uniform. Hermione grabbed the frame and brought it closer. She examined every inch of his face and sighed. She pressed her lips to the cool glass and kissed it gently. The sheer silliness of it made her giggle. She put the frame down and tossed her covers aside. She slid out of her fourposter and padded quickly into the bathroom. She showered and hummed a happy tune and brushed her teeth. Hermione majicked her hair dry pulled her frizzy ringlets into a ponytail. She poked at her face wondering if she should wear make up. She decided against it and walked back into the dormitory. After pulling her uniform and shoes on, she grabbed her messenger bag and books, she blew the picture of Draco a final kiss and started for the Great Hall.
Hermione pushed through the big oak doors and entered the dining hall. She quickly made her way over to the Gryffindor table, knowing well that a pair of grey eyes at the other end of the hall was watching her. She blushed and her stomach erupted into butterflies. She tried in vain to rub them away as she joined her friends.
"Morning Hermione." Harry said with a smile.
"Good morning. Morning Ronald."
"Mormon," Ron mumbled sleepily, and yawned.
"Another all nighter?" Hermione asked without looking at him and helping herself to ham and eggs.
Ron nodded and laid his head down next to his plate.
"When will you ever learn to do the assignment the day it's assigned, rather than the night before it's due?"
"Oh shove off Hermione. Do you not have any sympathy for me? I mean look at me! These bags!" Ron pulled down a puffy, purple lower eye lid.
"Ew," Hermione slapped his hand, "And no I don't. I've no sympathy for lazy bums."
Ron stared at her, then laid his head back down.
Harry laughed, "Oh c'mon Hermione, not all of us are as motivated to write essays about....what was it about Ron?"
"I unno," Ron mumbled.
"Oh you two--" Hermione started but was interrupted as the bell rang for the first lesson. She gathered her things, gave Harry a hug, smacked Ron on the head, and told them both to behave before heading out the doors.
She flipped through a text book, making sure she had her homework, when someone grabbed her from around the waist and pulled her over to the side.
"Good Morning beautiful," A deep voice said and pressed it's lips against Hermione's forehead.
"Morning," She said, a series of electric shocks going through her body. Draco lowered his head to hers and gave her a kiss on the lips. Hermione's insides melted and her legs turned to jelly. Draco pulled back and cupped her face. He smoothed his thumb over her cheek and kissed her forehead again. The warning bell rang, but the two remained where they were.
"We're gonna be late," Hermione giggled.
Draco looked slightly disappointed, "I guess you're right," He gave her a quick hug and started to head to his classroom. Just as Hermione put her foot on the first step of the grand stair case, Draco turned back, quickly pulled her back into his arms, kissed her on the lips, and dashed off to class. It took all Hermione had not to scream out in happiness. She turned around and quickly ran up the steps to her first class, putting one foot through the doorway just as the final bell rang.

Hermione could hardly concentrate in any of her morning classes. All she could think about was Draco. The way his eyes twinkled, the way he laughed, what his skin felt like against hers. She sighed and bolted out the door as the bell rang for lunch. She went outside a little ways out of the courtyard and waited under the tree for Draco to arrive. Hermione looked up into the sky and watched as gray clouds moved into view. She blinked as a drop of rain fell onto her face.
"Awe man," She whispered and held her hands out, feeling for more rain.
"I like rain," Draco said and wrapped his arms around her waist from behind. He nuzzled her neck and trailed her jaw with gentle kisses.
"But we'll get wet," Hermione reached up and wrapped her arms around his neck.
"I'm ok with that," He said, turning her around and swinging her off the ground. He sat on the ground under the tree, and pulled her down onto his lap. "How were your lessons?"
Hermione leaned back against him, "They were all right. Yours?"
"Fascinating."
"Am I sensing some sarcasm?"
"Sarcasm? Why Hermione you've offended me! Why in the world would I not find learning about a three headed talking beaver who happens to shit out gold fascinating?"
Hermione giggled. There was a loud crash of thunder, and rain started pouring. Hermione shrieked and jumped out of Draco's lap. Draco got up quickly and pulled his cloak off. He held it up over his head and pulled Hermione under it with him. After walking a couple of steps, Draco pushed Hermione into the mud. She fell butt first into the dirty brown ground and stared up at a laughing Draco. She grabbed a hand full of mud and threw it at him. She missed his face but giggled all the same as the mud was splattered all over his robes.
"You're so dead," He laughed and chased after her. Hermione shrieked and ran away from him. He tackled her to the ground and pinned her hands above her head. She giggled and kicked him off, loosing a shoe in the process. Draco picked it up and ran off with it.
"Hey! Draco! My stockings'll be ruined!"
"Awe poor baby! Afraid to get your little feet dirty?" He taunted her and tossed the shoe up and caught it.
Hermione pulled her stocking off as well as the other one and the other shoe. She ran around in circles barefoot, holding her arms out to the side. She leaped and twirled around in the rain and mud. Draco smiled at her and stared in awe. She was beautiful.

Hermione tossed her muddy clothes into a pile near her bed, making a mental note to get Dobby to pick them up in the morning. She climbed into her bed and settled into the covers. She looked at the picture frame on her bedside table and smiled. She looked at the black leather bound book that Draco had given her. It was glowing pink. Another flurry of butterflies started inside of her belly. She had a message from Draco. She picked it up, and looked at the picture on the front cover. It was a black and white shot of Draco and Hermione holding hands walking in the tall grass. The book turned blue. She had 2 messages from him now. She opened it and read the first one.
"Hey."
"Whatcha doing?"
Hermione smiled giddly, feeling like a little girl all over again.
"Nothing, getting ready to go to sleep....you?"
The reply came instantly.
"Same. You know...there's something about you that I really really like...."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah."
"What's that?" "I don't know..."
Hermione smiled at a loss for words. A final message arrived for her.
"Sweet Dreams beautiful."
Hermione sighed and fell onto her side, clutching the book to her chest. Electric shocks shot up her entire body and she squirmed. She closed her eyes and sighed happily as his voice played in her head "Sweet dreams beautiful."
