Sarah just made it to first period before the bell. She was breathing heavier than usual. She reached for her wrist and rubbed the area in which he had ripped off her bracelet. She sighed quietly and shrugged to herself. She knew she’d get her bracelet back somehow. She just needed a plan. Her classes passed by in a blur and lunch had finally come. She decided to skip eating and just go up to the dorm rooms and take a quick nap. She made her way up the stairs and stumbled onto her bed. She quickly shut her eyes and drifted off to sleep.
“Hermione you know I would do anything for you.” Draco said as he cupped her face with his hand.
“I know you would, I love you Draco.” She told him becoming teary eyed.
“But if my father finds out you know what he’ll do.” He reminded her.
“I know…but our families will continue throughout the years. I..I put a spell on this bracelet.” Hermione explained as she held out the piece of wrist jewelry.
“What will it do?” He asked.
“Whatever generation gets this…that will the generation that will be a repeat of ours. Only…they’ll do it right. And they’ll get to live happily ever after.” Hermione said letting a few tears fall.
“But what if my father finds out about this?”
“I’m pretty sure he’ll try and sabotage it but he can’t. It’s destiny.” She smiled.
Sarah woke up sweating bullets. She looked around the room. She was no longer in her dorm, but in the infirmary. It was dark outside as she peered out the window. She shook her head and wondered what had happened.
“Some Gryffindor girl found you on the floor.” A voice said from the shadows.
“Who’s there?” She asked.
“Who do you think?” he smirked as he started walking towards her.
“What do you want Malfoy? What are you doing here?” She questioned.
“Hmm…well…I don’t know really.” Tye started. “This bracelet, what does it do?” He asked.
“N-Nothing. Why?” She stammered slightly remembering her dream.
“My Great uncle Lucius, he wanted me to steal it.” He began. “I don’t know why…it’s just a bracelet.”
“Um…well…do the names Draco and Hermione mean anything to you?” She asked.
He quickly pressed his slim slender finger on her mouth to hush her. “Never speak those names out loud. Ever.”
“Why…what did they do?” She asked.
“They betrayed their families…and were killed by my great uncle.” He explained.
“How did he kill them?”
“I can’t really say-.” He was cut off
“Was it the killing curse?” She asked without a second thought.
“How do you know about that?”
“It was wasn’t it? He used it used it didn’t he? Oh no these dreams are real..” she frowned and buried her head in her pillow.
“What dreams are you talking about? And keep your voice down.”
“I’ve been having these dreams…about…those two people.” She said.
“And what happened in them?”
“They didn’t betray anyone they were in love. And your precious great uncle didn’t like that because she wasn’t a full witch.” She said crossing her arms. “And my bracelet is supposed to be sent down…I can’t remember.” She said trying as hard as she could to remember her last dream.
“Well…it must be bad because he wanted me to steal it and destroy it.” Tye said.
“I have to find out why. I’m going to go back to sleep. You get out so I can sleep.”
Tye raised and eyebrow and inched closer to her. “And why must I leave?” he smirked
“Because I don’t trust you in the same room as me with my eyes closed.” She huffed.
“Ugh… Fine. But I’ll be back in the morning.” He sighed.
“Um…Malfoy. Before you leave. What families did they belong to?” She asked.
He brought his mouth close to her ear and whispered, “He was a Malfoy and she was a Granger.” He smirked slightly at her. “Just like us.” He added before he left.
Sarah sighed and closed her eyes hoping for another dream. She quickly fell asleep and began to dream.
“Harry...please you must help me.” Hermione screamed.
“Hermione…Draco’s father is a madman. Not even Dumbledore can stop him now. Finding out about you and Draco really turned him insane.” He explained.
“But what Am I to do?” She asked her friend. “I love him.”
“I know you do…don’t worry if he comes anywhere near you I’ll protect you.” He smiled.
“Oh Harry Potter you’re the best friend a girl can have.” She smiled and hugged him warmly.
Sarah woke up and began to breathe heavy. “Harry Potter?” She asked herself. “Professor Potter?”
She ran to the English classroom. There wasn’t a class in there yet but Professor Potter was. “Professor?” She called as she entered.
“Yes Ms. Um… Ms. Granger.” He said with difficulty to say her last name.
“Sir…your first name it’s Harry?”
“Yes but why on earth do you need to know?” He asked.
“Sir then you knew a Hermione Granger. Didn’t you?” She asked
Harry’s jaw dropped. “I…uh…no. No ma’am I’m sorry. I didn’t. I believe you should talk to Professor Dumbledore.”
“But sir. I know you knew her. Please tell me.” She pleaded
“No… now please leave.” He said pointing his finger at the door.
She began out the door and slowly walked out. She had her head down and wasn’t looking where she was going. She felt an arm grab her from an empty classroom and pull her in. Someone pushed her up against the wall. Not too roughly but not gently either.
“What did you find out?” He asked.
“Tye…what the hell.” She said rather loudly.
“Shut up…now look I went to the infirmary you weren’t there and I went looking around ok? Now…did you find anything out?”
“Yea sort of…she knew Professor Potter. But he’s denying it and he basically forced me out of the classroom when I brought it up.” She explained.
“Anything about the bracelet?” He asked
“No…but I remembered something about her putting a spell on it.” She said trying to remember. “And I can remember…” She began to explain other things but Tye tuned her out slightly. He couldn’t help but just stare at her and take in everything about her. He needed to have her for his own and he didn’t even know why. He began to lightly bite his bottom lip.
“Tye?…Tye! Are you even listening to me?” She asked.
“Oh…yea of course.” He said shaking his head.
“Um…can you let me go a little you still kind of got me pinned to a wall.” She asked.
He shook his head no.
“What do you mean no?!” She said loudly.
He used one hand to keep her pinned to the wall and the other to start moving stray strands of hair from her face.
“Tye…what are you…doing?” She asked.
He ignored her question and bent his head down and lightly pressed his lips against hers. To his surprise she didn’t push him off and smack him or yell at him. If anything she kissed him back. That is until she realized exactly what was happening. She then stopped and pushed him off.
“No...that’s it that’s what the bracelets doing. It’s supposed to be doing this.” She shook her head. “This isn’t real…” She sighed and walked out of the classroom.
The next few days Sarah spent most of her time trying to avoid Tye. When she would see him in hallways she’d run the other way or dash into and empty classroom. But today she wasn’t going to get away and Tye made sure of it. When she ran into an empty room he followed. He locked the door behind him.
“What’s the deal?” He asked.
“No deal at all…I’m going to go to class now…”
“I don’t think so…” He said blocking her. “Now what’s going on with you?”
“The bracelet…it’s supposed to bring another Granger and Malfoy together.” She explained.
“I don’t believe that.” He said. “I don’t like you because of some stupid bracelet ok?”
“Yes you do. It’s what it was supposed to do. And if you don’t mind I don’t want to end up like them. You know dead.” She said.
“Stop it. You’re making excuses. Because your scared.” He said smirking slightly.
“I’m not scared. And the bracelet doesn’t force people to like each other.”
“How would you?”
“I talked to Potter.” H said as his smirk grew. “Ok I threatened him to tell me.”
“And?” She asked
“The bracelet is passed down to the generation that is destined to fall in love.” He said a little above a whisper.
“So it doesn’t…it’s not fake. This…isn’t fake.” She said
“No…the bracelet is just a symbol. To throw off people like my great uncle who thinks taking this away will stop it from happening.” He said moving a little closer to her.
“So...you…really like me?” She asked timidly.
He put his hand on her face and moved her chin up so she could she could look at him. “Yea.” He answered simply. He bent down slightly and kissed her.
