Remus woke the next morning feeling very peaceful and happy.
Elle was lying next to him, still sleeping. The blanket had been thrown back a bit, and her bare shoulder was exposed.
Remus carefully lifted the comforter and pulled it back on her, his fingers lightly touching her skin, sending a tingle throughout his body.
Elle mumbled something in her sleep, and Remus smiled to himself.
She was so beautiful.
Unable to resist, he reached out his hand and took Elle's.
Her blue eyes opened at his touch, and she smiled blearily. "What time is it?" she murmured.
"I don't know," said Remus, yawning. "Seven?"
"We've got to get up," mumbled Elle. "Is the dormitory empty?"
"Yeah, Peter and Sirius slept downstairs, I think," said Remus, carefully opening the bed curtains.
They both slid out of bed and reached for their clothes.
Remus snuck a glance at Elle, taking her in. He knew she wasn't what Sirius would call "a gift to men", with her modest curves, but she was so perfect to him.
"What are you looking at?" asked Elle, her face turning red.
"Nothin'," said Remus, quickly pulling up his trousers.
Elle, highly amused, smiled and hooked her bra. "Can you, um, hand me my blouse?" she asked shyly.
Remus picked up her shirt from the floor and went to hand it to her and, for some reason, she started giggling. "What?" he asked.
"You look good with your shirt off," she said.
Remus rolled his eyes and pulled her to him. "Aren't you going let me put
my shirt on?" asked Elle, after Remus kissed her.
"No," he said, kissing her again.
"We really have to go down," whispered Elle, after they broke apart.
"Why?"
But Elle just laughed and continued to get dressed.

When Remus and Elle stepped into the common room, they were greeted by cat calls and whistles.
"Feel special, Elle," said Sirius, as he, Remus, Brigid, Elle, and Peter made their way down to breakfast. "If it had been anybody else, I would've slept up there anyway."
"Oh, thanks, Sirius," laughed Elle.
"&"&"&"
"Elle, I can't believe you're...well, not a virgin anymore," said Brigid, flopping down on her bed after a long day of school.
"Yeah, I know," said Elle thoughtfully.
"What was it like?" asked Lily quietly.
"Well, I don't really know how to explain," said Elle.
She didn't really
want to explain, as it seemed to her, something that should just be between her and Remus.
"It was just like...
love."
"You are a cornball," said Brigid, chucking a pillow at her.
Elle rolled her eyes and threw the pillow back.
"Oy! Brigid!"
Sirius was hollering up at her from the common room.
Brigid went to the doorway and yelled, "What?"
"Come here!"
Brigid grinned at her friends, and they went down to the boys.
"&"&"&"
"Hey, boneheads!" said Brigid cheerfully.
Sirius grinned at her from his chair. "So what did you want?" she asked.
"Gimme a kiss," he said, pointing at his lips.
She smiled and climbed over the arm of the chair into his lap. "Miss me much?" Sirius asked.
"In the twenty minutes of so that I haven't seen you?" asked Brigid sarcastically. "Yes,
terribly."
Meanwhile, Elle and Remus were having a complete make-out session in front of everyone. "Elle," called James, as Lily laughed at him. "I don't know how you can kiss him let alone sha-"
"Oh, James, leave them alone," said Lily, clamping her hand over his mouth.
He attempted to continue talking, and Lily laughed and removed her hand. "All better," he said, kissing her.
And Peter sat there, awkward as usual.
He was really getting to hate this.
Peter gave a slight cough, and everyone looked at him.
"Sorry, Wormtail," said James, grinning at him.
"C'mon, mate," said Sirius. "You're a Marauder. Get a woman."
Peter mumbled something. "Shut up, Sirius," scolded Brigid.
"I was just saying-"
"No," insisted Brigid.
"Stop it," said Elle, sounding very exasperated. "We just got everything all settled."
"I'm glad it's over," murmured Lily, resting her head in the crook of James's neck.
"I'd say it goes to prove," said James, grinning at his friends. "That nothing can break up the Marauders."
And all but one agreed.
