I walked down the 3rd floor corridor, smiling to myself. I couldn’t believe that only a few hours into the near future and I’d be on my first date… with a famous person! Who actually asked me out. Me, as the ugly, bushy-haired bookworm who hangs out with the Boy-Who-Lived, becomes a Walking Talking Textbook and has no life. I have been asked out by Viktor Krum.
There was a whump! as I run into a figure. Parvati Patil… and her sister Padma. Should’ve guessed. Suddenly, they each grabbed an arm and started dragging me towards the common room.
‘We’ve been looking for you everywhere!’ they said in unison.
‘Why?’ I was suddenly a little conscious. I didn’t trust any twins… let alone these ones.
‘Lavender.’ This was suffice. Oh no! They are going to-. But-. I sputter in my head, wishing I could do it aloud.
‘Bu-bu-bu. Bu?’ One of the twins (it was hard to tell who) hit me over the head and the two picked up speed. They dragged me into my own dormitory, bound my hands behind my back with a spell and twirled me around to face Lavender and Ginny. My mouth dropped six miles down when I saw Ginny. Ginny? My friend Ginny?
‘Hello Hermione. We are here to make you beautiful.’ I shook my head abruptly, but it was no use. They pushed me down into a chair and picked up a tube of lipstick, a wand and several other torturous instruments. They picked up my renovated gown. I pouted and sighed. This would take a while.

I smiled nervously at the crowd around me, making my grand entrance. Finally, I was the Belle of the Ball. I saw several people look at me, before Viktor took my hand. It was time to dance.
I stepped with him, perfectly in time. It was such a magical feeling, I could dance. I let my feelings out as I spun, twirled and pointčd, dipped and slid and just glided along the floor. There wasn’t one guy whose eyes didn’t look at me jealously. Finally, I had to catch my breath. I fell onto Viktor, blushed and regained my balance. I told him I wanted to be by myself for a while, to start breathing again. He nodded and told me to find him when I was ready.
I took a walk in the moonlight, the moon shining… it was special, amazing and I could feel it rising within me.
‘Mudblood? Is that you?’ I turned around. Malfoy, of course. I rolled my eyes.
‘I’ll choose not to answer that.’
‘You should dress like… this… more often.’ He said, making gestures.
‘Get a life, Ferret.’ His face twisted into a smirk.
‘Granger, in this world, you live or die. Simple. Live respectfully or you will die. It’s the circle of life.’ I slapped him across the cheek. The very soft cheek, which felt so fragile against my hand. I snapped out of it and gave a little smirk of my own.
‘Malfoy, not even you can ruin my night tonight.’ He rubbed his cheek pathetically.
‘Fiesty… you are a changed woman, Granger.’ He noticed I was a woman? He was the first person, besides Viktor, of course, to notice which gender I had been born.
‘Don’t test me, Malfoy.’ He laughed. A small swirl went through my stomach, knocking everything out of the way. It was nothing, probably just the pumpkin soup I’d drank earlier.
‘I’d rather not.’ He was so smarmy it was unbelievable. I went to slap him again, but he grabbed it just in time, holding it and pulling me towards him.
‘But then again…’ he bent forwards and kissed me. It was so amazing, a beautiful feeling as his cool lips refreshed my own. I deepened it. Before awakening to what I was doing and withdrawing.
‘What did you do that for?’ I asked, shocked.
‘I was testing you.’ I kissed him back…
‘Now the joke’s on you. I just tested you.’
He smiled at me, then left. I went back inside to find Viktor.
I wonder what will happen next... we'll have to see...
A/N- Maybe I’ll continue it, as a trilogy of one shots, maybe I won’t. Review and tell me what you think.
