Lily woke up the next morning and, for the first time in months, felt completely happy. She pulled on her school skirt, which she had laid out the night before, and buttoned her blouse carefully. She ran her brush through her bright red hair and smiled. For some reason, she just felt so lucky.

She hurried down the stairs, eager to see James, and jumped as someone shouted, "Boo!"

While she was still startled, James swooped her up into his arms. "James!" cried Lily, smiling in spite of herself. "You're so childish!"

He grinned at her, and some strands of messy, black hair fell in front of his eyes. "Yeah, I know," he said.

She pulled his face down to hers and kissed him. James moved over to the chair and sat down, still kissing Lily.

They broke apart, but kept their faces close. "James," said Lily, melting into his eyes. "We have to go to breakfast."

"Are you sure?" asked James, sliding his hand up from her waist.

Lily's conscience told her that if there was ever an inappropriate time for this, it was now. Before school.

But she was a hormonal teenager, just like the boys. True, she was probably a lot less horny, but still that fact remained.

Which is why, when James began to undo the buttons on her shirt, she made no move to stop him.

James knew that what he was doing was wrong. After all, they were going to purposely going to screw up their relationships with these girls just to get back at them. But no matter what Lily had done to him, he still had very strong feelings for her, and when a boy likes a girl like that, reason tends to be forgotten.

Kissing her hungrily, he unbuttoned the last button and opened Lily's shirt, exposing her bra. She shivered as he touched her bare skin.

Lily liked the feeling that he gave her when he touched her, but something told her that she wasn't ready for this. Which is why she stopped his hand as it started to creep up her thigh.

Not again, thought James, exasperated.

"Alright, Lily," he said, pulling away his hand.

Feeling horribly stupid, Lily muttered, "Sorry."

"No, don't be sorry," said James, wistfully watching her button her shirt. "I shouldn't have rushed you."

She peeked a glance at him.

His hair was more untidy than usual from Lily running her hands through it. He looked a tad bit agitated and Lily felt a rush of embarrassment. I don't deserve him, she thought angrily. He used to so much more. So much that I can't give him.

James looked back up at Lily. She looked very uneasy. "Lily," he said softly, putting his arm around her. "Don't worry about it. Really."

She looked up at him with her beautiful green eyes and gave a sigh of relief. She gave him a slight smile and holding hands, they headed out to start a fairly uneventful day.

"&"&"&"

Sirius Black had never gone so long without sex.

And he did not like it.

James could do it, maybe. He probably wouldn't last much longer.

Remus, yeah. He only got it about every two months or so.

But Sirius, he had never gone so long.

True, his relationship with Brigid wasn't going to last much longer, but he hadn't dated a girl without sleeping with her since the end of fifth year.

And he wanted to keep it that way.

Plus, he found Brigid very attractive.

If he hadn't have been so determined to get back at them, he felt that this would have been his longest relationship yet.

Which is why he kept trying to stay alone with Brigid. She was very passionate, he could feel it in her kisses. But whenever he so much as tried to go up her shirt, she stopped him.

Sirius found this very aggravating.

Not only did he have to deal with not getting any action, but Remus and Elle were now alone in the boys' dormitory.

Damn shy girls, thought Sirius.

"&"&"&"

"Elle," murmured Remus, as she kissed his neck.

He was getting so horny he couldn't think straight.

But no matter what his instincts told him, he wasn't going to take advantage of Elle's feelings for him.

Or rather, act on his feelings for her.

Because he knew that when they broke up girls' friendship the same way they had done, they would also be breaking their hearts.

Elle trailed her fingers slowly up his leg and reached for his belt buckle.

Remus shuddered and caught her fingers in his own.

She looked at him in confusion. "Isn't that what you want?" she whispered.

He sighed heavily. "That's not it," he said. "It's just..."

"What?" she pressed, her deep blue eyes searching his face.

"Never mind," he said. "Just..let's not...not now..."

Elle looked a bit relieved. "Alright," she said, smiling at him. "That's okay, too."

She checked his watch and said, "I better get back to my dormitory before Brigid gets suspicious."

She kissed him goodnight and hurried downstairs.

"&"&"&"

Elle probably didn't need to worry about Brigid noticing that she was gone, seeing as how she was a bit distracted by Sirius, who had just tried to go up her shirt again.

"Brigid-"

"No, I'm sorry," she muttered. "I...I'm just...nervous..."

"What?" asked Sirius, surprised.

"Well, that's what it's about, right?" she said. "Not letting you...you know..."

"No," said Sirius, suddenly guilty. "I just wanted to tell you that...you're beautiful."

