“Coast is clear.” Draco grinned. He stood up from the water and made his way over to the doorway - his eyes never leaving Hermione.
Hermione leant back against the wall, one hand clutching the towel that she had wrapped around herself the other playing dangerously across her lips, and watched Draco’s muscular form step towards her. He looked so good with those small droplets of water trickling down his chest. Once he reached her, he placed his hands on the wall behind and rested his forehead against hers.
He exhaled deeply and commented, “You know…somehow…I don’t think you’ll be needing that towel.” He smirked and placed delicate kisses down her neck. Hermione smiled and prepared herself for what she was going to do next.
“Oh Draco, you are so naïve.” She wrapped her arms around his neck and let out a small sigh, “You didn’t really think that I’d give you what you wanted that fast, did you?” she smirked.
“W-what?” Draco was taken aback.
“You are just going to have to work for it.”
“Why would I have to do that?” his tone was a little more harsh now.
“Don’t think that I’ve instantly forgotten the past six years of my life, because if you did,” she pinched his cheek, “you would be sorely mistaken, Mr Malfoy.” And with that, she placed a small peck on his lips and strutted out of the bathroom.
He stood there, staring at the wall in front of him, trying to understand what had just happened. Had he just been rejected? Had Draco Malfoy, Slytherin sex god really just been rejected? What was going on in the world?
Once safely inside her bedroom, Hermione rested herself against the door and slid down it until she reached the floor. She let out a large sigh and smiled to herself. That was one of the best nights of her life. Not only had she spent the best part of an hour with Draco Malfoy in a hot tub but she had successfully put him in his place and stomped on his huge ego. She had to laugh at that.
She stood and plonked herself on her bed and snuggled down into the golden silk sheets. With one last smile she closed her eyes and drifted into a peaceful sleep.
On the other side of the Head’s tower, Draco Malfoy stood pacing around his room. How could she do this to me? I had her right in my hands and she just spat in my face. What a turn around. Maybe she went off me? Or she could have just been playing with me in the first place and never really liked me. Or maybe she does actually really like me but is fighting it because her little friends might think less of her and her I-am-little-miss-perfect reputation would be shattered. Oh this is just all so confusing.
But he stopped in his tracks and suddenly the anger rose in his body. How dare she mess with my emotions like this! The little bitch is going to get it now. He almost sprinted across his room and out the door. He skidded across the bathroom and swung open the entrance to Hermione’s room.
“How d-” he stopped his ranting when he took one look at her. She was snuggled into her covers and her soft hair was going every which way on her pillow. He couldn’t help but smile at the sight. He slowly crept towards her sleeping form and sat down by her. He reached out and tucked back the strand of hair that had found its way across her face.
“I meant it when I said you were beautiful.” He whispered. With one last smile, he left her room and let the door softly click behind him.
The morning came too soon for the pupils at Hogwarts as most of them had been awake gossiping all night. The grumbles and moans of protest could be easily found where ever you went in the castle; Mostly from the Seventh year Gryffindors though. It just so happened that it was Potions first lesson and you get three guesses as to which house was joining them.
Hermione skipped down to the Common room and into the kitchenette to find herself something to eat. She didn’t feel like going to the Great Hall because she so desperately wanted to see how the oh-so-great Mr Malfoy was this morning.
As if on cue the soft click of his door could be heard and his body soon came into view.
“Morning Sunshine.” Hermione smiled.
“Morning Beautiful.” He replied with a smile just as lively. See how you like that one Granger. He squeezed past her and poured himself a drink.
“What’s got us in a good mood this morning?”
“Oh you know, just the fact that I know what Snape has up his sleeve.” he replied, resisting the urge to shout at her after last nights events.
“Oh you do, do you?”
“Yes I do. And you Gryffndors aren’t going to like it one bit, well you might, but your friends definitely won’t.” he smirked and took a sip of his drink.
“And I suppose that you’re not going to tell me.” she asked - already knowing the answer.
“Of course not, that would ruin the surprise now wouldn’t it.” He picked up an apple from the fruit bowl and took a bite. He turned his arm over and checked his watch. “Oh and look at the time, this day just keeps getting better.”
