After they left St. Mungos, Ron and Riley took the night bus back to Ron’s house. School was almost over and it was the Saturday before Summer Holiday so they figured they’d return on Sunday to finish their exams. They walked to Ron’s room happily holding hands and one another closely. “You know. We are old enough to get our own place.” Said Ron.
“Yeah, we are. Do you think we should, I mean we’ve been together for a little over a year now.”
“I do, but I want to give you something first.” He took out a small delicately wrapped box and handed it to Riley. She opened it and gasped when she saw a beautiful sparkling ring with a ruby heart and the engraving I Promise… on it. Ron cupped her hands in his saying, “Riley Jean Riddle. I promise that one day soon I will buy you the most beautiful ring you have ever seen and ask you to marry me and make you the happiest woman in both worlds.” Riley smiled with glee as she hugged him and gave him a kiss on the cheek. “I already am the happiest woman in both worlds and this ring is the most beautiful ring I’ve ever seen. I would marry you even if you didn’t ask. I love you Ron. I always have and I always will.” He picked her up and spun her around, kissing her softly as he did.
As they lay in bed later that night Riley asked, “Do you want kids?” Ron sat up slightly as did Riley. “Of course. I grew up with a big family. I don’t necessarily want one as big but, yeah, I’d like kids.” Riley smiled sweetly and kissed him. She raised his hand to her chest before she said, “Good, let’s get started?” He smiled an incredibly sexy smile and kissed her luxuriously. Her head clouded and her nerves went crazy with every touch as this momentous experience devoured them both.
The following morning Ron awoke to the glorious smell of bacon cooking and the sound of eggs sizzling in the frying pan and there Riley stood, brewing coffee and flipping warm buttermilk pancakes. “Wow.” Ron whispered to himself as he walked up behind her. “You look so sexy when you’re cooking.”
“Why thank you Ronald. Would you like some eggs?”
“Yes I would.” He sat in his chair. “You were amazing last night.” She smiled sweetly and scooped some eggs on his plate. “You’re too sweet.”
“No, I just am insanely honest.”
“Then it’s a good thing I’m with you, isn’t it. Because I can be a naughty little girl and my mouth doesn’t always say the truth.”
“Should I be worried or intrigued?”
“Honey, you can be whatever it is you want to be, just so long as I can have you morning, afternoon and at night, every minute, every breath. I’m crazy about you Ron. Nothing is ever going to change that.”
“Since we’re both on the same page, let’s get married.”
“Are you proposing to me Ronald Weasley?”
“Yes, ma’am I am.”
A few weeks after the wedding, Riley and Ron had some incredible news. Riley was due to have a child, a baby girl, soon to be named Lily.
