“That,” Louis said grimly.
“But, how could this happen?” She asked, “Now we’re never going home. Who is she anyway?”
“Her name’s Mia, and James thinks it’s love at first sight.” He explained.
“You’ve got to be kidding me!” She yelled, and Louis mad shhing noises.
“Don’t, you’ll wake Roxanne and Lily.” He scolded quietly.
“Roxanne and Lily! Of coarse I have to wake them and tell them!” Rose said and walking towards the door to one of the bedrooms.
“No, if you wake them they’ll be freaking out for the rest of the night about this!” Louis said.
“You weren’t very concerned about that when you woke me!” She said agitatedly.
“That was different I had to tell someone.” He explained, and Rose rolled her eyes.
“Well, now it’s three and I won’t be getting back to sleep,” She said annoyed, “so I’m going to go lay in bed in a night gown and stare at the ceiling for three to four hours.”
“Yeah, I’m going back down to my room to stare at the ceiling there,” Louis said, “maybe this time I’ll get to sleep.”
“Good night and good luck.” Rose said as she walked to her bedroom.
“You too,” Louis said, and with that he left the room and went back down to his own.
When Louis got back to the room he shared with James and Albus he flopped down onto his bed and stared up at the ceiling. He didn’t know how long he was lying there, but eventually sleep overwhelmed him. When he awoke again he got up and got dressed. When Louis walked out of the bathroom he saw his cousins were still sleeping.
There was a knock on the door and Louis opened it to see Fred standing in doorway.
“Come on,” Louis said walking out of the room and Fred followed.
“What’s going on?” Fred asked confused.
“I have to tell you something, but I don’t want to be over heard.” Louis explained.
He walked quickly up to the deck with Fred at his heals. When they finally got up there they both realized the sun was just rising.
“So, what did you want to tell me?” Fred asked.
“James,” Louis said quickly, “he met a girl last night, and thinks it’s love at first sight.”
“Well, we’re screwed!” Fred said loudly.
“My words exactly.” He said.
“We’re never going to get out of here now!” Fred said, “This is what we get for letting James keep the time turner. Do the girls know yet?”
“I told Rose last night, and she’ll probably tell the other two this morning.” Louis explained, “Are Hugo and Scorpius awake yet?”
“They weren’t when I left,” Fred said, “that’s part of the reason I went to go see you guys, I was lonely, but I’d better go wake them and let them know, they’ll kill me if I don’t tell them right away.”
“Okay, I’d better head back down before James and Albus realize I’m gone.” Louis said, and they walked back into the inside of the ship together.
Once Louis was alone walking down a corridor he saw that he and Fred weren’t the only ones out early. There was a girl with long auburn hair walking towards him. He stopped in his tracks studying the girl. This girl matched James’ description of Mia.
“Hello,” She said brightly as she passed.
“Erm… Hi,” Louis managed to say.
Once she had turned the corner Louis broke into a run the rest of the way to tell Albus who he’d just seen. When he sprinted through the door he saw both of his cousins still asleep, but Louis had to tell Al now.
“Albus Potter! Wake up now, I have to talk to you!” He shouted, shaking the mattress violently.
Finally he was awake, but Louis kept shaking the mattress to wake him up more.
“Did we hit the ice berg already?” Al asked when Louis finally stopped shaking the mattress.
“No, but I think I just saw that Mia girl in the corridor.” He explained, “I can see why James wouldn’t want to leave, she’s gorgeous.
“You’re kidding me, Rose!” Lily yelled, “How can my brother be such an idiot?”
The girls were standing at the bow of the ship just after sun rise with Scorpius and Hugo.
“I don’t know, but according to Louis it’s ‘love at first sight’,” Rose explained.
“But James is smarter then that.” Scorpius said.
“No, he’s really not.” Lily said loudly.
“I can’t believe this, I’m gonna go see Fred.” Roxanne said annoyed.
“Oh, I’ll go with you, James might be there!” Lily said, and the two left together.
“I’m gonna go find Louis.” Hugo said, and when Scorpius didn’t respond he left, leaving the other two alone.
There was a long awkward pause that seemed to take hours to break.
“They things James will do to get a girlfriend!” Rose finally said in an angry outburst.
“I know, but some guys can get really desperate.” Scorpius said, putting his arm around her shoulders.
“Yeah, but how many do you think would go as far as endangering the lives of eight other people?” She asked putting her head on his shoulder absentmindedly.
“I’d say not many, but every society has a James.” He said reassuringly.
“I know, and we’re just lucky enough to have James himself.” Rose said irritably.
“Yeah, we’re so fortunate.” Scorpius said sarcastically.

“So, my you haven’t seen my brother yet today?” Lily asked Fred for the hundredth time.
“No, but when I do I’m going to do very illegal things to him!” Fred said.
“Let me help!” She said eagerly.
“Me too!” Roxanne chipped in.
They were interrupted by a knock on the door. James walked in when Fred opened the door, and when Lily saw her brother she fought an urge to jump on top of him and strangle him right there on the spot.
“Lily, why are you giving me the death glare?” James asked nervously at the sight of said glare on his little sisters face.
“You disserve it.” Roxanne answered for her, giving James and equally murderous look as she said it.
“Why do you guys look like you want to kill me?” James asked nervously.
“James, are we leaving any time soon?” Fred asked.
“What do you mean? Why wouldn’t we?” James asked confused.
“We heard you met a girl last night.” Roxanne said in a dangerously low voice.
“And that you think it’s love at first sight.” Lily added angrily.
“I still neglect to see why you’re pissed.” James said.
“BECAUSE WE DON’T WANT TO DIE JUST SO YOU CAN BE WITH YOUR PRESCIOUS MIA!” Fred shouted at the top of his voice.
James took a frightened step back. Even Roxanne and Lily were a little scared now. Many of people had see Fred get mad before, but no one had ever pushed him this far.
“ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?” Fred yelled, “I’M YELLING AT YOU! I DON’T USUALLY YELL, BUT NOW I THINK I’M LIKING IT!”
James quickly ran towards the door and ducked under Fred’s arm as it swung towards him. He made it out the door in one piece and darted up to the cabin he’d walked Mia to the night before. He knocked on the door and it was answered by a man who was… well just plain scary to James. His eyes were brown and the blood vessels were clearly visible. He was balding, but the bushy black mustache made up for it. He was a very large man whom James was pretty sure could eat him, but there was no doubting that he was strong.
“Who the hell are you?” he asked grumpily.
“Is Amelia here?” James asked timidly.
“Who is it, Dad?” came a voice from behind the towering man, and a moment later Mia appeared at her father’s elbow, “Oh, James!”
“Hi, I was just wondering if you’d want to go up to the deck with me?” James asked nervously, not taking his eyes off of her father.
“Sure that sounds great!” Mia said excitedly.
Her father cleared his throat and Mia rolled her eyes.
“Dad, can I go?” She asked annoyed.
“Be back by dinner.” He growled.
“Thanks!” she said and pulled James by the wrist from the room.
Once they were up on the deck staring out at the waves Mia spoke again.
“I’m sorry about him.” Mia said, “He didn’t scare you did he?”
“Just a little bit.” James said trying not to be mean and Mia laughed.
James chuckled too. He noticed how her eyes seemed to sparkle when she laughed and how the corners crinkled at the same time. She had the most gorgeous laugh.
