Seize the day or die regretting the time we lost
It's empty and cold without you here, too many people to ache over....

Harry Potter laid in his bed, looking up at the magicked starry sky the sleeping body next to him conjured to help him fall asleep. It usually helped, but not tonight. In just minor minutes he was to be eighteen; the war would be starting in just five minutes. She would wake up, she would cry and beg him not to go, just like she promised not to do, but she would do it anyway. Why did she have to be so arrogant about him? Guess it was just a matter of how much she loved him.

'Three minutes,' Harry muttered and rubbed over his prickling scar. He counted the seconds, they were coming too quickly, his soulmate's breaths were precious to him, he moved closer to her and kissed the back of her neck. 'Two minutes.' He gripped her closer to him and let hot tears slide down his cheeks, she didn't deserve this. Why did Ron have to cheat on her? '45...' She stired a bit and rolled over and put her head onto his chest. '30...29...28...27...26...25...'

"Harry...?" She yawned.

"Go back to sleep," He ordered calmly, '10...9...8...'

"Your heart, it's beating awfully quickly." Hermione Granger said now fully awake.

"And you're so pale, what is the matter? Do you feel sick?" Harry couldn't help but nod, of course he did! "Well, why?" She asked.

'Have you gone crazy?!' He screamed inside his brain, but before he could tell her a ferocious bang ran through the air.

"No..." Hermione looked at him worriedly as a pale green glow covered the half of his face closest to the window. Hermione looked outside at the freshly planted Dark Mark glowing over the town of Hogsmeade, school of Hogwarts, the Burrow. It was truely a magnificent sight to behold, but a terrible one as well. It had to take over a thousand Death Eaters to conjure up a Dark Mark that stretched thousands of miles in length. Hermione turned back to Harry whom had beads of tears down his cheeks.

I see my vision burn, I feel my memories fade with time
But I'm too young to worry
These streets we traveled on will undergo our same lost past

"Hermione," He started as he stood to pull the curtains on their one room apartment. "You know what you have to do," he dropped his voice so only Hermione, having knowledge of what he was talking about and knowing his lip's movement would know. "We floo to the Grimmauld place, you, Ginny, Lavender, Luna, and Cho have to hide. The 'Charmed Room' Dumbledore spent his time in; no one can get in."

"Harry, I've been trainned just as you have," She protested, slamming her fists onto the sheets resting between them.

"You promised you wouldn't be this way," Harry sighed disappointed. "You know why, of all people, you can't."

"Why not?!" She glared at him with daggers for eyes. He placed a palm on her stomach and rubbed back and forth. 'How did he know?!' She wondered.

"I know you've been late the last week," Harry smiled sheepishly.

"How do you know?" Hermione asked.

"You haven't been well," He thought for a second placing his index finger on his
lips and tapping lightly.

"....Yeah...." He smirked and shrugged his 'you-said-it-not-me' shrug.

"It may just be stress." She said.

"Or it may be the miracle child the world will need." Harry smiled and kissed her lips passionately.

"But, you could kill him."

"But I may just be able to weaken him. This baby, our baby, will be able to stop him."

"Promise you will be back."

"I can't."

I found you here, now please just stay for a while
I can move on with you around
I hand you my mortal life, but will it be forever?
I'd do anything for a smile, holding you 'til our time is done
We both know the day will come, but I don't want to leave you

"For time's sake." Hermione smiled and brought out a vanilla cake, card, and neatly wrapped present. She watched his eyes light up with joy as he sat down for his birthday cake breakfast. She stood behind him and rubbed his shoulders, how she loved him.

Harry took out the card, and listened to the Hogwart's Song play and picture of himself and Hermione in their first year: talking in the courtyard before the Halloween Dinner. Second year when Hermione lay in the hospital wing, pertrified. Third year, at Hogsmeade when Harry was having a meltdown finding out the lie that Sirius had killed his parents and Hermione was hugging him and telling him it would be all right. Fourth year when she kissed after the second challenge in the Tri-Wizard Tournament. Fifth year at the D.A picture. Sixth year when he told her and Ron to stay there as he went off with Dumbledore.

