Ginny felt the air whoosh out of her lungs as her back collided with her front door, but she did little to fight it as she felt Harry slowly make a trail of kisses along her collarbone. She wasn’t quite sure how she had gotten from the bar to this point, but she hardly cared as he moved his body closer, sandwiching her against the door and himself. She vaguely remembered Hermione assuring her that they would take care of Eloise tonight, and she sighed with relief as her fingers instinctively grasped the hair on his nape, her daughter definitely didn’t need to witness this.

“Are we going inside, or did you want to continue this in front of all of your neighbors Gin?” Harry asked huskily as he lightly nipped the sensitive patch of skin underneath her ear. Ginny couldn’t even respond as her body moved of its own free will, trying to get closer to him in any way possible. “Keys, do you have them Ginny?” he pressed further, knowing that if he didn’t get her inside soon, he wouldn’t be held responsible for what he did.

Ginny felt him pull away and she looked at him with eyes clouded with desire, slowly biting her lip as she tried to remember where her keys were. Harry watched her every moment, his pulse racing as he watched the expression on her face, before his eyes trailed down to watch her teeth catch her lip in a painfully seductive way. He inwardly groaned, she was driving him absolutely mad and he couldn’t possibly wait another second to get her inside.

“Screw it,” he said forcefully as he pulled her away from the door and pulled his wand out of his pocket, aiming it at the door. Seconds later the door was blasted open and Ginny stared in shock at her apartment door that now was barely hanging on by the hinges. Neither of them moved for a moment, the sound of the blast casting a sobering feel over the both of them, making the consequences of what they had been about to do all to real. Suddenly it was easy to remember that Harry was still with Cho, and that they had barely seen each other in sixteen years.

Harry looked over at Ginny, not quite sure where to go from here, not quite sure if she wanted to continue considering their current situation. He was about to awkwardly ask her what she wanted when he felt her roughly grasp his collar and pull him towards her once again. Suddenly her arms were around his neck, and her ample curves were molding seamlessly to his body. He felt his own arm wrap around her waist of its own accord as she pressed her lips to his, slowly deepening the kiss as her tongue sought entrance into his mouth. He needed little encouragement after that as he slowly shuffled them into her apartment, attempting to close the broken door behind them.

After a brief wrestling match with the door and Ginny’s insistent pleas for him to just do it already, Harry finally got the door closed, although it would need to be fixed in the morning. Almost as soon as he had the door closed, Ginny was there, this time using her own body to press him up against the door as she began to unbutton his shirt, and Harry groaned as she moved her hips against his slowly.

“Sweet mother of Merlin,” he exclaimed as he moved his lips against hers and thrust his hands into her long ginger locks. “Your door will not be able to withstand much more of this.”

“Good thing I don’t plan on taking you against this door than isn’t it?” came Ginny’s breathy reply as she began to unhurriedly inch away from him. As she finally escaped his hold she began to inch off her shirt, taking her time, her eyes locked with his as her shirt finally came off and hit the floor. Kicking off her shoes, she slowly made her way to the bedroom, her hips swaying provocatively as he watched her disappear into one of the bedrooms. Not sure if he should follow, and slightly stunned by what Ginny was doing, Harry waited, his back still pressed against her broken front door. A mere moment later her head appeared in the door and she smiled coyly at him.

“Are you going to come willing or am I going to have to drag you in here?” she asked from the doorway, her eyes twinkling before her head disappeared, and the pants she had been wearing came sailing out of the bedroom door and landed on the floor in the hallway.

Ginny was lying on the bed, the moments ticking away slowly as she waited with bated breath for Harry to join her, still not quite sure if she was doing the right thing. She knew that she should have sent him away, should have never let herself kiss him in the pub, but for the first time in sixteen years, she didn’t feel like part of her was missing, because he was here, with her, and physically, she needed him.

Her stomach twisted nervously as she heard his footsteps crossing the apartment, and her breath caught in her throat. She knew that she shouldn’t be feeling like a virginal teenager, but something about Harry made her feel that way, not to mention that she didn’t exactly have much experience with this sort of thing. There had been a few hurried encounters here and there, but having a child had made having any sort of regular physical relationship complicated and unfeasible for Ginny. Which is why she most likely was feeling as nervous as she had been that first night, the night that had resulted in Eloise.

