After our last class of the day I had told Lily I would go straight down to dinner and she told me she'd meet me there. When she didn't show up I started getting worried, until her friends came and told me she wasn't feeling well. Well...that just made me more worried, so I ate quickly and then piled some food onto another plate. I didn't know what she'd want because she eats something different everyday so I just put a bit of everything on the plate. I told the guys I was leaving to see Lily, and I booked it out of the Great Hall with a plate full of food which nearly fell to the floor because I was running so fast to get to Lily. Yeah. I know. I'm whipped. Sirius tells me all the time. I don't care. It's worth it in the end if Lily isn't mad at me or anything. You never know with this girl. One minute she's laughing, and the next her eyes are flashing and you know you're in some deep shit. Actually, now that I think about it...she's only been that way for the past few days or so. Hmmm..Oddness...
I walked into Lily's room in the head dorms after dinner with a plate of food. She was sitting in her bed in her green pajamas, reading a book.
"Aw, you brought me dinner. You are so sweet," she gushed. I blushed and she laughed.
"So, what's wrong? How come you didn't come to dinner?" I asked her as I put the plate of food on the table next to her bed and sat down on the edge of her bed.
She frowned. "Well...you know...," she muttered
"Er...no," I said. I was very confused.
"Well... the painters are in," she said.
I just stared at her and rubbed the back of my neck. "I, um, kind of don't know what that means," I said.
She blushed. "Well..my little friend has come to visit," she mumbled.
"Who?"
"Oh lordy..." she said looking up at the ceiling.
"What'd I do?" I asked, looking up at the ceiling with her.
She shook her head. "You're impossible."
"Nuh-uh! You are!"
"James!" She said in exasperation.
"Whaaat?" I asked.
She opened her mouth and closed it again. "I forgot what we were talking about."
I opened my mouth and closed it, because I forgot too. Hmmm...think James. Think....BRAIN BLAST! "Oooh! Ooooh! I remember! You were telling me why you weren't coming down to dinner," I said, "and before you say that the painters are in or your little friend is visiting, you already told me that...and I don't know what that means." I added quickly.
Lily rolled her eyes at me and then stared at her legs. "You know...my period," she muttered.
I blushed. "Ohhhh," I said. She nodded. "Does it...you know...hurt?" I asked lamely.
"Well..usually it doesn't, I don't know why but today it's been horrible," she answered.
"Oh?" I said, because I didn't know what else to say.
"Yeah...it's a really heavy flow too," she added.
I felt my stomach flip. Oh boy I thought.
"Um..flow?" I said weakly.
"Yeah..it's like a waterfall in my underwear," she said.
Oh Merlin, here comes dinner. I made a small noise in my throat. It sounded slightly sympathetic. She looked up at me.
"Yeah...it sucks...uhm, James, are you okay? You're as white as a ghost,"
A/N: Well, there you go. Chapter 3! Wow..I am SUCH a nice author. I add another chapter right when my other one is validated. Hmmm. I wonder how long this one will take to validate. And yes...I know...another extremely short chapter. It is so hard to make long ones, I am sooo sorry. But since school has just started, and my teachers have already loaded a bunch of homework on me, you can't blame me. I am trying. Anywayyy, I just love getting reviews..don't you? Please please please (and since my reviewer BuckBeaktheHippogriff does not like cherries or whipped cream) with a giant COOKIE (ha ha ha ha ha) on top! You never know..maybe a bunch of reviews could speed up my typing skills ;-)