"What's this?" Harry asked as the picture changed once more. An overwhelming smile pushed from his lips and he looked up. The picture was of a pregnancy test reading 'Pregnant'. He leaped up and hugged her hard. She couldn't help but drenching his shoulder with her tears. "You're amazing." He smiled and kissed her lips again then looked her deep in the eyes and ran a finger through her curls. She picked up the present and put it into his hands. It was lightish, but he knew he wouldn't be disappointed.

After carefully tearing the paper off and opening the box he revealed a Dragon-Hide cloak. "It's to keep you safe in the battle. It's strong, so most spells will not hit you. Please remember to wear the hood, keep your head safe!" She begged and threw her hands over his neck.

"Grimmauld place." The green flame enguffled them both and they swirled down the crossing fireplaces.

"Hermione!" Luna exclaimmed as she stood from her calmness of the library.

"Luna!" The two girls hugged as Harry traveled into the kitchen sitting his stuff down and meeting his friends: Ronald Weasley, Seamus Finnigan, Dean Thomas, Fred and George Weasley, Oliver Wood, Neville Longbottom, and a few he knew through a mutual friendship.

"Listen up everyone!" Harry commanded as he slammed a fist down on the kitchen table, making it ring out through the metal of the pots and pans of the room. "I know you are all scared, nervous, and looking to prove yourself. You will, dead or alive. Ron is leading Seamus and Neville through the rear end behind the Forbidden Forest. Oliver, you, Fred, and Colin are going from the East. Ten Aurors are heading in from the West. George, Dean! You two are coming with me from the front.

"All of the teams will have five other Aurors aiding them as well. Get to your positions. Say your goodbyes. We leave at the peak of four A.M." He moved out and to Hermione, seeing her sob in a chair with Luna patting her back and rubbing her shoulders lovingly.

"I hope you can calm her down." Luna whispered and hurried off to find Seamus.

"Shh, shh." Harry took her in his arms and kiss her forehead.

Don't wanna die alone without you here
Please tell me what we have is real

"You have to be strong, sweetheart." Harry told her and looked up at the clock. Only thirty minutes. He was ready, his dozen of amulets Hermione was forcing him to wear hanging from his neck, the cloak around his back, his wand in his pocket, his poison in the other. He felt her shake and get even closer.

"What if you don't come back?" Hermione said.

"All my fortune, everything I've ever had is yours. There's even some hidden special for you and the baby, if I do die, you'll know exactly where that is. I'll make sure of it!" He promised.

"I love you." She whispered.

"I love you too." He stood, leaving her in the armchair.

"It's not time to leave yet." She protested, her breaths becoming hot and quick again.

"I know." Harry smiled and reached into his pocket for a small, black velvet box. He got down on one knee and beamed at her as he snapped open the box to reveal a purple diamond twinkling up at her. Her eyes became saucers as she looked over it's flawless condition and pure color. "Hermione Granger...would you marry me?" She went silent and tears of happiness overthrew her tears of sadness.

"Of course!" She stood up and hugged him hard once again.

So what if I never hold you, yeah, or kiss your lips again? Whooooah
So I never want to leave you and the memories of you and me
I beg don't leave me

"I have to go," Harry said as it was just minutes away.

"Kick his ass for me." Hermione smiled and kissed his lips deeply. He returned the kiss and squeezed her tightly to him.

"I love you," She repeated.

"I love you too," Harry promised her, "Be safe." He pulled away and to the front of the team. He gave her a final look and smiled to her, reminding her it would be okay. He pulled the hood over his head and caught the kiss she blew him and pretended to put it his pocket. Little did he know, that he actually did put the kiss and her heart into that pocket.

Silence, you lost me-- no chance for one more day
Silence, you lost me-- no chance for one more day
I stand here alone
Falling away from you, no chance to get back home
