Ginny Potter was sitting on the porch swing at Godrics Hollow.
Ginny was pregnant with her first child his feet were kicking the side her stomach
Harry came out, sat next to her and handed her lemonade. “ Hello Darling” he said kissing her softly on the lips. “Hows the bump?” “Fine.” She said “He’s kicking like a mad man though” “You’ll survive” he said reasuringly “My mum always said that God made woman go into labor because men wouldn’t be able to stand the pain.” She smiled, teasing him. He abruptly changed the subject.
“ I’ve been thinking about names. I like the name James or maybe Cedric those are good names.” Harry said looking into her eyes “Darling, you’ve forgotten girl names, How about Lilian or Meagan I like those.” She said reminding him of the possibility of a girl. “ We won't be having a girl so theres no need to think of girl names.”
He said matter of factly
“Oh so now you’re the expert?” she said teasing him again. “ Well, yeah. I mean you said that he was kicking like a mad man right?” “Yeah I did” she replied, curious. “ Well girls don’t kick like that they just tap. Boys are the ones that really make their presence known to mankind!” “But right now I feel tapping as well so that can’t be true!” she said pressing the point. “He’s just tired.” Harry said, trying to sound convincing.
“How’s this I’ll make you a bet, If we have a girl I win and if we have boy you win.” She said, sure of herself. “ What do we win?” We go out eat and the winner chooses where we go.” She knew she was making a risk. There was a place called 'Chillis' that Harry always wanted to go to but she thought it souned scary. Ginny Potter in a muggle restaurant? No way.
“ I know what your thinking.” Said Harry in a singsong voice “And if I win, and I will you will have to go!” He sounded annoyingly triumphant. “OK then mister, ‘always right’ we’ll see but that’s a girl I’ve got in there and your gonna lose!” Ginny was determined to prove him wrong. But before she had a chance to add another comment he interupted again “ Remember the day I asked you out?” He asked smiling. “ How could I forget” she said returning the grin.

“Harry, over here!” Ron, Hermione,and Ginny were standing and waving at him from platform 8 at Kings Cross Staition “ Hi Ron, Hermione,Ginny.”His eyes stopped at Ginny she was wearing a Forest green tank top that said “ My face is up here,” Tight jeans, and heeled sandals.Her auburn hair was pinned back in the front. She looked,…good! Hermione was wearing A blue tube top
that said “smart is sexy” and The same as Ginny elsewhere. And Ron was wearing addidas shorts, A old navy t-shirt, and nike sneakers. “You guys look like muggles!” said Harry enthusiastically. “ Well, arent we going to Godrics Hollow, which is a muggle town?” Hermione asked like it was the most obvious thing in the world.” Well yes but I didn’t think you would act the part.” He himself was wearing Tan cargo shorts and a T-shirt he had cut at the sleeves. “ Oh its sooo good to see you Harry!” Ginny said hugging him. He felt his stomach do flip flops.
“You know you look hot when your dressed like a muggle.” He said rubbing her stomach . “ Yeah?” she asked “Yeah” he returned the look of satisfaction that was sparkling in her eyes. “ Then I’ll dress like that more often.” She said, kissing his mouth.
When they reached the house, they picked out their rooms and decided that since this was Harry’s house he should get his parents old one. “ Harry?” Ginny was standing at his doorway. “ Could you help me with these? I can’t do magic outside of school yet and Ron and Hermione are upstairs snogging each other senseless.” He laughed at the comment. “ Sure.” He went down the stairs and had the trunks whisk themselves up the stairs and into her room. He followed them, trying to work up the courage to ask her the question that he had to before it was to late. “Um Ginny?” She turned around that brilliant mane of hers. “ Yes Harry?” “ Would you like to go into town with me?” He had done it “ Sure lemme go change you probaly don’t want me go as if Im your girl friend.” Oh no she had taken it wrong. “ No I mean do you wanna be my girlfriend?”
She had ansewred by letting her mouth do the talking.
