Chapter 3: The Friend
I looked up at the door. I couldn’t help but wonder who it was. Before I even said anything the door slowly opened and Hermione stuck her head in. She asked, “Is it all right if I come in?”
I looked at her and said, “Why wouldn’t it be?’
She walked in and shut the door behind her. She conjured a chair next to mine and sat down in it. I gave her a confused look and said, “Why wouldn’t it be?”
She shook her head in a never mind so I turned my attention back to the orchard and stared off taking in the beautiful scene.
She said, “So…your mum told me that they asked you to join the Chuddle Cannons.”
“Yeah, they did.” I said without my attention leaving the orchard and the sunset.
“Well are you going to? I mean it is something you have done since your 3rd year.”
“I know, but…”
“But?”
I let my eyes drop from the scene outside and at the desk. I got up and sat down on my window sill. I said in a depressed voice, “I don’t know…it’s…it’s…it’s…it’s just all the memories, I guess.”
“Oh. I am sorry…I f-forgot. I just thought it was the sport you love so I thought you would.”
“I know, but I just don’t know if I can. I mean I do love it, but…but the memories of him.”
She got up and put her hand on my shoulder and said, “Maybe you need to so you don’t think about it.”
I looked at her and said, “Well, I told Katie I would, but I… oh why do… I am just going to do it so I’ll stop this.”
I let my head fall back against the trim of the window. She looked at me and said, “Well…if it helps you know that isn’t why I came in here.”
I gave her a strange her a questioning look. She look at me said, “It was because of this,” she picked up my scrapbook, “you were crying, wasn’t it?”
I looked at her in the eyes but said nothing. She dropped the scrapbook, and she soon embraced as I felt the tears run down my face. I whispered in her ear, “I don’t think I could go on with out you.”
She pulled away and whispered, “You won’t ever have to…”
A/N: so this is just a chapter I put in and it isn’t very exciting. But I just moved and I wanted to get a chapter up so I could get rolling again, and you guys would have a new chapter.
