The next morning, as Hermione went off to the Great Hall when she saw Harry trying to talk to Ron, who was staring off into space, either ignoring him or thinking.
"Cho!" Hermione called to her as she headed inside with Cedric. "Can I ask you something?"
"Of course." Cho smiled, "I'll just be a minute, Cedric."
He waved and went inside, Cho following Hermione a bit down the hall.
"So, what can I do for you?" Cho asked sweetly.
"Well, I don't know if you'll hate me for asking, but do you like Harry Potter what-so-ever?" Hermione asked, then quickly added, "I know you're with Cedric right now, but Harry wants to know."
"Well.. I.. Just.." Cho was beginning to stutter, but quickly recovered. "I suppose he's alright, but yes, I'm with Cedric right now."
"If you don't mind me asking, if you weren't with Cedric, would you consider being with Harry - not that he's trying to break you up or anything, but you know.." Hermione asked before she was able to turn around and head off.
"I honestly don't know.." Cho said quietly. "Can I get back to you on that?"
"Of course." Hermione replied.
Cho headed off to eat as Harry and Ron came downstairs.
"Morning!" Hermione said brightly, looking from Harry to Ron, eyes anxious.
"Morning." Harry replied.
"Well, Cho talked to me today.." Hermione said as they sat down.
"Really, what did she say?" Harry asked, now paying more attention.
"She said that she thinks your alright, but she's with Cedric right now." Hermione said, then finished by saying, "She also said she'd get back to me, because I asked if she would be with you if she wasn't dating Cedric, and she said she didn't know right then."
"Good, I guess." Harry shrugged, "But about Ron.."
"What about me??" Ron asked, finally turning to look at them, after staring at Fleur for the first half of breakfast.
"Nothing." Hermione and Harry said quickly, looking down at their plates, and starting to fork food into their mouths at the same time.
Ron raised an eyebrow, and they started laughing.
"Morning." Fleur said, coming over.
"Hello." Hermione said quietly, looking at her, then back down at the table.
"Uhm-Hi." Ron said quickly.
"You are Ronald, no?" Fleur asked him.
"I-Uh-Yeah." Ron grinned. "How did you know?"
"I have asked around. People say you are very funny." Fleur smiled.
"I'm called Ron, though." Ron laughed. "But Ronald is okay, as well."
"I am glad to know zis." Fleur said. "Would you like to walk wiz me?"
"Uh, yeah, sure." Ron grinned, standing up.
"But, Ron, you said you'd help me with that class project!" Hermione whined.
"You can do it. You're smart enough." Ron shrugged, and started off.
"I hate him!!" Hermione cried, and ran out of the Great Hall.
"She does..?" Ron asked slowly, after hearing her.
"Of course not. She's just annoyed." Harry replied, shrugging.
"Why..?" Ron asked quietly. "It's not like she's jealous or anything..is she? She's not..right?"
"Well.." Harry muttered slowly.
"She is?!" Ron cried, eyes wide.
"Ronald, are you comeeng?" Fleur asked, coming back over.
"I'm so sorry, Fleur, but I have to go talk to somebody. I promise I'll talk to you later." Ron said, then waved, running out of the room.
"Is he really comeeng back?" Fleur asked sarcastically.
"Honsestly, I doubt it..." Harry laughed.
"I thought zis.." Fleur grinned. "Well, tell him I am going with another boy to ze dance."
"I will." Harry said, then smirked as she turned around and walked off.
