Disclaimer: Why do I bother putting this up? Everyone knows JK owns the characters. I own most of them, except the HP ones. Oh and I don’t own the song ‘Dilemma’ either.
Shout Outs to:
On with the story:
“Do you think we could hitch a ride?” Ron asked up for a good adventure.
“Of course not, Ron! That’s dangerous!” Hermione said looking at Ron as if he were crazy.
Ron made a face at her when she turned around. “Well, what do you intend us to do?” Ron said raising his eyebrows, smirking inside knowing she hadn’t an answer.
“Well… I….er….um………RON! Stop laughing!” She barked seeing that Ron had burst into a fit of laughter.
They whirled around to see a tall girl with short, dark hair around the age of twenty standing before them.
“Yes?” Hermione asked blushing, wondering if this girl had seen what happened.
“Are you there four exchange students from Europe?”
“Exchange students? Oh yeah, we are.” Harry said.
“Oh good. I’ve been looking for you all-” but her attention was dismissed as a group of boys passed by. She sighed and stared at them for a moment then snapped back to attention.
“Sorry.” she said blushing. “Follow me.”
Harry and Ron exchanged amused glances and followed the girl out to the parking lot.
She led them to a black focus. “Get in.” she said.
They got in. She put the key into the ignition and drove out of the parking lot.
“So, what are all ya’lls names?” asked the girl.
“Well I’m er….-” Ron began.
“I’m Hermione Granger.” Hermione said thinking Ron was taking too long.
Ron glared at her. “Ron Weasley.”
“Okay, oh and you back there?” she said looking at Draco in the rearview mirror.
Draco waited a few moments before he answered. “Draco Malfoy.”
The girl nodded. “My name is Larissa.”
“So you are the people who are to stay at my mom’s house?”
“Oh. I was expecting you all to be younger. How old are ya’ll anyway?”
“We’re 16.”Ron said staring out the window.
“Great. I have a sister who’s that age. I think you’ll get along with her great. I have another sister and a younger brother, too. My sister is 14 and my brother is 3.”
She raised an eyebrow wondering why they were so quiet. Maybe they were just shy, she decided. She turned on the radio to break the silence and sang along with the song.
“No matter what I do
All I think about is you
Even when I’m with my Boo
You know I’m crazy over you.”
I met this chick and she just moved right up the block
And she got the hots for me, the finest thing I need
But oh, no, no, she got a man and a son, oh-oh, but
‘Cause I wait for my cue and just listen, play my
Like a shortstop, pick up e’rything mami hittin’
And in no time I better make this friend mine and
that’s for sure
‘Cause I-I never been the type to break up a happy
But there’s something ‘bout baby girl, I just can’t
leave her ‘lone
So tell me, ma, what’s it gonna be
She said, "You don’t know what you mean to me," come
“No matter what I do all I think about is you …..
“Oh! We’re here!” she said turning a corner.
She pulled into the drive way and parked the car and everyone got out. She helped them with their luggage. Larissa led them to the front door. She tried opening the door but realized it was locked. She let out a huff of frustration and knocked instead. Harry thought she looked a bit like Hermione does whenever Ron steals one of her ‘precious’ books.
They could here movement inside and after a few seconds, the door opened.
In front of them stood a short woman with short brown hair. “Hey Larissa, are these the children?”
Draco cringed inside. How could she refer to them as children? They were almost adults!
“Yup!” Larissa said.
“Good, why don’t ya’ll come inside?”
They walked inside the house. Ron gaped at the room they were in. Hermione nudged him in the ribs to remind him he wasn’t a fish. He quickly shut his mouth.
“I’m so sorry. I have to leave to take Larissa and I to work. But I’m sure my daughters will be glad to show you around. KRISTINA!”
They heard a soft thud and they turned in the direction of the sound. Hermione turned to speak with the older woman. “Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your house.” Hermione said politely. “We are very grateful Mrs….”
“Gloria Robledo. But you may call me Gloria.” she said beaming at her. “And you are very welcome…. What are your names?”
“I’m Hermione Granger.”
Again it took Draco a while to answer. “Draco Malfoy.” he said curtly.
Ron glared at him.
“Okay then, my daughter should be coming. Maybe as soon as she gets off her lazy butt…..”
“Well we have to go. My husband is at work , too. We’ll be back later. Goodbye.” And she and Larissa walked out the door.
Ok, was this chapter long enough? There is going to be some song lyrics in this fic. Sorry if I don’t have Draco talking much, but I just don’t think Draco would speak a lot in this position. He’s still mad at his father for making him to do this. Again, thanks to all of my reviewers. You all are the one’s who encourage me write more and I’m grateful! The next chapter will be up soon. PLEASE REVIEW!
