“And that’s why you came running in here?” Myrtle asked.
“Yes.” Annie cried.
“Well your sister is right, you don’t look right.” Myrtle sat on the air in front of her. Annie glared.
“Did I ask?” Annie whimpered.
“No, but you really should go talk to him if you are his son’s godmother.”
“Why, would it make a difference if I did?” Annie asked. “No, I didn’t think so. He lived without me all his life, he doesn’t need me.”
“I’m not talking about Dylan, Anita.” Myrtle whispered. “I’m talking about your brother.”
“He is not my brother.” Annie folded her arms.
“Not by blood.”
“Whatever. I’m leaving.” Annie hissed and slammed the door behind her. She continued walking on, head down only to bump into something, someone rather. She looked up and stared, right into the last person she wanted to see.
“Excuse me then, Draco.” Annie whispered and continued walking.
“Wait, Anita…” Draco called quietly.
“What is it?” Annie spun around, revealing her wet, red eyes.
“Virginia talked to me not to long ago, and-“ Draco said.
“Whatever she said isn’t true.” Annie kept going.
“Please.” Draco said. Annie stopped.
“What?” Annie snapped. He looked unfazed.
“I need a word.” He said in his dignified. Annie raised an eyebrow. He didn’t say anything.
“Well…?” Annie asked.
“Well, I don’t want anyone to overhear.” He said.
“You mean you don’t want to be seen with me.” Annie put her hands on her hips.
“Fine, I’ll say it so the whole school can hear, then.” He smirked. Annie opened the empty classroom door, not even looking away from him.
“Ladies first.” He growled.
“Go right ahead, then.” Annie gave an arrogant smile. He glared and sat on one of the desks casually. “Now what did you want?”
“To talk.” He said.
“Well say it.” Annie raised her eyebrow. There was no answer. “Draco, you are trying my patients.”
“First of all, I apologize for putting you through all those beatings when you were taken from us. You didn’t deserve them. Father made me.”
“Go on.” Annie sat across from him. “Why am I your son’s Godmother? I am not your sister.”
“Yes you are.” He said.
“Am not.” Annie glared. “I’ve gone through this already.”
“You are a Weasley, but you have always been my sister.” Draco looked at a wastebasket.
“Please, I can’t do this anymore.” Annie held her head with her hands. “I can’t live like this anymore.”
“I miss you.” He whispered. Annie stared, wide eyed, but fought to look normal. She stared.
“Because, I had nobody since you left.” He muttered. Annie felt tears forming. She looked away.
“What about Vincent and Gregory?” She asked.
“They couldn’t understand anything if it hit them full force in the face.” He chuckled. Annie wiped a tear away and smiled.
“They always were thick.”
“Just like your twin.” He struggled out of his mouth. “Sorry if you are offended.”
“No, I never really got along with him. He is Dense.” Annie gave a half- smile. “So who is Dylan’s godfather?”
“You really don’t want to know.”
“Oh, yes I do.”
“Oh, no you don’t.”
“You are a moron.” Annie laughed. “Why did you do that?”
“Either that or Goyle.”
“Why not Blaise?” Annie asked.
“He’s a Deatheater.” Draco stated. “I wouldn’t let my son in his hands.”
“And please tell me why on earth you married Pansy.” Annie smiled.
“Mother actually arranged it for me. She said Parkinson was charming.” Draco shrugged. “And I miss Mum too.”
“What was in the photo album?” Annie asked.
“What photo- Oh.” He paused. “I sent it mostly. You know, to apologize.”
“I actually missed you too.” Annie played with her ring. Draco smiled. Not a smirk or a sneer, but a real smile.
“Who is your Fiancé?” He asked. Annie smiled, looking at the ring.
“You don’t want to know.”
“Oh, yes I do.”
“Oh, no you don’t.”
“Tell me.” Draco stared.
“You won’t like him.” Annie sighed. “You never did.”
“Potter?” He growled.
“No.” Annie glared. “Neville.”
“You’re marrying…?” He looked like he was going to burst out of rage, but held back with a, “Anita Longbottom. It has a nice ring to it.”