"Really?" asked Brigid, blushing. "Nobody's ever told me that."

She rolled her eyes. "Well, except for Frank Lee, fifth-year Hufflepuff, but he's a bit...awkward."

Sirius laughed and immediately remembered why he had stuck around so long. Brigid kept him amused and vice-versa.

"I'm going to go to bed," she said, kissing him on the cheek. "Don't miss me too much."

After she left, Remus came down and collapsed into his regular chair. "What's that?" asked Sirius, nodding at Remus.

"What?"

"Your neck," said Sirius, grinning at him.

Remus smiled sheepishly. "I didn't realize it left a mark," he said, rubbing at it.

"So did you sleep with her yet, or what?"

"No," said Remus. "And I'm not going to."

"What?"

"Sirius, we're basically going to be breaking up with them in a few days," said Remus.

"Which is why we should milk it for all it's worth," said Sirius.

Remus gave him a very dirty look. "Don't you care about her at all?" he asked.

"'Course I do," said Sirius. "Which is why I want to sleep with her."

"Sirius, you sleep with all your girlfriends."

"Yeah," said Sirius thoughtfully. "But this is...different?"

He shook himself. "But it doesn't matter. Nobody pulls a prank on us, without getting it back at them."

He grinned at his friend, only to find that he was looking very somber. "Aw, don't worry, Moony," said Sirius. "There are plenty of girls just like her in this school."

But even he knew he wasn't right.

"&"&"&"

The four Marauders were meeting in the boys' dormitory a few days later.

They all were pumped up with the excitement of a new prank. "Today," said Sirius. "They'll wish they never laid eyes on us."

Even Remus was slightly excited.

Though not a generally vengeful person, the memory of Elle on a couch with Sirius on top of her made him eager to get some sort of revenge.

"So, do we have a plan?" asked James.

"&"&"&"

Lily Evans had stumbled into the common room with a funny expression on her face.

As planned, James had slipped an extra-strong Love Potion into her dinner drink.

And, as planned, Sirius was waiting in the common room.

"Hey, Lily!" he called.

She giggled absently and walked clumsily over to him, plopping herself down on his lap."Gee, Sirius," she said, her eyes wide. "You sure look different."

"I think I'm gonna kiss you," she said laughing hysterically.

Sirius nodded at Peter, who was waiting by the portrait hole, and Peter went off to get Brigid, who was in the library.

Sirius stayed and kissed Lily, taking out all his sexual energy on her. It had been so long since he had touched a girl like this.

Lily moaned slightly in his mouth and pressed harder against him.

"What the fuck!" yelled a voice.

Lily and Sirius broke apart to find Brigid standing by the portrait hole, fuming.

She rounded on them, her face contorted in fury. "What the fuck are you doing?" she spat.

Lily rolled her eyes and laughed. "Kissing Sirius," she said.

"What's the matter with you?" hollered Brigid.

"Well, I just figured that he wasn't getting anything from you," said Lily, standing up and crossing to her. "So he could get some from me."

Brigid's cheeks flushed angrily and she whipped out her wand, yelling a curse.

Lily fell to the floor, just as James entered through the portrait hole. "Brigid!" he cried. "What did you do?"

He knelt beside Lily and pulled her into his arms. "Sirius, help me get her to the Hospital Wing," he said quickly.

Sirius hurried over, avoiding eye contact with Brigid, helped James carry Lily out the portrait hole.

Brigid watched them go and then threw herself angrily into a chair.

She was so angry that she didn't even hear Remus approach.

"Brigid?" he said. "What happened? I just saw Sirius and James taking Lily to the hospital wing."

"I hexed her," muttered Brigid.

"What?"

Brigid made a slightly aggravated noise

"What happened?" asked Remus squeezing into the chair next to her.

She told him the whole story and, by the end, was in tears

"How c-could she d-do this to me?" she sobbed into his shoulder.

"Shh," whispered Remus.

He placed a finger under her chin and lifted her face. "You're beautiful, Brigid," he said. "It's just Sirius being Sirius."

Brigid was not good when it came to making decisions. She did things that she would regret later. But now she needed an outlet, so when she looked up into Remus's blue eyes, she suddenly found herself kissing him, not caring that she was hurting Elle. All that she needed was some way to get rid of her anger.

When she pulled away, Remus had a slightly surprised expression on his face. "Well, alright then," he said.

He placed his hand on her neck and pulled her to him again.

"Remus?"

Elle was standing in the portrait hole looking more pissed than anyone had ever seen her.
