AN: hi everybody this chapter is much better honestly or at least it starts to get faster thankyou to my one reveiwer nightmares and moonlight. please review more people. please im begging you.

Remus point of view
I elbow Sirius hard but he just winces and continues to smile, taunting me like a Cheshire cat.
“Hello Sirius” she says with a slight scowl. “Hello Remus” she says with a shy smile. It was clear to me that she still hadn’t forgiven Sirius. I laughed inside my head. Hopefully it will stay that way... or at least she doesn’t fall for him. An awkward silence follows and the three of us excluding James eat slowly looking at the food on our plates. I finally ask,
“So Charlotte… do you like the school so far?” she looks up at me and I am once again startled by her eyes.
“Yes I really like the school it’s just big. They really need to hand out maps” she said
“A map!” James says his head popping up as he joins the conversation. Sirius and I give him the “not another word” look and he quiets down but pays attention. Charlotte looks at the three of us in confusion, probably wondering what she missed. The four of us all look up as lily’s voice is heard from behind charlotte.
“Hello charlotte?” charlotte turns to face lily
“Yes….” She says
“I’m Lily Evans, head girl. I just wanted to make sure all your classes went well and you’re enjoying Hogwarts.” She says warmly
“All my classes were fine and Hogwarts is beautiful. I really enjoy it here. In fact Remus was just asking me the same thing” she says smiling at me. My insides flutter as I meet her eyes. I smile back widely at both of them feeling very stupid. Lily smiles knowingly at both of us and winks at me. I cringe inwardly. Oh great is it that obvious that I like her? I think to myself. I am distracted by a continuous movement from my left. I look over and see James running his hand through his hair over and over making it messier by the second. I fight the urge to laugh. I hear a sigh of annoyance from lily and turn back to her.
“Uhhhh Potter” she says under her breath. “okay then well I better go if you need any help with anything just come and find me” with that she smiles once more at Charlotte and me then glares at James and Sirius.
“Wait lily” Charlotte says standing up. “Could you help me find Gryffindor tower and my dorm? I arrived early this morning and didn’t have time to ask the headmaster” she says with clear urgency.
“Sure let’s go” lily replies. James and I watch as they leave. Once they’re out of everybody else’s earshot I hear,
“Thank goodness. I thought I would have to spend the rest of lunch with him.” My heart gives an uncomfortable squeeze. Is she talking about me? I thought and strained to hear more. Lily looks at her with almost… well happiness.
“Finally another girl that doesn’t fall head over heels for potter and black” Charlotte smiles and replies
“Well I don’t know James very well but he doesn’t seem that bad but if he is anything like Sirius….” I couldn’t hear anymore but from the look of annoyance on her face I knew. I realized that I had been holding my breath and let it our in a sigh of happiness. Everything is going to be okay. Sirius can’t take her from me this time. Speaking of Sirius he takes hi cue and snaps his fingers on front of me and James. We both snap out of it. Sirius laughs. I roll my eyes and wolf down the rest of my food avoiding his gaze. Sirius just lets out another bark like laugh. James looks over at me in confusion and then finally realization. What he realized I don’t know but I felt the tension between us grow. I ignore it and finish my food. I take the last bite of steak and wipe my mouth with my napkin finally feeling full. I look up once more to see them go around the corner and out the doors. Charlotte turns and looks back once more possibly feeling my gaze. She smiles and leaves. Why do I feel this way about her? I ask myself. For I am a firm believer in personality being the thing that makes me like a girl but this time from the moment I saw her I liked her. What’s wrong with me? It’s not like I don’t like her personality because she seems very nice but that wasn’t what made me feel a connection with her. It was something about her eyes….. I let my mind become blank wondering if I had seen her somewhere else before but to no avail. I try to brush it away from my mind and listen to Sirius and James talk animatedly about their next prank on the Slytherins.
Sirius angrily says, “We can’t repeat a prank”
“Well what about having their food explode into their faces” James says
“No we did that 1st year. Come on were backtracking that was a terrible prank. We have to have a better one than that. We are in 7th year now.”
“Well how am I supposed to remember?” James says exasperated
“Well we could…..” Sirius responds his face falling. It seemed that the infamous marauders had run out of ideas. Sirius had never looked so crestfallen. James just patted him on the shoulder. I almost laughed at them.
“OH! I have it” James says excitedly.
Charlottes POV
Lily and I made our way up the spiral stairs of Gryffindor tower. When we reached the top there was a portrait of a rather plump lady dressed in a pink dress.
“Password” she said
“Lily flower” lily says blushing. The painting swings forward revealing the entrance. Once we step through I look around the common room smiling. Then I turn to lily.
“What was with the password?” I ask
“Oh.” She says with an embarrassed look on her face “because James and I are head boy and girl we get to change the passwords every month or so.” She sighs “unfortunately this time James got to choose the password” try not to smile at her but I fail terribly. I think that it’s cute for him to change the password to her nickname. She chooses to ignore it and with a roll of her eyes starts to walk up one of the two staircases.
“This is the girls’ dorm. The boys thankfully for us can’t come n because even if they set a foot on the staircase it will turn into a slide and they will be unable to continue.” We get to the top of the stairs and open the door. It leads to a hallway with many different doors on both sides. We walk down the hallway and lily abruptly stops at room number 13. She opens the door and there lay 2 sets of bunk beds.
“This is your bed” she points to the top one to the right, “I'm right below you. Tonight I will introduce you to the other girls” I nod. I’m not too happy about being on the top bunk because I tend to talk and roll a lot in my sleep. Usually I roll right off the bed and onto the floor. This will be interesting.
“Well is that all you need to know?” lily asks
“Yep” I reply happily
“Well we better go otherwise we will be late for class”
“What? I thought class started later” I say looking at the magical timer that stood on the nightstand.
“Oh we have a shortened lunch today” she says and with a wave of her wand changes the timer. With that we leave the room and exit the tower.
“By the way do you know where charms are?” I ask
“Just follow me” she says smiling, “I have charms next also.” We take 3 sets of stairs and walk down 5 different corridors. I’m glad I have lily with me. We finally arrive in the classroom and I take my seat next to lily. Apparently nobody sits there. We were the first ones to arrive. Shortly after the rest of the crowd comes in and right before class starts James Sirius and Remus come running in. James and Sirius wink at us while Remus looks uncomfortable. Lily rolls her eyes in return and I trying to remain polite ignore them. With Sirius that’s as far as I will go. He is not getting a smile from me. Sometimes people just bug me for no apparent reason, they just do. Sirius was NOT one of those people. Everything he did made me dislike him but I probably wouldn’t hate him if he hadn’t asked me out. Honestly why was he named Sirius there was nothing serious about him other than that I seriously hate him.
“Thinking about me?” a voice says from behind me. I recognize it instantly and stiffen.
“Nope” I reply with what I hope is nonchalance and not anger.
“I think you were” he says tauntingly. I turn around not bothering to hide my scowl and see him smirking. Next to him Remus looks uncomfortable.
“No I wasn’t” I say adding a growl at the end. Sirius looks startled and I visibly pale. It was too lifelike. Remus looks up from his book and over at me in surprise. My eyes meet his and I am lost into them. The gold flecks shine bright for a second and I gasp slightly. What was that?..... Is he?….. No he can’t be…. Is he?….just like me?
so what do you think? is it getting better. i told you. haha. anyways im not going to post the next chapter until i get at least 10 reviews. please. : ) oh and im really sorry but im not going to be able to post for a while. vacation and school work.