“Told you, you hated him.” Annie sighed.
“I don’t hate him.” He grinded his teeth slightly. Annie smiled.
“Of course you don’t. You think of him as your best mate, your buddy, your pal-“ Annie laughed as he covered his ears. “Well I love him.” Suddenly, the door sprung open and a group of people toppled over on each other.
“HARRY! RON! GINNY! HERMIONE! YOU WERE SPYING ON ME?” Annie shrieked. “How DARE you!”
“We only heard a little!” Ron blushed as he helped Ginny off her back.
“Up to where?” Annie raised her eyebrow. Harry threw himself at Ron and covered his mouth before he said anything.
“When you talked about Neville.” Ginny blushed.
“Actually, it started when you entered the room.” Ron said. “But sorry, I don’t want you to explode like you did in the Great Hall yesterday.” Annie glared.
“But hey, now you are friends.” Ginny said.
“But wait, why is that a good thing?” Ron glared ad Draco.
“Shut up, Ron.” Annie gritted her teeth.
“Well I hope you a very happy rest of the Reunion, and I console, oops, pardon, Congratulate you on your marriage.” He smirked, which received a slap on the back of his head.
“All guys are Idiots.” Annie sighed, exhausted-like.
“Hey, what about me?” Harry asked, innocently. “What did I do?”
“You covered Ron’s mouth.” Annie smiled. Harry thought about it and nodded, understanding. Annie rolled her eyes.
“Annie, you are an insufferable being!” Came a storming Parvati. “How dare you do that?”
“Do what, exactly?” Annie asked.
“Scream how irresponsible I am in front of everybody? This is a reunion and you put me out like some criminal.” She yelled.
“Please, Parvati. How could you do that to your child?” Annie asked quietly.
“This girl caused my boyfriend to leave me.” She cried forcefully.
“But you are married.” Annie stated. “That makes you a cheater.”
“I was never married to Seamus.” She hissed. “He is just doing me a favor.”
“I don’t believe you, Parvati.” Annie shook her head. “You are so low. This is your Daughter. You have 2 sons, don’t you care?”
“I love my boys. I just can’t handle another child.” She cried.
“Put her up for adoption, then. Don’t hurt her.” Annie pleaded.
“I don’t know any places, Weasley.” She hissed. Annie stared.
“Well then find one.” Annie put her hands on her hips. “Or am I going to have to do that for you?”
“You would?” Parvati stared. “You would help me?”
“I’ll help the Baby.” Annie corrected her. “I’ll notify you as soon as I find a place. But you’d better promise to take good care of her.”
“I will.” She muttered. “Thank you-“
“I don’t need thanks.” Annie spun around and walked up the steps and to the Great Hall to where everyone was getting ready to leave. She sat down at her spot at the Gryffindor table next to Neville and put her head in her hands as a few people began to rush to finish up.
“What is it?” Hermione asked.
“I’ve promised to find an adoption agency for Parvati’s baby.” Annie sighed. “I don’t know what I’ll do.”
“What?” Ginny asked, quietly. “Did you say she is giving up her baby?”
“Yes, why?” Annie asked.
“Luna wants a baby. Her and her muggle husband.” Ginny whispered. “But, well, she can’t.”
“Oh, Ginny, you’re a life saver.” Annie smiled. “Wow that makes everything easier.”
“No, thank you. Luna has been coming over, crying a lot.” Harry smiled.
“It’s a girl, you know.” Annie rested her head on Neville’s shoulder.
“Come over to my house and we can talk to her, I also want to show you the photo album.” Ginny said while getting up. “Well I expect we should get going.”
“I’ll write to you more often.” Hermione said. “I was just to busy before and now I just can’t keep away.”
“You’d better, ‘Mione.” Annie laughed.
“I promise!” Hermione smiled.
Annie and Neville followed Harry and Ginny back to their Cozy house in Oxford. Ginny called for Luna Hammond. Suddenly, a mosey-haired woman peeked her head in the fireplace.
