Hi. My name is Gracie Ann Potter. And before you even ask, yes, I am related to that prankster and all around arse, James Potter. He’s my older brother. Or rather the person who makes my life a living hell. I blame him for the reason why nobody knows I exist. Thanks to him I’m invisible. Not literally, but you get the jest.
I mean it’s not like I’ve been off at some other school in the Amazon for the past six years. No, I’ve been at Hogwarts, in the same year, and in the same House as him and his dumbass friends, for my whole time here. He’s only nine months older than me. NINE MONTHS!!! That does not give him the right to be a complete jerk towards me. And his excuse that “ because you were born,” is getting old. It’s not my fault that mom had to get pregnant with me, right after he was born. I mean, really, deep down inside, feel bad that my existence has completely ruined James’ life.
Not.
So if James should be mad at someone it should be mom and dad. You would think our parents would have some self-control, but nooooo. I mean James hadn’t even been a month old when I was conceived. Do you really think I had control over that??? Believe me if I had, I wouldn’t be here talking to you right now.
Anyways, before I get carried away with my ranting, I guess I should tell you a little bit about myself. I’m sure you really don’t care, but tough. I’m the complete opposite of my brother. I have long curly platinum blonde hair and baby blue eyes, while James has pointy black hair and eyes that look like mixture of dragon dung and frog legs. He’s slim and tall, and I’m short and have a curvy body with “a nice rack,” as Sirius Black bluntly puts it. James loves to fly on his broomstick. The only thing I want to do with a broomstick is shove it up his ass. I’m more of a studious student. James doesn’t even know how to read.
And don’t even get me started on his friends. Sirius Black, his best mate, is almost as arrogant as James, maybe even worse. Sirius has slept with almost all the girls in Hogwarts. If it’s a living-breathing girl, who’s willing to spread her legs for him, Sirius will shag her. He’s never had a serious relationship. The only thing that satisfies him is meaningless sex, with no strings attached. I won’t lie, Sirius is good looking, and he knows he is too.
I don’t really mind Peter Pettigrew. He just follows James and Sirius’ orders. You can tell that he desperately wants them to really accept him. I think its kind of sad how they treat him more like a servant than a friend. I may not like him and all but he’s still a human being and he can be sweet when he’s not around Sirius and my brother.
Finally, there is Remus Lupin. I really, really like Remus, and not just as a friend either. I mean who wouldn’t like Remus. He has sandy hair that falls into his light honey colored eyes. Remus is tall and muscular, and he is smart. He actually knows what a book is and he also knows how to read one. Remus is perfect, and he’s the only one who can truly see me. While James and Sirius ignore my existence, Remus will wave or smile at me whenever he sees me.
Sorry, I’m getting to carried away about Remus.
So anyways, my name is Gracie Potter and this is my story. It’s a story about love, jealousy, and friendship. How I must over come my own demons and the rising evils that are out to destroy me and the rest of the world. But most importantly, this story is about how I lost my invisibility.
