I also don't own the song, by the amazing Sugarcult.
"Rose?" A husky voice asked in an barely audible whisper. Rose recognized his voice as once and jumped to her feet, she could barely mask her emotions -a mixture of nervousness and excitement.
"I knew you would come." she answered him, a half grin reaching the depths of her face.
"I knew you would be waiting." he said matter-of-factly.
"Have you any idea how dangerous this is?" she asked, in all seriousness. Rose Weasley was not a risk taker. She was a good girl. She was the kind of girl that answered questions in class. To her life was living for others, living a life of caution. He changed that, but still, Rose found it very hard to live out of her good-girl ways, on the principals she had been brought up on.
"Yes," his voice showed no traces of fear, of anxiety, only certainty.
"What if we get caught?"
"We won't." His calmness was reassuring to Rose.
"What will my dad think?" Their familes were enemies. There was no doubt of the anomosity between the Weasley and the Malfoy familes even after the war. Rose severly doubted the ability of her father to put that aside, even for his daughter.
"What will your dad think?" Scorpius' tone was an unwelcome mocking tone, which took Rose in surprise.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"You think your life's so tough," Scorpius said, "imagine my father. Prejudiced, indifferent. Imagine what he would think." He paused to look at Rose, who was observing him intently.
"But who cares what they think?" Scorpius continued, then lowered his voice to his previous whisper, "anyways, they'll never know." He pressed his lips against hers, kissing her tenderly. She kissed back, savouring the taste of his soft lips.
"They'll never approve," she mumbled, taking a break, gasping for air.
"Maybe I do," she said unconvincingly, succumbing to his almost hyponotic power.
"Do you now?" he kissed her again, this time she resisted.
Pretty girl is suffering
He pulled away, looking mournful, his mop of blonde hair a mess. His pale blue eyes gazed into her brown ones.
"I thought you were different." he said hoarsely, "damn it Rose, I never took you for a coward."
"I'm not," she insisted, "Scorpius, please." Her pleas fell on deaf ears as Scorpius' figure disappeared out the door, his smell lingering in the hollow and poorly ventilated room. The door lingered open, she could hear his footsteps, his angry footsteps growing quieter.
"AHHHH!" Her muffled, aggravated scream filled the entire dungeon. He was right, she was a coward.
She dreamt about him that night. She dreamt about his tender touch, the feeling of his lips. She tried, but she could not erase him from her subconscious.
That morning, she could not think of anything else but him. Her mind would not allow it. Her body would not stop aching for his touch.
She saw him in potions that day. He did not look her way. He made her long for him even more.
Its the way that he makes you feel
“Rose?” Albus Potter, Rose's cousin/best friend asked her at lunchtime, concerned, “are you alright?”
“Of course I am!” Rose snapped, “why wouldn’t I be?” Albus seemed taken aback by this vicious, aggravated Rose. Rose was a sweet girl, Rose was compassionate, caring. Rose Weasley did not snap at people.
“Okay, okay.” Albus threw his hands in the air, “whatever you say.”
“I’m sorry Albus,” Rose said with as much sincerity as she could possibly muster, “I’m just...I’m just not feeling like myself.” Albus nodded sympathetically and asked no more questions.
Scorpius was right, Rose was a coward. She was the worst kind of coward too. The kind that stayed under the wing of their friends, who stayed behind their protectors. And refused to admit it.
“We’re going to be having a Quiddich pre-game party,” Albus (Albus was the seeker on the Gryfindor team) said, quickly changing the subject, “it's going to be really bril. The entire time is going to be there! And you-know-who..." The You-Know-Who Albus was referring to was Rose's former crush, Jake Corner. Rose groaned and made a mental note to never confide in Albus again. Especially concerning boys.
“I’m sorry, Albus,” Rose said, feigning apologetic, “I can’t. I’m probably going to go to bed early.” It was a lie. Rose would not be going to bed, she would be far from going to bed, but no way could she tell Albus that.
“Suit yourself.” Albus tried to mask his obvious disappointment, “maybe next time.”
“Maybe.” Rose managed to plaster on a slight smile. It wasn’t very convincing, Rose knew, but Albus didn’t say anything.
It's the way that he kisses you
That night, Rose’s footsteps echoed gingerly down the halls of Hogwarts, her entire body shook as she found her way through the dark of the night, not daring to bring a lamp. She found her way to the same dungeons, and sat herself on the same desk. She waited for the door to open. He had roped her in his web of desire, of lust and there was no way she could get out. Not now, maybe not ever.
Maybe it was a good thing.
It’s the way that he makes you fall in love