She couldn’t lie to herself, there was definitely some hesitation about letting Harry into her bed. It wasn’t just that by being with Harry tonight she was letting herself become “the other woman”, but also that the last time this had happened, she had certainly paid the price. The consequences of her actions all those years ago had certainly been steep, but she had never regretted having Eloise, ever. Ginny knew she could have easily told Harry no tonight, she could have sent him home, and he wouldn’t have caused a scene, but Ginny was tired of doing what she thought was the right thing. She was tired of doing things because it made life easier for everyone else, tired of trying to protect everybody else. Tonight she wanted one thing, and she didn’t care if it was right for her, all she wanted was Harry, and she was bound and determined to get him.

He appeared in the doorway, his eyes darkened with desire as he slowly let his eyes trail down her body, taking in the image of her laying across the bed in her undergarments. She watched him hesitate and for a moment she thought he was going to walk right back out of the room, but in the end all he did was reach down and remove his shoes, watching her with an unreadable expression the entire time. Ginny was perfectly aware that Harry could carry off this entire seduction by himself, but she also knew that tonight she wanted to be in charge.

Standing up she joined him at the foot of the bed where she helped him remove his clothing, as it haphazardly hit the floor in tiny piles, before she pushed him down on the bed, her red hair brushing against his naked chest. She quickly joined him on the mattress as she gently kissed him, her hands running across the muscles in his shoulder and back as she explored the planes of his body. The cool air of the bedroom wafted through the room closing on their heated bodies. Ginny gave into every sensation he was provoking as his roughened hands flowed over her silky skin, and she clung to him as he drew her close, and moved on top of her. He looked deep in her eyes the entire time, as they joined together, as they moved together as one.

Shortly thereafter they lay together on the bed in a comfortable silence. At one point Ginny threw a blanket over the two of them, and rested her head on his chest, as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders and gently kissed her forehead. For one brief moment it seemed like time had never passed, that they were still love-struck teenagers who had snuck off to the room of requirement and ventured into a very adult game. The harsh reality was that nothing had truly changed though, and come tomorrow they both had consequences to face. For right now though, none of that mattered, and as Ginny closed her eyes and moved her body closer to Harry’s she sighed happily. She drifted off into a peaceful sleep, the most peaceful sleep she had experienced since she had been seventeen years old.

An incessant knocking coming from the front door is what ultimately woke Ginny the following morning. Worried that it was news about Eloise, Ginny quickly slipped out of bed and grabbing one of her bathrobes quickly made her way to the front door, leaving a slumbering Harry behind. Anxiously she opened the front door, forgetting that it was broken and almost getting clobbered by the damn thing as narrowly missed her cheekbone, barely hanging on by those hinges. Slowly she eased the door out of the way to find someone completely unexpected standing in the doorway. Shuffling in front of the opening to the door so the visitor couldn’t see inside Ginny gave them a fake smile and refrained from glancing at her bedroom nervously.

“What brings you here today?” she asked in her most casual voice, hoping this was some sort of quick visit that would not require anybody to set a foot inside her home.

“Mum asked me to drop by and make sure you were doing alright considering everything going on with Potter, do you feel all right Ginny?” Bill asked from his spot outside as he watched her blush. He knew that Ginny liked her privacy, but this was downright ridiculous, it was almost as if she didn’t want to invite him inside for even a minute. “Ginny, can I please come in?”

“Come in?” Ginny asked in a squeaky voice, her eyes wide as she tried to figure out a way to keep him outside. “I don’t quite understand what you mean,” she finished lamely.

“Usually when your older brother comes to visit you invite him inside for a cup of tea or some cookies or even some water Ginny,” Bill commented with a raised eyebrow. “So why don’t you move aside and let me in,” he continued, as he used he pushed his way through the doorway finally, not giving her a choice in the matter.

“Right,” Ginny answered as she looked around warily, hoping Bill would notice her shirt in the middle of the floor or her almost completely ruined front door. “Well, can I get you something before you leave?”

“What’s gotten into you?” Bill asked with a concerned look. “Are you feeling alright Ginny? Where’s Eloise? I haven’t seen her in forever, I was hoping to say hello.”

