“Oh no! NO NO NO!” Amanda said searching her messenger bag frantically. It was already a week past her rendezvous with Sirius and she had not spoken to him since. She didn’t know what she was going to say, but she had to today, her ‘Family Matters’ class started in 5 minutes. And to top it off, she couldn’t find her blueprints, “NO NO NO! It was in here yesterday!”
“Looking for this?” A voice said above her. Amanda looked up to see Sirius holding her blueprints, “I borrowed it a while to do a bit of tweaking.”
Amanda let out a sigh of relief, “You could of at least told me, I was about to have a heart attack. Now what exactly did you tweak?”
“Look yourself.”
Amanda looked at the blueprints, everything seemed in order: Garden in the front yard, entering and there was a kitchen, followed by a dining room, and a living room, up the stairs were 2 bedrooms; master and child’s with bathrooms connecting to it. Everything seemed in place when she noticed something out of the corner of her eye. Out in the back yard where she put a shed labeled ‘Gardening Tools’, it was now labeled ‘Art Studio’.
Amanda looked up to see Sirius smiling. A genuine smile. She was about to comment on how surprised (not that he managed not to mess up the blueprints, but on how he remembered what she said) she was but Mcgonagoll entered and began to collect the papers.
“What is did you write as your career?” Sirius asked after Mcgonagoll passed.
“Healer. I always was good at healing charms.” Amanda replied, “You?”
“Aurora. Me and James are going to be partners when we grow up.” Sirius said puffing his chest out like a superhero.
Amanda tried to suppress a giggle but failed and attracted many glares from surrounding girls.
“Goodness, all these girls are leering at me..” Amanda said sinking into her chair, blushing.
“Don’t worry about it, they’re just jealous.” Sirius said patting her leg.
“What do I have that they would be jealous of?” Amanda asked, clueless to the fact that Sirius was now rubbing his hand up and down her thigh subconsciously.
“Um..dunno.” Sirius said hiding a bemused smile.
Then a scroll appeared:
Congratulations on getting passed your first task!
Now you must go through the perils of parenthood!
Did I say perils? I meant joy!
You will each be given a doll which you have to nourish and love.
It will cry if it doesn’t get enough attention, does not get fed, does not
Get enough sleep or needs to be changed.
If it does however get enough care and attention, it will begin to
Develop skills such as walking and talking.
Each week you should write a progress report on how
Your child is doing and turn it in the following class.
Enjoy being parents!
After a few moments dolls began to pop onto the wives lap.
“Looks like we have a girl.” Amanda said holding the doll up. A seventh year Ravenclaw accidentally dropped it and doll sprang to life and began wailing.
“Better not give the doll to me unless you want it to be dropped.” Sirius said holding his hands back.
“I think we have to name it...” Amanda said thinking of names to name the doll.
“How about...Alexis?” Sirius suggested.
“Sounds good. Alexis it is.” Almost instantly, the name Alexis appeared on the blanket that the doll was wrapped in.
“Where’d you come up with that name?” Amanda asked.
“I lost my virginity to Alexis Olander in 4th year.” Sirius replied simply as Amanda began to blush.
“That was an over-share.” Amanda said simply, “I’m renaming it now.”
“Fine fine..how about.. Rebecca?”
“You mean the Rebecca that you dated for 2 weeks a month ago?”
“Oh..yea.”
“Hm..how about..Anne. Sounds simple, and I don’t think you’ve ever dated any Annes.”
“Fine, Anne it is.” The blankets’ name changed once again, changing the ‘-lexis’ of Alexis to ‘-nne’ of Anne.
As Amanda handed the baby to Sirius, who nearly dropped it, a note appeared on Amanda’s desk.
She opened it, expecting it to read requirements for the baby, but instead read:
Your eyes light up every time I speak to me.
I long to kiss those sweet supple lips of yours,
Be mining Amanda, Only mine.
Let me take you,
ALL of you.
Sincerely,
Your Secret Admirer.
Amanda began to blush furiously and she folded up the note and stuck it in the farthest part of her bag, making sure that it couldn’t fall out or be taken out.
“What’s the matter Amanda? You look..red.” Sirius observed.
