It’s Sunday morning and Hermione decides its best to keep out of Draco’s way. She has a quick shower not bothering to wash her hair and changes into simple denim shorts and a red crop top. She then takes her black jacket and walks out into the common and out of the door.
She decides to go to the kitchen and visit Dobby. Harry hadn’t been to see him yet so she thought she would say hello. She reached forward and tickled the pear. It squirmed and the door opened. Dobby was sitting with Winky by the fire. They looked up and waved to her as she came in.
“Dobby is very happy to see you Miss.” He said as his eyes shone with happiness.
“It’s good to see you too Dobby. Hello Winky.” Winky smiled and waved to her. She had been a very distressed house elf when she first came here after her master had cast her aside. But over the years she began to stop drinking so much. And she even had the twinkle backing her eyes.
“Dobby wishes to know if Harry Potter will be visiting.” He asked eagerly. Hermione looked at the hope in his eyes. Who was she to break his heart?
“He is busy Dobby but I’m sure he will visit you soon.” He seemed happy with the answer. Hermione spent most of the day with them. She then left the kitchen with her pockets full of short bread.
She walked out onto the school grounds. The snow had come early this year and it made a white blanket over the grounds. She feel it touching her cheeks and she wrapped her jacket tighter around her body.
“You will catch you death out here dressed like that. Not that I’m complaining about the outfit. But you could always wear it comfortably inside.” She turned to se Malfoy leaning against a tree. He had a snowball in his hand and was watching her with a smirk.
“Don’t even think about it.” She hissed at him and turned around. She felt the cold hit her on the back of the head and then trickle down her back soaking her top. She shivered and then bent down and picked up some snow.
With quick speed she turned on her heels and looked to where Malfoy had originally been. He was hiding somewhere. She kept the snow tightly gripped in her hand and looked at each tree. The side of his coat was sticking out from behind one of them and she walked over slowly.
She jumped on him quickly and tried to stuff the snow in his face but all she found was his coat hanging on the tree. She felt someone grab her around the waist and stuff snow into her trousers.
“MALFOY!” She shrieked as the snow stained through her shorts and run down the back of her knees. She grabbed his arm and swung him around. Letting go of his jumper he fell to the ground and lay still. She straddled his hips and started pouring snow all over him.
He spluttered as it went into his mouth and tried to open his eyes and grab her arms. But it kept getting into his eyes and he couldn’t reach her. He bucked his hips and sent her flying forward on top of him. Instead of trying to kiss her, he wrapped his arms around her shivering body and lifted her off the ground. He carried into the school building and tried to warm her up.
He felt her tense when he set her down but kept his arms around her.
“Don’t run from me Hermione. Let me prove that I’ve changed.” He whispered in her ear. She felt his lips on her cheek. ‘I’m in trouble’ she thought but let him kiss her cheek then her throat then her chin and then finally her lips.
He then picked her back up and carried her to the common room. Putting her down on her bed and walked out to his room.
