Hermione couldn’t believe what she saw. The lights had been dimmed and there was a great number of tea light candles all over the room. The fire was roaring away merrily and she heard the song ‘Right kind of Wrong’ by Leanne Rhymes, a muggle artist. Just then Draco walked into the room with two glasses of sparkling diamond champagne (the wizard alternative to our muggle champagne).
“I wanted our first date to be perfect,” Draco said.
Hermione looked at Draco. “It’s beautiful. Interesting choice of song.”
Draco handed her a glass and gave her a peck on the lips. “I felt it was entirely appropriate to our situation. You know how the words go: loving you isn’t really something I should do, shouldn’t want to spend my time with you, I should try to be strong, but baby you’re the right kind of wrong. I couldn’t have said it better myself, even if it’s a muggle song.”
Hermione beamed at him. Ginny was wrong, she hadn’t tamed the devil. He still was. To be honest that is one of the things Hermione realised she loved about him the most, his devilish charm. It was like everything has a forbidden flavour to it. Her world was seems much more exciting and unpredictable now, and she loves it. The boring, predictable Hermione was long gone and replaced with this desire for excitement, for Draco.
Draco took her hand and guided her over to the couch. They sat down and nuzzled against each other.
Draco raised his glass in a toast. “To us” he said as they tapped their glasses.
“To us,” Hermione replied.
She was so happy. She felt so safe in his arms and never wanted to leave him. They finished their glasses. Draco took Hermione’s glass and placed it on the table with his. He looked at her with passionate eyes.
He leaned in to kiss her and she allowed entrance into her mouth straight away. She loved the feeling of his tongue caressing her own. She lay down on the couch and allowed him to lie on top of her. He ran his fingers through her golden locks and down the side of her body until he reached her bottom where he stopped and cupped it. Hermione moaned, it felt so good. She ran her fingers through his blonde hair and up his back. She could feel him pushing against her and couldn’t help but buck back. Draco moaned and whispered ‘Vixen’ into her ear. Hermione liked this pet name and gave him a big squeeze to indicate that. Hermione was enjoying this moment very much but didn’t want to do anything she would regret later. She started to slow down her kisses and Draco got the point. They finally stopped and were both breathing heavily.
“I love you ‘Mione. I always will. Don’t worry, I would never do anything you didn’t want to do.” Draco whispered into her ear.
“Thank you…I love you too. Tonight was definitely the best date I have ever been on. A date with the devil.” She whispered. However, she didn’t realise she had said the last part out loud.
“The devil?” Draco asked.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean it in a bad way I was just …”
“No…I kind of like it. It’s a bit kinky.” He smirked cheekily.
Hermione giggled. “What, you wouldn’t rather something like Drakie Poo?”
Draco gave her a look of mock disgust and playfully pushed her off the couch.
“Oh…didn’t Drakie Poo like that?” Hermione teased as she stood up.
“That’s it!” Draco said as he chased her around the room.
He finally caught her, pinned her against the wall and started attacking her with tickles. Hermione could hardly speak between her breathing and laughing.
“Draco…please…stop…alright…. alright…I give…up!” Draco stoped with a satisfied smirk on his face.
“I love your smile and your laugh,” he said, “It’s like music to my ears.”
Hermione couldn’t help but laugh. “Careful Draco, people might think you are getting a bit soft.”
“Only for you.” He said sincerely.
Hermione smiled and gave him a soft kiss.
“I’ll be a gentleman and walk you to your door”
“It’s just up the stairs!” Hermione exclaimed.
“I know, but I said I wanted this date to be perfect so I can’t ruin it now,” he said with a cheeky smile.
They walked hand in hand up the stairs to Hermione’s bedroom door.
“Good night Hermione and sweet dreams,” he said. He cupped her chin in his hand and gave her a kiss goodnight. “I love you,” he said.
“I love you too,” Hermione replied. She squeezed his hand and went into her bedroom, closing the door quietly behind her.
She leaned against the door and sighed out loud. What a perfect evening. Hermione couldn’t believe what had happened in the last 24 hours. It was like a dream. But this wasn’t a dream and Hermione had never been happier. She changed into her pyjamas and snuggled under the covers. She drifted off into a comfortable sleep knowing that everything would work out fine.
In the common room, Draco was jumping up and down with excitement.
“Yes, yes, yes!” he exclaimed to no one in particular. “Nothing can dampen my mood tonight. I have never been happier!”
With a flick of his wand the candles and music disappeared and he went up to his own bedroom.
“I’m going to show Hermione how much I care for her so she will always be mine. I never want to let this feeling go,” he vowed to himself as he drifted off to sleep.
