The Kiss
“Ouf!”
“UP!!! LILY, TIME TO GET UP!!!!!”
“Jane?” , Lily murmured sleepily.
“Duh… who else would it be? God... what do redheads think these days? And here I stand.. and there is a redhead….” Jane Versace trailed off as she pranced out of the dormitory, leaving Lily alone.
“Nice to see that I have great friends” Lily grumbled, “The brunch is more important to them as me… “
Yawning, she got up.
~At that Moment~
James Potter and his friends sat in the heart of the Gryffindor Table. All around him were the classified “coolest people of Hogwarts” as well as a couple Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs. James was turning his fork around a piece of bacon, which kept falling off. He was debating whether to embarrass Lily Evans or if he should wait a while…
~Back to Lily Evans~
“Ah… finished…No more classes! No more homework! In other words, FREE TIME!!”
Lily sighed happily and fell back into the chair. It was 8:00 PM. In one hour, James Potter would officially ruin her peace by going to detention.
She used the time judiciously by enjoying her time with Jane and Wendy. Rachel had detention because of Snape: she called him a “dim-wit”. Frankly, it was factual, but Snape had troubles concurring this.
For 45 minutes they all played "Exploding Snap", and had very As a quarter to nine arrived, Lily reluctantly got up. “Bye Jane.. Wendy. Erm.. I have to go … visit Hagrid.”
“Visit Hagrid? Since when do you visit Professor Hagrid?” asked Wendy.
“I told him… I’d go… help him unload a new creature…”
Jane looked at Lily, raising her eyebrows so that they disappeared into her thin bush of blonde hair.
“Ok… See you later!”
30 minutes later, and many, many steps later on top of the Astronomy Tower, James Potter appeared, looking stupid and smug with himself.
“You’re LATE!” growled a sweaty pink-faced Lily.
James just grinned. He took out his wand, just like the night before, and conjured a mop with pink bubbles flowing out from it.
“Pink??” Lily said, in spite of herself.
James smiled… maturely… was that possible? No, Lily thought.
Gradually, James started telling jokes…, like always. Most of his jokes were pretty funny… but Lily tried hard not too laugh. She was very successful in doing so.
Though they had the most of the Tower finished, Lily knew that it would take at least 30 minutes to finish up.
James was telling a rather long joke… he had been talking nonstop for 2 hours.
“… and then, just think, the goblin agreed, to the lousy deal…”
He made a rather silly face at Lily, and Lily just had to laugh…
James’ P.O.V.
Her angelic laugh echoed through the cold Astronomy Tower. The bubbles flowing from the mop that I conjured crowded around her like mist. In fact, there was mist, but it was blue.
Then suddenly, she slipped, laughter not dying from the face, but her eyes widened in realization.
Thanks to my wonderful quidditch reflexes…
Lily’s P.O.V.
…he was able to catch me, his strong hands grasped my back… and then I kissed him…
James’ P.O.V.
Her soft warm lips collided with mine. We kissed, for about, say, ten minutes.
Lily’s P.O.V.
You could say, we were destined, to be together. After the kiss, we just stood there… forever…
James’ P.O.V.
And that was our tale.
The End.
Well… How did you like it? The end… Maybe I’ll make a sequel. If someone would like one, anyway. :D