It was at that precise moment that Harry decided to venture out from the bedroom wearing only his pants and Ginny groaned, it seemed Harry had impeccable timing. She watched in horror as Bill did a double take on Harry before turning to her with a look of disbelief. It was apparent that Bill wasn’t quite sure who he should be more upset with, her or Harry. In the end his anger for Harry won out as he stormed across the room until he reached a startled Harry and punched him in the face. Ginny let out a small shriek as he saw Bill’s fist connect with Harry’s face, and she ran to his side, but not before she slapped before Bill on the back of the head.

“What in the hell was that for?” Ginny yelled at Bill as she helped Harry to his feet.

“I’ve been wanting to do that for sixteen years Ginny,” Bill said frankly with a hardened expression. “I guess I win that pot of money we all have been saving for the first person to punch Harry for what he did to you, Dad’s going to be so disappointed, I know deep down he wanted to win.”

Cho was sitting in the same spot she had been sitting at since last night when she had arrived home from the pub. She had been furious about the way Harry had treated her in front of the Weasley’s and had decided that Harry needed to be reminded of exactly who had stuck by him through everything. Not quite sure when he would home, she had taken a seat on one of the fluffy chairs in the entrance hall and waited for him to arrive home. Slowly the time had ticked by, hours had passed, and yet Harry still hadn’t arrived home. Dusk quickly turned to dawn and Cho could feel her temper rising, she knew exactly where Harry had spent the night, or who he had spent the night with to be more accurate.

There was no doubt in her mind that she was quickly losing everything she had spent so many years making sure was hers. It wasn’t fair that in one week it could all be falling away so quickly, and she would be dammed if she let Ginny Weasley win Harry Potter back. Harry had loved her first, he had wanted her before he had even known Ginny was alive, he just didn’t realize yet that he didn’t belong with Ginny, he belonged with Cho, he always had. Things were getting desperate though and desperate times called for desperate measures.

Picking up a piece of parchment and a quill she began to put the wheels into motion that would ensure that Harry would stay with her forever. In the long run he would thank her for saving him from that Weasley clan, especially that Ginny and Eloise. Harry didn’t need anybody else in his life, especially a daughter, he had Cho, and that was going to be enough for him.

“Are you positive that you’re alright?” Ginny asked Harry in a concerned tone as she pressed some ice against his face. She still couldn’t believe that Bill had punched Harry in the face, and if that weren’t enough, when she had left the room to get ice, Bill had punched him again on the other side of the face. It was after that that Ginny had kicked him out of her apartment and told them that until he learned how to treat guests in her home, he wouldn’t be invited back.

“I’m fine Ginny,” Harry reassured her, although he certainly felt like his face had been clobbered by a stack of bricks. “Actually, I think we should discuss some things while I’m here.”

“What sort of things?” Ginny asked absentmindedly as she held the ice on his face.

“Well, for starters, Eloise, what we plan on doing about her,” Harry said, a frown crossing his face at Ginny’s casual attitude over the entire matter.

“I don’t know that there is anything to discuss Harry,” she replied calmly. “Eloise lives with me during the summer and goes to Hogwarts during the school year. You can certainly schedule a few weekends with her though.”

“Maybe I want more than the weekend Gin,” Harry stated simply. “Maybe I want her for a few weeks, even a month.”

“I suppose we could try and work something out, but a vast majority of this will depend on what she wants Harry, not what you want,” Ginny answered firmly, effectively ending their discussion about Eloise. “Was there anything else you had on your mind?”

“Damn straight there is Ginny,” Harry practically growled, thoroughly irritated by her behavior. “What about us, what do we do know Gin?”

“There is no us Harry,” Ginny stated firmly. “There’s you and there is me, and we share a daughter, that doesn’t mean we have to share our entire lives Harry.”

“I assumed that last night meant something to you Ginny,” Harry said carefully, unsure of how to ask her this particular question. “Did last night mean anything at all to you Ginny, in regards to us?”

Ginny felt her pulse quicken as she looked over at Harry, not quite sure how she wanted to answer. In the end she did the only thing she knew how to do, she took the easy road out and protected herself from the heartbreak that was bound to occur if she told Harry exactly how much last night meant to her.

“I’m sorry Harry, last night was purely physical, it didn’t mean anything to me at all, and to be completely honest, it never will.”
