Chapter 5
The Day After
Happy Reading!

"Julie. Julie!" Aralyn shook Juliet awake late on a sunday morning.

"Ugh, what do you want?" she moaned.

"I want to talk to you!" squealed Aralyn. "Last night was amazing! I pulled off the party of the year, and we didn't get caught! Everyone's talking about it. If you hadn't already missed breakfast, you would have known."

"That's wonderful, now let me sleep." sighed Juliet.

"Seem's like everyone had fun, but what happened with Scott? He was looking for you today." she smirked and brushed a strand of blonde hair from her face.

Juliet sat up immediately with the thought of Scott. "Oh, damn it." she whispered.

"What?" questioned Aralyn. "I thought thing's between you were starting to heat up."

"Yeah, til I gave him the cheek." she sighed.

"You mean he tried to kiss you?" asked Aralyn, wide eyed.

Juliet nodded.

"Than why didn't you let him?!" she shouted.

Juliet thought about her answer. She wanted to confide in Aralyn, but she knew Aralyn would never in a million years support her crush on a Malfoy. But he did have amazing blue eyes, and beach like blonde hair and was so attractive...

"Julie?" Aralyn waved her hand in front of Juliet's face.

"Wha? Oh, I...it just wasn't the right moment. Im new to this, I wasn't ready." she lied.

"Well get a right moment, because all the girls were staring at you two! He won't be single for long, Julie." sighed Aralyn.

"I know, I know. I just have to think about it..." Juliet said, rubbing her eyes.

"What's there to think about? He's nice, cute, and likes you. That's perfect." Aralyn sat on the bed next to Juliet and slipped on her shoes.

"I-I," Juliet began, trying to find words. What she wanted to say was, I met the guy of my dreams, and he's a Malfoy. That's why. Scott pales in comparison. "I don't know. I don't know if Im ready to have a relationship." she lied.

"Whatever..." Aralyn shrugged and hopped off the bed. "Come down to the common room once you get your lazy arse out of bed!" she called and skipped from the room, blonde waves bouncing behind her.

Juliet sighed again. She wanted to go to Troy so very badly, but she knew if she set foot near him in plain sight without hurling a curse at him, her family and house would be shellshocked. And what would she say to him? Nice kissing you last night? Sorry for running away? Well, that wasn't going to cut it. Than there was Scott. Seemingly perfect Scott, who liked her. The first boy who really liked her. She wanted to like him, and she did. But she felt differently about Troy. She felt sparks. She felt attraction. She felt right.

But she had to avoid Troy. She had to stay as far away from him as possible and she had to just erase him from her mind. It was just in the heat of them moment, not like anything could ever happen from it. Not like anyone in either of their families would let it happen. So, she made a plan. She would find Scott, tell him she really did like him, and avoid Troy at all costs.

Shaking these conflicting thoughts from her head, she rose onto her feet and got ready to face the student body who were buzzing about her.

Troy sighed from his place outside the Gryffindor Portrait hole. He sat as far from it as he could, resting against the stone wall that was secluded from view yet every student would have to pass by it. He had been wating there since breakfast when he hadn't seen Juliet at her table.

Juliet was the only thing that had been in his head since last night. How beautiful she was, how her eyes sparkled, how her body moved, how her hair bounced, everything about her. He was determined to talk to her again, no matter how much his house dissaproved, no matter how much anyone dissaproved. Not that he was going to tell them, or anything. He told Albany he was going to meet a hot Ravenclaw he met at the party last night.

Troy saw a petite figure step out from the protrait hole and he craned his neck. It was her. He jumped from his feet and cautiously moved closer, hoping not to attract a lot of attention.

"Juliet!" he called, before he saw another boy standing next to her.

Juliet looked at Troy first smiling, and her smile soon turned to a face of shock.

"Who's he?" asked Scott who was to close to Juliet for Troy's liking.

"He's uh...my partner for a project in Herbology. I forgot, I had to ask him something about it." she quickly lied.

"Alright," Scott smiled. "Go talk to him. I'll met you outside." Scott smiled again and walked out of the corridor. Juliet took a deep breath and looked at Troy, who was gazing upon her intently. He froze when he saw her talking to another guy. She nodded slightly and he came forward to her.

"So, that's the guy you were dancing with last night." he said offhandedly.
"Wha-yes. Yes, thats him." Juliet said, now fidgeting.

"You like him?" he asked, searching her face which held a golden summers tan.
Juliet looked taken back. "We barely know each other and your already getting into my personal life?"

"We barely knew each other but we still kissed." Troy retorted.

"Shhh!" Juliet hissed, moving slightly closer to him. "No one can know about that."

"Why not?" Troy asked, feeling a bit hurt. "Im not good enough for you?"

"Hold on a minute! Firstly, I don't know you. How could we even go further if I don't know anything about you? And your a, a Malfoy! A Slytherin! We do not mix! Last night, I don't know what happened, I never act like that, but it wasn't right." she shook her head.

"I know exactly what happened." he took a step closer. "It was love. And what says we don't mix? Our parent's? They don't make our desicions, we do. Besides, I know my father and mother are complete idiots."

"Love? Love doesn't spring up in a day, Troy. And it just isn't possible. We hate each other. I hate you, Troy. Im supposed to hate you, and you are supposed to hate me. That's just it." she crossed her arms over her chest and looked at her feet.

Troy gently took his hand and placed it under her chin, rising it to his face. "Can you honestly say you hate this?" He delicately brought his lips upon hers, pressing against her sweetly.

Juliet felt her body tension melt, and felt his warm lips to be absoulutely thrilling. Scott's touch was nice...but Troy's touch was amazing. Like fire. But it was forbidden.

Juliet pulled away from him as soon as she realized what she was doing. "Mm-Troy." she breathed. "We can't. I can't. Just stop."

"Stop refusing what you want!" Troy pleaded.

"No. Just leave me alone, Troy. I was doing just fine till you got here." Juliet demanded and turned on her heel, running from the corridor.

Troy stood dumbfounded. He felt his heart thud sadly, knowing the feeling of rejection all to well. It was like a dull ache that wouldn't leave his heart, a constant reminder that no one ever returned the love he gave out.

But he saw a glimmer of hope. He knew Juliet liked him, he was positive, just by the look in her sparkling green eyes. He would just have to win her over, somehow. Somehow.