“No..I’m fine. I should probably get heading out to lunch. I’ll speak to you later Sirius.” Amanda said heading out towards the Great Hall to grab a biscuit and start on her essay.

After her first page, consisting of the baby’s behavior today, Amanda checked her watch to realize that it was already 10. Yawning, she gathered her books and was about to head up to her dormitory when she heard her name being called.
“Amanda!” Sirius shouted.
“Oh, sorry, didn’t hear you Sirius. What can I do for you?” Amanda asked.
“Nothing, just come with me.” Sirius said tugging at her arms.
“Why? I mean, it’s already 10 o’clock. We’re not even allowed out, we should really be getting to bed.”
“Stop being such a goody goody Deston. Live a little!”
“I am living a little, but I do it in the morning when I’m not exhausted.”
Sirius let out a low growl and then continued to try to convince her to come with him.
“Stop being so prude.”
That struck a cord in Amanda.
“I AM NOT PRUDE!” Amanda said, her voice a few octaves higher than intended.
“Prove it then. Come with me.” Sirius said flashing her a crooked grin.
“Fine, let’s go.”

Amanda was clutching onto Sirius’s arms, scared that they would get caught. When they exited the school and onto the grounds she relaxed, knowing that there was less of a chance that they would get caught here.
She didn’t let go of his arm though.
“Here we are.” Sirius said proudly.
In front of her was a field filled with strawberries ranging from the size of a small knut to the length of a wand. All of them radiating red, reflecting from the surrounding strawberries due to the half-moon.
“Wow..are we even still on the grounds?” Amanda said staring at the field before her.
“Yes, I was walking around and stumbled upon it.” Sirius replied.
“Wow..” Amanda said again.
“It’s breathtaking isn’t it?” Sirius whispered into her ear, tickling it.
“Sure is..” Amanda replied, a pink tinge rising in her cheeks due to the closeness of her and Sirius.
“So, what are you waiting for? Go ahead and pig out!” Sirius said pushing her forwards.
Amanda giggled and wandered around the field, trying to find the perfect strawberry. She found a large, plump one that was blood red. She picked off its stem and stuck it into her mouth, slowly nibbling it.
“Delicious.” Amanda said, licking off the remainder of the strawberries juice from her fingers.
“5 minutes to eat a single strawberry?! Why, aren’t we lady-like!” Sirius said from across the field.
Amanda grabbed a fist full of strawberries and chucked them at Sirius, making him dodge them all. Soon he smiled and grabbed a handful of berries.
It soon turned out into an all strawberry war.
“I SURRENDER! I SURRENDER!” Sirius said collapsing onto a green patch of grass.
“Haha, I win!” Amanda said joining in laying down onto the green grass. Soon the panting from all the running around ceased and the only noise were the crickets chirping in the night.
“Sirius?” Amanda said lightly.
“Yes?”
“What time is it?” She asked.
“Around 12 I suppose.”
“Wow, this is the longest I’ve stayed up in ages.” Amanda said looking up at the stars.
“Really?”
“Yep, and probably the first time I’ve had real fun in a while.”
“Glad that I could give you some fun” Sirius said tuning over and smiling mischievously at her, “But the war is not over!”
With that said Sirius rolled over and onto Amanda dragging her down a small slope despite her giggling pleas. Soon they stopped, with Sirius on top and the panting and laughing ceased. They were left only to stare at each other. Sirius began to lean forward, his hands cradling her face with one hand.
“Sirius-” Amanda tried to protest.
“Shhh..just a kiss..” Sirius said leaning in closer.
Ever so slowly, their lips brushed together. Causing shocks go into both of their bodies. Bringing his other hand to lift her head up, Sirius deepened the kiss, letting his tongue enter her mouth, which caused a moan to come out of Amanda. Sirius smiled into their kiss and slowly, and reluctantly, pulled away. Amanda opened her eyes to see a grinning Sirius on top of her.
“That wasn’t so bad now, was it?” Sirius asked.
“No, I suppose not.” Amanda replied chuckling, “It’s late, and we have class tomorrow, we should head back.”
“Of course.” Sirius said helping her up and putting an arm around her, leading her back to the castle.
