The plot is mine, but, sadly, thatís it!
"Our." Blaise corrected. Hermione glared at him.
"Our NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR!?!" Hermione yelled in disbelief, stomping her foot angerily.
"Hermione!" her father reprimanded.
"I can't help it! This git has been nothing but a pain in my arse the past 6 years!" Hermione said angerily, not caring that she was getting shocked and angry looks from the people around her.
"HERMIONE!" her father said angerily.
"You will not speak to our guests in that tone! Now apologize, immediately!"
Hermione's eyes narrowed as she sighed. "Sorry."
"It's quite alright." Narcissa said understandingly, though Hermione was pretty sure Narcissa had no idea.
"Why don't the 3 of you go upstairs while we talk?" her father said suggestively.
Hermione sighed. "Fine. Let's go."
The adults watched as Hermione, Blaise and Draco left the room and didn't start talking until they could no longer hear their footsteps on the staircase.
"So Blaise, what have you been up too?" Draco asked when they reached the top of the stairs, completely ignoring Hermione.
"Not much, I was acutally going to help Hermione paint her room."
"That would explain the yellow paint then?" Draco asked trying to conceal his laughter. Blaise nodded.
"You could help if you wanted." Hermione said quietly, trying to sound polite even though she loathed him deeply.
"Now why would I want to help the mudblood?"
Hermione seethed. "YOU FOUL CONCEITED PRAT! I'M A PUREBLOOD JUST LIKE YOU! GO STICK YOUR STUPID EGOTISTICAL HEAD UP MY,"
"HERMIONE!" Blaise yelled. Hermione glared at him but said nothing, instead, she crossed her arms over her chest and walked into her room, slamming the door behind her.
Draco and Blaise watched her go. When the door slammed, Draco turned to Blaise. "I'm really sorry you're stuck with her."
"She's really not that bad, we actually had fun a few minutes ago."
"With yellow paint?" Draco asked, an eyebrow raised.
"Not like that. I walked in while she was painting but she had spilled it and I tripped in it. It was fun, but then you came and we had to go downstairs." Blaise said with a smile.
"That's actually kind of funny."
"It is. I promised her I would help her finish painting after we saw who was here."
Draco looked down. "Well, I guess we could help." he said through gritted teeth. He hated Hermione, but since Blaise was his Best Friend, he figured he could at least try and act like he got along with his new sister.
Blaise smiled. "Good. I mean, you don't have to like her, but I'm happy you'll at least try. You will try, right?"
Draco narrowed his eyes at Blaise but nodded. "Good."
Hermione had changed into a pair of black shorts and a white t-shirt so she could finish painting. She figured that since Malfoy was here, Blaise wouldn't help her finish painting. But that was ok, because she had decided to just splatter paint on the walls. After all, she knew she would get tired off seeing the yellow, so why not just just splatter a ton of different colors on the wall? Hermione smiled as she brought out the other cans of paint she could have chosen from. There was red, purple, black, blue, green, and orange. And of course, she would use yellow. She struggled getting all the lids open, but when she did, she grabbed a giant paintbrush and dipped it in the red paint. She was about to throw the paint on the wall when the door opened, which startled her since she wasn't expecting it, and so she threw paint at the boys who had just walked in not knowing that it actually was the boys.
Hermione gasped when she saw Draco and Blaise standing in the doorway now covered in red paint. "I'm so sorry!" Hermione said as she ran over.
Blaise shook his head and wiped his face with his hand to clear his eyes. "What are you doing?"
"Well, I didn't like the yellow all that much so I figured I would use all the colors."
"That has got to be the," Draco started.
"Smartest idea ever." Blaise finished before glaring at Draco. Hermione looked at him quizzically. "We came to help."
"You and Malfoy,"
"Draco." Blaise said.
Hermione sighed. "You and Draco want to help me?"
"Yes." the two replied together, though with Draco it sounded forced.
Blaise nodded. "Of course."
Hermione stared at Blaise then at Draco, then finally shrugged. "Fine. Do you want to get that red paint off first?" she asked as they walked over to the paint, Draco closing the door behind them.
"Sure." Blaise said with a smile as they stopped in front of the paint. Hermione kept walking into the bathroom to grab a towel and while she was gone, Blaise raised an eyebrow at Draco, who smiled back. They both reached down and picked up 2 of the paint brushes, dipped then in red paint, and waited for Hermione to come back.
"Thanks for helping me I guess, it's really, EEK!!" Hermione screamed as red paint was flung onto her. Draco and Blaise laughed as Hermione glared at them.
"You want to get that paint off Hermione?" Draco said beween laughter.
"Very funny." Hermione replied dully. "We're supposed to paint my walls, not each other!"
"Ok ok!" Blaise said, calming down from the laughing.
"So we're just supposed to, what, throw the paint on the walls?" Draco asked quizically. Hermione nodded with a smile. She watched as Draco and Blaise dipped their brushes in the red paint again and laughed as they threw it at the wall.
"What are you laughing at?" Blaise asked with a smile.
"Nothing, you two just look so funny doing that!" Hermione said, trying not to laugh.
"Let's see you do it then!" Draco said.
"Fine! I will!" Hermione dipped her paint in blue paint and threw it at the wall. "There." She turned to look at the boys who were lauhing.
"And you say we look funny!" Draco said with a smile. He was actually enjoying himself.
"Ha ha ha. Let's just do this." Hermione replied.
For the next two hours, Hermione, Blaise and Draco splatter painted Hermione's room. . .and each other. Draco was surprised to find that during it all, he was actually having fun and enjoying himself. Hermione was surprised, too. Blaise was just happy that his Best Friend and new sister were getting along. Finally, they stood in the doorway and looked at her walls.
They had gone back and painted the walls black and then gone again and started resplattering so that the colors would stand out more. Hermione smiled as she looked around her room, it was fantastic! And she had to give credit to Blaise and Draco for helping. Sure, all three of them were almost fully covered in paint, but they had got it done and had fun doing it.
"I think it looks great." Blaise said with a satisfied smile as he looked around.
"It's just missing something." Draco said.
Hermione stared at him. "Missing what?"
Draco pulled out a silver sharpie from his pocket and held it up. "Ok, first I would like to know why you, Draco Malfoy, have a muggle item. Secondly, I want to know what you're planning on doing with it."
"You're not going to write on her walls are you?" Blaise asked.
"Then what are you doing?" Hermione asked forcefully. She didn't want her walls with writing all over them.
"Come here." they followed Draco as he walked up to Hermione's bed.
"What are you doing?" Blaise asked forcefully.
Hermione and Blaise watched as Draco climbed on the bed and write above the head rest wrote, "Walls courtesy of Hermione and Blaise Granger & Draco Malfoy." He drew a star at the bottom of their names and closed the sharpie, then sat back on the bed to admire his work with a smile, he had good cursive, which is what Hermione pointed out.
"You have good hand writing." she said as she sat on the bed next to him.
Draco shrugged. "Thanks."
Blaise climbed on the bed and sat on the other side of Draco. They were all quiet for a minute before Blaise voiced what everyone was thinking.
"Is this the start of something new?" he asked, looking at Draco then at his sister.
Hermione looked at her brother with a smile, then at Draco who was smiling slightly. "I guess it is." she said.