“What can I do for you, Ginny?” She asked dreamily. “Ohh, are you having a party? I absolutely love parties.”
“No party, but my sister would like a word with you.” Ginny smiled.
“I’ll get Brucie to stir the Gelatin cookies.” Luna’s head disappeared.
“Gelatin… er… Cookies?” Annie asked.
“They are really good.” Ginny smiled. “Really.” Luna’s head appeared again.
“You might want to stand back; I have never been that good at floo.” Luna smiled and she disappeared, only to be spat out of the fireplace and head first into the wall. “Oww…”
Harry quickly helped her to her feet and she wiped an apron off, little green blobs covering it.
“What can I do for you then?” Luna asked.
“You may want to sit, then.” Ginny gave a small smile and Luna looked at her curiously.
“If this is about me sending a Crumple-Horned Snorkack foot, I’m sorry. I didn’t know it would scratch…” Luna thought, scratching her chin.
“No, its not that.” Ginny lead her to a couch and smiled. “You remember my sister, Anita.”
“Hey, I thought she died.” She inspected Annie, who stared. “Well yeah, I remember her.”
“Hey, Umm…” Annie said, still staring. “Well I don’t know if I should say this out front.”
“Go ahead.” Luna smiled.
“Well I have an… Aquaintence at Hogwarts who, well she’s got a baby….”
“So.” Luna turned suddenly dark. “If you’ve come here to tease me, I’m leaving.”
“No, she isn’t, Luna.” Harry said.
“Well she doesn’t want it, and Ginny told me about you…” Annie trailed off. “We were wondering if you wanted to adopt the baby.” Luna stared, open mouthed.
“This isn’t a joke is it?” Luna cried.
“No, from what I heard, the baby is a little girl.” Annie smiled. Luna jumped up and gave Annie a huge hug, so huge, Annie couldn’t breathe. Neville had to peel her away.
“I cant believe it.” Luna cried. “This was better than when I found a Crumple-Horned Snorkack.”
“Should we call Parvati, then?” Ginny asked. Annie nodded. Soon, a woman apperated into the room.
“Who is this Luna again?” She asked. Luna quickly stuck her hand up high. Parvati raised an eyebrow. “Right.”
“How far along are you?” Luna asked, excitedly.
“Nearly nine.” Parvati stated.
“Any day I could be a Mummy!” Luna gave a happy yell.
“Congratulations.” Parvati stared.
Annie went home right away and slept the rest of the day off, Neville still had to go with a meeting with his boss so Annie spent the day alone. That was until someone rang her muggle doorbell. She lazily got out of bed and put on her off-white robe and opened the door.
“How on earth did you know I lived here?” Annie asked, hands on her hips as she stared at the visitor at the door.
“It’s not that hard when you work at the ministry.” He said.
“Right. Well come on in, Neville is at work.” Annie opened the door fully and let Draco in. “So what did you need?” he shrugged.
“Is there a problem with visiting your sister?” He asked.
“If I was your sister, then Ron would be your brother and Harry would be your brother-in-law, and so would Neville.” Annie yawned.
“Ick.” He muttered.
“Whatever.” Annie muttered. Draco stared at the room.
“What are those?” He asked, pointing. Annie looked.
“That’s a Computer, and that is a Television.” Annie said. He still looked confused. “They’re muggle.”
“Oh.” He said. “So, what do you do?”
“I work in the Improper Use of Magic Department in the Ministry.” Annie stated. “And I volunteer to make healing potions more presentable.”
“So that’s what you used on my son.” He said.
“Its Phoenix Tears and muggle lotion.” Annie sat on her couch, and flipped on the television.
“MUGGLE lotion?” He asked. “Why?”
“Because. I like it, it soothes the skin and helps keep it healthy.”
“Magic does that also.” He growled.
“It takes away the effect of the Phoenix tears when you do that.” Annie sighed, as if it was the millionth time she said it. “Do you want some popcorn?”
“What is that?” He asked.
“Nevermind, I’ll just make it.” Annie rolled her eyes.
