Hello all. Okay, I have a lot of things to say right now so you can just read or you can just get right to the story.
First, I'm sorry it's taken so long to get this chapter up but School is very overwhelming and I just sprained my ankle, so I'm in a little pain and school is stressing. Also, on one of my reviews Somebody talked about Hermione being related to james. If you thought that but didn't say anything, don't worry, she's not. The james I was referring to in that chapter was just some random relative. I didn't even know that I had done that, so I apologize if some of you were confused. So that's all I think. Good-bye. Oh, and here's a recap.
Recap: Hermione didn't answer. She just stared at him, eyes wide. James laughed, "Oh, well. If you don't love me now, I'll make sure you do in the future. Now I did come here so we could enjoy one another again, but I think your just a little too weak, so I'll go.” James laughed. "And remember Hermione, my love, what happened on the train is our little secret. And if you tell, your precious boyfriend pays."
Hermione lay awake, haunted by the maniacal laughter as he walked away. She finally fell asleep after an hour, but it was a fitful sleep, for her dreams were filled with James' laugh and burning eyes.
A few hours later, Ron, Harry, Blaise, Rupert, and Draco were all sitting around Hermione.
Ron kept looking at Draco, and finally Draco couldn’t take it anymore. “Dear God Weasley, whatever you want to say just say it all ready!” Ron’s ears burned at being caught, “ W-w-well, its j-j-just t-that, um.” He stammered. Draco gave him scorching look. Ron’s face reddened, “I was just wondering, is your and Hermione’s relationship really serious? Not that I want to know, its just-”
“Look Weasley,” Draco said, standing up. “Hermione’s and my relationship is very strong. The only way that we’re not going to be together is if she chooses it, and I’m pretty sure that’s not going to happen any time soon. So you better get over your infatuation with her pretty fast because if you even hint to her at the possibility of you two being together, you will get hurt.” Ron looked away under the Slytherin’s glare.
Blaise smiled and held up a hand. “Nice.” was all he said as he and Draco shared a high five.
Draco settled back into his chair only to stand up again, as Hermione started to thrash about whimpering. She started to scream and suddenly sit up screaming, covered in sweat. They all clamored around her, asking what’s wrong. Hermione covered her ears with her hands and screamed, “SHUT UP!”
They all quieted at once. Finally Draco asked slowly, "Hermione, what's the matter?"
Hermione looked at him incredulously. "You don't know what's the matter with me? How can you possibly not know?"
"Maybe because we don't know Hermione." Harry said, looking at her worriedly. Hermione looked at him with horror. Then she looked at the rest of the circle, finally stopping on Draco. "I can't believe you all. Don't you remember what you said to me last night? What you promised?" She said slowly, through teary eyes.
Draco stared at her, "Of course we remember Hermione, we were there."
Hermione looked at him for a few seconds, then she started laughing hysterically, the way you do if you get hurt and you're trying to ignore the pain. Through her laughter she said, "And yet I woke up in the middle of the night, to find James standing over me, and none of you in sight!"
Draco reached for her hand, trying to calm her, but she pulled away. "Don't touch me you filthy ferret! I hate you!" She was really crying now, tears streaming down her face, and Draco‘s eyes were watering. "Hermione please, let me explain. We were here but then we heard-" "I don't care!" She screamed. "You weren't here and I trusted you! You weren't here when I needed you. You weren‘t there to protect me. You weren‘t there." Her words started out in a scream, but ended in a whisper. Finally, Hermione couldn’t take it anymore, and let all he pain and loneliness out, sobbing into her pillow, hiding herself away from them all.
Ron put a hand on her shaking shoulder. "Hermione, please, we're sor-" "Just go away.' She sobbed.
They all nodded, and one by one they stood up and walked out of the hospital wing, until only Draco left. He stood, and put a hand on Hermione's shoulder and said softly, "I love you Hermione, and I always will, even if you don't feel the same." He walked away, and left the wing but didn't go far, for although Hermione didn't want him there he would be close in case she needed him, for he never revoked his promise.
Unknown to them all, a sinister man was hidden in the shadows, watching the entire exchange.
James laughed silently to himself, as he watched Harry, Ron, Blaise, and Rupert walk. But he stopped when he heard Draco’s words, “I love you Hermione, and I always will, even if you don't feel the same." ‘That’s going to be a problem’ James thought. ‘He’s after Hermione, therefore he’s competition.’ James smiled, ‘But that’s not a problem, competition can be destroyed.’
"Soon Hermione,” He said softly, “soon you will be mine. My love, and my wife."
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Cliffhanger!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THOSE! Oh, well, I hoped you all liked it, and sorry it was so short. I've got other homework to do so bye.