“That kiss was mind blowing you know.” He said reminescing . “ That’s because you hadn’t been kissed right before.” Her eyes looked mischievous. “ Is that right” he asked in mock confusion. “ Well if you’re the expert I suggest you find someone as expierienced as you to lock lips with!” “Maybe I will” she said. They burst into laughter.
Until the baby kicked unexspectedly. “ That is definetly a boy.” Harry said in a mock serious tone. She elbowed him in the ribs, hard. “ What was that for?” he asked as if he didn’t know. “ Hmph” she said and she stormed into the house.
He followed her with the lemonade flaoting along behind him.
“Your as stubborn as an mule you know that?” he said still joking.
She slammed the door after mouthing the word “Couch”
He sighed.
She has to learn to face dissapointment.

Breaking Water
Harry woke up on the floor in the living room. He reached for his glasses and got up to make breakfast for him and his wife. “HARRY” Ginny screamed, “My water broke!” He rushed into their bedroom and took her in his arms He sent out his patronus to alert the others. Soon he heard loud “pops” that meant the Weasly clan had arrived .
“Wheres my Ginny! Where’s my baby girl!” Molly Weasley was ecxtatic. “Oh Harry you go first with Ginny.” Obiediently he took the floo and stepped into the fireplace. Soon there was a woosh of green flame and they appeared in the fireplace of
St Mungos .
“ Her water just broke.” He said to the healer at the front desk. “Oh!” She led him to the New Mother ward and sat her on a bed. “ The rest of the family will be here in a matter of seconds, They all have hair like hers.” Harry motioned to her auburn locks and she nodded. “ Call me if anything happens.” With that she left
“ Just you watch it be a boy!”he said once the healer was out of earshot “ She smacked him across the face and was about to retaliate when Molly came in with tears in her eyes. “ Oh Ginny, look at you, Two minutes ago you were bopping your brothers on their noses because you didn’t want to be held and now your married and about go into labor! I.. .…
I think Im going to swoon!” she fainted and fell to the floor. Harry motioned to revive her but Ginny let out a howl of pain. “ Um I think somethings happenning!” He said, worried “I’ll go and tell the healer, You just revive mum.”Ron volunteered . Soon Mrs Weasly was coaching Ginny into labor “ Take deep breaths” she would say. Or even “Squeeze his hand like you want it to burst.” “ Ginny was not going to be silent not now not ever “ Harry potter if you so much as hold my hand I sware to merlin I will jinx you into a jelly!” Harry was worried , They had planned on four children not one. “ Oh don’t worry dear its just the pain that’s all!” He tried to look assured by Mrs Weaslys comment but it was hard. “We’ve got a head and it’s a boy!” the healer on the other end shouted
“Told you so” Harry said with triumph. She let out another howl of pain. “ Another one coming. And she’s a girl!” the healer was overwhelmed, Ginny was sweaty and smiling, Hermione was crying and “ Harry was well “ Nooo” He screamed “It was supposed to be a boy!” he crumpled to the ground. “ Oh hush Harry. You sound like a banshee.”
Ginny said in a mothering tone . She smiled at her children, the boy, was the spitting image of Harry, hair and all. The girl however had her Ginny’s eyes, face, and the famous Weasley Hair.
“What are we going to name them!”she asked knowing what he would do . He shot up from the ground “ I name the boy and you name the girl.”he annonuced “ Fine, the girls name is going to be Lilian, like your mother.” Ginny had known this all along. “ I like the name Evan for the boy, its cool.” Ginny was surprised at this development. He knew. “ It has a nice ring to it doesn’t it? Lily and Evan.”
Three weeks later
“ Harry, neither of us won the bet you know.” Ginny said “Yeah I know but that’s ok I was being a git.”Harry was grinning “You just realized?”
he took Lily in his arms and rocked her to sleep “ You were supposed to be a boy you know” he whispered. She grinned and laughed a tinkling laugh that clearly meant, face dissapointment.
